The pool is fabulous and the breakfast is quite good. That’s the end of the positive list. They called this a « superior room ». So unless you get a deluxe room (which look alright) you’re in for an awful time. Dark little hole at the back of the garden. The sheets had mold stains on them, walls and ceiling were falling apart, insects kept falling on us during the night, got bitten I don’t know how many times. I am still wondering how the sink was still holding up because half of the stone support had come off and the pipes were full of mold. Forget hot water here and you can’t connect to the wifi from the rooms either. Near the harbor so you hear boat horns from 4 o’clock in the morning. If you are looking to have a terrible night, please stay here.

I don't think this place is so bad. It is actually pretty good. Prices are more like a hotel not a homestay though. The place feels like a hotel anyways. It just depends which room you pick. If you take the little bungalow with fan (btw. there is no hot water, they say it somewhere on booking.com), you will get run down shabby, dark room, with little light and pretty bad bathroom. Those bungalows are crying for renovation so badly. I am sure that bathroom renovation would eliminate those bad reviews. Also, there are 2 types of bungalows, fan or aircon. The one with the aircon (also no hot water) missed the sink for some reason. Speaking of hot water, you will be ok as there is no such thing as cold water in Asia. It is always a little tiny bit warm. I mean you never get ice cold water from the tap. If you want to have a nice stay, get the room in the main block, they are very nice. However, you can get the same standard elsewhere in town for the price of cheaper rooms. That one is up to you. Breakfast is not bad at all. Banana pancakes are delicious. Staff is nice and helpful, location is one of the best in town. Garden and pool area are awesome. Very well maintained. In my opinion, it would be enough if they fixed the old bathrooms that are literally falling apart and put sink to every room. Then everybody would be more than happy to stay there as there is not much choice in Padangbai and this homestay is very nice eventually.

Much as I hate to give bad reviews, I'm struggling to think of anything positive to say about this place. We arrived after a horrendous speed boat journey from gili t, we received no welcome at all from the staff and were eventually shown to a dark dingy room at the back of the resort. It was so so hot and all the fan did was push hot air around. The lights were really low wattage and even with three of them on, it was so dark we couldn't see anything. There were no proper windows and the room smelt really musty. The outdoor bathroom was old and run down and when we turned the water on or flushed the toilet, the stench of sewage was overwhelming. No hot water was available. The bed at least was comfortable but had no top sheet, only a much used blanket. The staff denied that breakfast was included in our room rate (350k) even though we booked a rate including breakfast. We didn't bother eating here as they wanted 20k for a small cup of Nescafé. The following morning I stepped outside and was stung by a wasp, there was at least 20 small wasps crawling on the patio floor, I think there must have been a nest nearby. Oh, and the Wifi was useless. We had booked a 3 night stay here but moved to the lovely beij beach resort next door where we got a huge, light and clean room with hot water, a fridge and aircon for 300k. Sorry Padangbai but you really need to up your game if you want to charge this much for your rooms. Total rip off for the price!

I want stay here 3 nights but that terrible room makes me change my mind after first night. There's no possibility to open windows to get fresh air and toilet/bathroom is closed without air ventilation so you have to open door to room. It's so hot inside so it's not possible sleeping inside. In the morning I asked to cancel and asked to refund my money but they refused it. Be careful and NEVER PAY IN ADVANCE. Some rooms are okay and some aren't. But owner just want your money and don't care about your comfort. I'm visiting Bali several years and I never meet host like this :-(

Ate lunch here as part of a group, we were amazed at how much they managed to get wrong. The chicken noodle soup arrived as chicken noodles. The BLT had cabbage instead of lettuce and a random slice of cheese in it. The mayo was orange and spicy. The fries were cold. And my chicken fried rice had a fly squashed into it. I’m told all the restaurants nearby are just as bad but I can’t imagine how anywhere could be as wrong! My advice: bring sandwiches or buy snacks from the pier!

This is the 5th time I have stayed here and kept meaning to wriite a review, so here it is. I love this place and it feels so homely. The staff and owners are so nice and would do anything for you. Love the rooms with air con, huge bed, tv and even a fridge. The pool and grounds are so well maintained. I also tend to eat here quite a lot. The breakfasts are great and for lunch I tend to get an egg sandwch which is great - full of chunky fresh salad as well as egg and cheese. Lovely. My last visit was especially nice as I had taken an interest in a street dog and her puppies. The owners let her stay in the garage area until the puppies could be homed. Caring, considerate people. They obviously didn't want puppies running all over the restaurant, but managed to juggle everything to a very happy ending. Read some other reviews about bugs all over ! I haven't seen anything like that and am surprised as the staff are always cleaning. Highly recommend it.

I have read some critical reviews of this hotel. I was totally satisfied with my accommodation - room D - clean, comforatable, good functioning plumbing with hot water in shower. Air-conditioned and lovely terrace overlooking the pool. The staff were utterly delightful and the breakfast choices superb. Restaurant overlooked beach. The whole place was very clean - they even swept the road in front every morning. I believe that some of the negative reports mistook this place for a similarly-named one elsewhere in the town. My experience was fantastic

Our group of friends needed to stay the night in Padangbai before continuing on to our trip. We made the mistake of staying at the Padangbai Beach Homestay. The place is crawling with cockroaches and centipedes, and the staff don't seem to be bothered by it. Pay a bit extra and have a good night's sleep.

The open air wc is dangerous due to the fauna living around. A mouse stole our soap twice, and bite our luggage. The room is unpolite and there are not cleanliness. The breakfat is poor. The best is the pool.
