Really interesting place! We had to opportunity to stay in two different bungalows, and every bungalow has it's own style, the inside & outside decoration is done with a lot of taste and every bungalow has it's own charm and looks like a place that you see only in movies. The breakfast, prepared by the owner's wife every morning is...

I spent a too short time at this delightful little boutique hotel. Manik and her husband Alexander and their son Alexander were wonderful hosts. The place itself is quirky and extremely interesting. Full of antiques and fun touches but very comfortable and user friendly. Wifi is very reliable and our breakfast was huge! We spent hours lying on the sun...

What a truly original and beautiful haven. Stayed 3 nights and already booked to come back. It is a sophisticated collection of treasures from near and far with a distinctive Japanese/Indonesian flavour. Talk about flavour, the breakfast is the best Ive ever had in a casual bungalow situation. Super comfy bed and the sound of the ocean lulling me to...

We stayed in 2 different accommodations before discovering this beautiful tiny boutique property. Best suited for people looking for privacy and homely acco. On the ocean front (Amed beach is mostly volcanic pebbles). Spacious cottage with an attic / reading room (our daughter grabbed this for herself). Personally managed by the lovely Owner Manick who supervised everything including a very...

Over this time I have had a multitude of experiences all over Bali, Lombok and the surrounding smaller islands, and stayed at all levels of accommodation from cheap losmens to 5 star resorts and I have never...

This is just such a special, charming, beautiful place. We loved our stay here. The furniture and design are full of unique Japanese antique items. Great service across the board. And the couple who owns the place are wonderful.

We stayed two nights over the weekend. Great space and wonderful hosts. The deco is fantastic, rooms comfortable and directly on the beach. OMG the breakfast will keep you going to dinner. Fresh Fruit, Eggs anyway you want and pancakes to finish all washed down with a nice cup of coffee.

Our dive instructor in Amed recommended a stay in Pondok Laut for our last night in Amed and we did not regret it. Our stay was very comfortable with one of the best showers and breakfasts we had during our holiday. The whole hotel has a very nice Japanese style decoration. The sea view from our appartment was lovely and...

The best place that we stayed at in Bali. The owners gave friendly service and good advice. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast is the best I have had in any hotel. The whole place is festooned with interesting artefacts and beautiful carvings.

Pondok Laut was the highlight of my trip to Bali. Originally we booked 3 nights but after staying there, we returned for another 2 nights. Our hosts, Manick, Alexander, and their son, were all very engaging. They helped us with recommendations of outstanding places to eat, arrangements for drivers, and even medical advice when my daughter wasn't feeling well. The...
