Bali Mandira Beach Resort & Spa receives high marks for its stellar service, with staff members often described as friendly and professional, though a few guests have encountered inconsistency. Its prime location earns consistent praise, being just steps from the beach and nearby attractions. The resort's amenities, including well-maintained pools and diverse breakfast options, are popular among families, though some guests mention overcrowding. The cleanliness of the resort is regularly applauded, as is the enjoyable atmosphere, though opinions on decor and room conditions vary. While some travelers find the resort to offer good value, others point out the high costs and extra charges.

Bali Mandira is a great option for families! The pool area is amazing and has everything from water slides to a shallow beach at one end of the pool for little ones to play. On a Sunday night, there is an outdoor movie night held on the lawn ... which (despite a few technical hitches) was a great way to spend a lazy evening.

Azul Beach Club offered really family friendly meals and everything we had there was delicious. It's so handy to have a good eating option onsite, although there is no shortage of good food to be found in the area. This resort is in a great location for Legian.

We stayed in a deluxe cottage. Perfect size for our requirements (2 adults & 1 child) and the outdoor shower area was super cute. Based on online photos it would appear some deluxe cottage rooms have been refurbished as ours was an older style of decor that did not align with the images shown. However, we still like the room and would opt for a deluxe cottage on again on our next stay. The entire resort has a great Balinese charm to it

Dear gddn24, We would like to thank you for taking your precious time to write review about your most recent experience at Bali Mandira Beach Resort & Spa. It is gratifying to read your positive words that you remarking us as a great option for families, the combination between modern facilities and traditional balinese architecture. It is right that the deluxe cottage is classic Balinese style cottage which is located in single storey and two storey cottage The single storied cottages features bathtub, an open air shower and connecting room facilities, just steps away from the restaurants, swimming pool and the beach. The upper – storied cottages feature modern chic design with sofa bed and large private terrace. The entire team at Bali Mandira Beach Resort & Spa is truly looking forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best regards Wayan Sunatha

As a family of four, we had an amazing time staying at Bali Mandira. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I emailed beforehand to see if the room layout could be changed so the children had their own beds and nothing was too much trouble.

Our room had Australian power points, so no need for adaptors. Rooms also had a hairdryer, safe, television and daily servicing. Beach towels are available at the pool to use for no charge.

The pool suits both adults and children with waterslides, a beach entry, spas and swim up bar for food and drinks.

Bali Mandira is in a great location across the street from Legian Beach, a twenty minute walk to Kuta, close to shops and a short car ride (in distance!) to Water Bom, Seminyak, Kuta Square, 3D and upside down world. Lots of restaurants within a five minute walk, including many western foods. The onsite restaurant also has great food, a little pricey, but a good selection. We had breakfast included, which was great. Everything from hot breakfast, cereals, pastries etc.

We have never stayed anywhere in the world in the same place twice, but would definately visit Bali Mandira again.

We actually stayed here in November 2018 (a little behind in my reviews) and picked this resort as part of a Jetstar family package. To be honest I didn’t expect much, as usually as part of packages the hotels can be a bit meh but I have to say this place is just awesome.

Rooms were big and clean & the young lad who looked after our room always put beautiful fresh flowers in there and the kids loved writing him notes that he always responded to.

The pool was great and was LOVED by all the family. The buffet breaky was looked forward to by the whole family every morning & all meals and drink were top notch. We also loved the kids club and our kids looked forward to going as well.

When we are back on Bali we will be going there.

We stayed for 8 nights in a Superior family room, we had requested a balcony room, which we were provided with. This room was in the older wing, and had a king.and two single trundle beds (not permanently in the room). The room was quite squishy and we felt like we were on top of each other the entire time. We could have upgraded to an interconnecting cottage at approx $230 / night. On our last day, we arranged for a late checkout (at an additional charge), and had to move rooms. We changed to another family room in the newer wing, which was more modern, with a double bed and two singles. The bathroom was much better in this room too (there was no balcony so there was also more room to move). If I had my time again, I probably would have chosen this room to begin with. We must have been unlucky (or maybe they only do it in selected rooms) as we never had any towel animals left at any time during our stay (the little things that kids were looking forward too), and house keeping would come at all different times, one day not until after 3pm which could be a bit of nuisance.

The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the beach front, easy access to many restaurants. The gardens are lovely, and the pool area was a hit with the kids, the sandy beach area, the slides even the general depth of the pool. Breakfast was pleasant, eggs made to order, pastries, toast and spreads (including vegemite), bacon etc. The water refill stations around the hotel is a great initiative to save on the waste of single use bottles.

