It is really hidden place. But the view is amazing. You can have beautifull sunset in here. The owner, Marion is very nice and friendly. And the food is amazing. Taste so good. Very value for money. Will be back for sure.

Have payed as little as 8000 elsewhere. Didn't bother with further enquiries...WONT RETURN BEWARE WAITERS WITH ATTITUDE!! From 2 VERY LIKEABLE AUSTRALIANS AND WORLD TRAVELLERS

Had four nights here with the family in late July, after a few rather disappointing days in Legian and Ubud. Loved this area of East Bali - and can’t recommend it highly enough - and really enjoyed staying at Abalone. We had one of the villas -self contained bedrooms downstairs and upstairs. Really very beautiful and perfect for a family of four. Just perfect. Great pool area, right on the sea shore, and a lovely dining room / restaurant again overlooking the bay. No downsides at all - it’s a great place with lovely German-Indonesian hosts. Beach not as attractive or swimmable during our stay as those elsewhere, but I’m not a beach person! Anyway, some gorgeous isolated white sand beaches a few miles to the north of Candidasa and south of Padangbai for those who want beaches. All in all, highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the busier, more commercial side of Bali 😊

Really nice beach side restaurant, food is delicious, affordable and table service is good, however the complex is tired and rundown in need of a good tidy up and a gardener. The owner is helpful and very obliging

visited with my family, (2 adults and 2 kids). We had the prawns and it was absolutely beautiful. It is situated on the beach and is run by a german lady and her Balinese husband. This is a highly recommended restaurant and we found it by chance while strolling along the beach down from our hotel. The food is very good value for money and prices are not as expensive as other restaurants and the variety are bigger.

We were staying at a nearby resort. Went there for diner. We had the seafood special for two: just great! Friendly service, great atmosphere with the sound of the waves. Very tasty The Bali white wine "Hatten" is very good! A little hard to find but worth a visit.

Away from the hubub of Kuta, Abalone Resort is located on the beach in Buitan, a quiet, friendly seaside village. No hawkers, just a beautiful pool looking out to sea with the island of Nusa Pernida in the distance. The owner and staff are very attentive without being in your face, and the food is superb and very reasonably priced - residents from the two other local resorts frequently come here to eat and enjoy the sea breeze undisturbed.

Paid the equivalent of £40 very last minute for somewhere to stay! The rooms are big and spacious and the views and gorgeous. Wifi is perfect no problems at all and the bar has a large menu. Only a short distance to the centre of Padangbai for the ferry to Lombok & Gilli and the hotel can also organise the ferry for you!

First time in Bali and I really think that I had a bite of Bali here! Very nice and spacious bungalows/rooms with the wood-like “Bali feel”! Good but small swimmingpool with nice comfortable sunbeds. The german owner welcomed us and told about the place. The staff member are very nice and the food is good here. We booked though booking.com - and they reviewed it as a snorkling beach. I would not call it that! In good days a ‘swim beach’ - but actually none of the above! Theres a very good dive center nearby (southern divers) - and the resort is very helpful to arrange diving tours (with no extra profit on memory). If I should make two small remarks on this place: 1. since it’s a smaller place, you will sometimes have to look for the staff members to take your orders. A guidance on how to find staff, could be convenient. 2. the kitchen closes at 7pm - maybe due to the size of the resort. Anyway - I’ll absolutely recommend this resort and will absolutely come back.

Stopped for a beer and snack on a walkabout. Service was pretty average and the price of beer more than we were paying at our resort. With a bit of dedication and staff training this could be a great stop for the weary hungry traveller