Our kids used the kids club during our stay, but more so for the company of other kids, rather than the activities/staff. Quite different to the previous resort we have stayed at, some activities attracted an additional charge (eg, bead making)

I can’t say enough about this resort. The staff were amazing, courteous, kind, caring, I honestly have not got enough words to describe them.
The rooms were clean and perfect (we stayed in a deluxe cottage), the outdoor shower was awesome.
The grounds were immaculately looked after. Every single day we saw people cleaning and tidying it, which is a testament to their caring for our experience. The grounds were so calming, green and beautiful.
Breakfast (buffet) was excellent every day. My dad is not able to walk and due to medications he doesn’t wake early enough, so my mum would make him a plate when we were finished our breakfast and they would take it with a hot coffee to him every day. Just beautiful.
The food in the resort restaurants was expensive compared to the ones a few metres out of the resort, so look outside in that respect. Azul was yummy, that’s in the resort if you don’t want to leave.
The pools and pool area are excellent, such a good vibe and so clean. So many options for laying about, or having a drink or watching your kids.
All in all, we will definitely return. We loved it.
Thank you Bali Mandira for an amazing 10 days.

This resort is beautiful, the location is right beside the beach and a short walk from central Kuta. It’s close to several restaurants, bars and shopping centres. The staff here are some of the nicest people we have met, they are very friendly and attentive and willing to help at any stage. The hotel is beautiful, with a traditional Indonesian style. There are new flower decorations every day on the grass and you can tell everything that is done here is done to perfection. Would highly recommend this hotel. The pools are also huge with lots of variety - including upper deck infinity pool and jacuzzi 🔥

The hotel is large and the grounds wonderful however there is extra cleaning around common areas and maintenance which needs to be done for the cost you are paying. Some rooms are dated and needing some upgrades.

The pool is great for children and adults as it is large enough to be away from the busy kid area, so those complaining about the noise of children should most likely find a sun bed not next to the children’s slide or maybe just use the adults only pool.

The food options at the pool bar are limited and we would have liked to see more selection and better quality meals. However the cocktails are fantastic!

The kids club was very disappointing , for a hotel which aims to be family friendly I expected a much better facility. The kids club is an old bedroom converted into a “playroom” the space would entertain kids up to 3 and even then the activities are limited. More attention needs to be given to this service and it really isn’t acceptable to convert a bedroom (which I must add we have stayed in on a previous stay) into a play space to entertain and engage young children in fun experiences the maximum amount of kids at one time in this space should be no more than 4 as the space is far to small. Other hotels offer a daily schedule with engaging activities and games taking place for children to join and be involved in throughout the day, which also includes staff who enthusiastically make the experience wonderful for kids. This then allows parents to enjoy a little time to relax and unwind with peace of mind. I hope to see this space moved to a more acceptable location within the hotel if we choose to stay again.

Paid a lot of money to be put in a hotel room at the back of the hotel with no balcony facing a back wall right near the lift so we heard everything outside. We were offered an upgrade but after waiting for two hours the options presented were smaller rooms with less bedding for our family (ie we’d have to share beds) albeit with a balcony so we just left it as we’d already wasted enough time. Bathroom was dated and cramped.
Breakfast worthy of a 3 star hotel, we ended up going out for food.
Only saving grace was the pool area and water slides and access to the beach. Great area for kids.
Apart from the amazing pool area it’s really just a 3.5 star hotel.

So we paid approximately AUD$935 for two nights in the Mandira Club Suite, which is absolutely an enormous amount of money for a hotel in Bali. The suite wasn't that big. It was miles away from the pool. And of the two days, our air conditioner did not work for 75% of the time. After check in late Monday arvo, we spent one night completely drenched in sweat trying various settings on our air con attempting to get it to work. On the Tuesday when we rang up and complained after our first sweaty night where our room was hotter than the outside temperature, a technician was sent round to fix it. When we returned hours later, it still was not fixed and the room was hot again, so we called up and got the technician sent around for a second time. Thus we went back to the pool side for a few hours whilst the maintenance attempted to fix the air conditioner again. However when we returned back to the room it was still hot. Upon calling the reception for the third time at approximately 1-2pm ish; saying that the air con is still broken and only delivering hot air, we were informed that the reception would call us in a few hours when a new room might be available. We finally called reception at 5pm after hearing nothing all afternoon and were finally able to move suites to one with a working air conditioner. And to top it off apart from a "sorry for the upset" nothing was ever offered. And when our flight was cancelled leaving wednesday morning we were charged an additional AUD$100 for staying in the room until 6pm.

Yes the deluxe cottages did not have room for four people. We booked two interconnecting cottages to fit 2 adults and 2 older children. The family room where we spent one night was really big with double bed, and two single beds. Plus a huge day bed.
