We booked into Di Abian Villa, not the resort and assumed it was a private pool villa. It was actually a villa with a private pool in the middle of someones yard. When we asked to speak to the manager he refused to come down to talk to us and address our concerns. Very disappointing. Lovely villa and pool but certainly misleading advertising. The property is also a long way out of town. We chose not to stay here but return to beautiful Candi Dasa. Please note the villa is in a different location to the resort. We did not go to the resort.
Without a doubt one of the favorite resorts We stayed during our time in Bali! The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible ! We had few great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the Czech Owners, who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! I`m am a professional chef, and the home made fat chips , Are The Best I have Ever tasted!!! Would definitely recommend this resort to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again to all Team, for going just that little step extra for the guests! And helping us with everything! Whether it was with our lost luggage in Manila airport, or renting a scooters, finding a doctor when injury happened to one of us, and etc. . . Thank You so very much! We felt right at home here from day one! You'll find here all you need for a nice holiday in Amed. Di Abian is located right in the heart of Lipah close to the beach. Many nice restaurants are close by. We were very happy with the in-house restaurant. Delicious food for small prices. The bungalows are nice, clean and spacious with hot water and aircon. The breakfast comes with coffee or tea, pancakes, eggs, toast and freshly made fruit juices. The garden and pool are fantastic. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The owner has changed at the beginning of 2018 and we can definitely recommend this resort ! !
It is such a pleasure to stay here!! We actaully planned to stay there for 3-4 days and now it will be exactly 2 weeks! The owners Tomas and Marketa are really lovingly and warm hearted people. They have a good contact to the locals and they included and invited us to some good partys and cozy evenings.. The resort - the bungalows, pool and restaurant are great and there are greatful people working here! We will come back again next year! ❤
We stayed only two nights at this wonderful place. I wish it were more! The villa was great and very clean. The pool was amazing and the garden well-kept. The czech owners Marketa and Tomas were very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place.
Tomas & Marketa and all their staff were wonderful helpful hosts. I arrived for 3 nights & then a 4th. They had great food and very welcoming for hints and help for my further travels. I recommend them
The rooms are pretty big, and the garden is pretty. The proximity to the beach is good, too. Cleanliness is average for a tropical beach town that's inevitably prone to bugs. I have to agree with previous reviews that the lack of management/organization is the issue here--sometimes no one was at reception when we needed to ask questions, our welcome drink glasses were never picked up from our room, and they attracted an army of ants. One of the employees was able to help us rent snorkeling equipment and kayaks, but the guy who they had us rent from was sketchy, and he tried to scam us (long story that's unimportant, the point is--not a fan of the "company" that the hotel staff recommended to us). Finally, on the last day, we asked for late checkout (regular checkout is at 11 am), and they said we couldn't, but then no one was at reception when we went to check out at 11, which was annoying since we had rushed to be ready to go on time. Nothing egregious, just felt meh about this place. I would recommend Aquaterrace Bed and Breakfast if you want a romantic and beautiful secluded getaway, or Life in Amed if you'd prefer a more centrally located place that's got great staff. …
The bungalows are quite nice and spacious but could do with a good clean-out. The resort is not on the beach, only a 5 Min. walk to beautiful Lipa beach, but is very quiet. The garden and pool are very nice and well looked after. Unfortunately there is no manager and we have never seen the owner. The highest we could talk to was the gardener. Our booking was pre paid, however when we checked out, they wanted to charge us again and it took quite a wail till it was cleared up. Overall quite nice, but could do with some management.
To be quick: they have not an actual reception, they sleep behind the desk and have absolutely no clue about how to act with customers requests (simple ones like rent a scooter). We had to specifically ask them to put a bottle of water in our room every morning, otherwise we wouldn't have drinkable water. They call their "friends" to rent scooters or book "taxis". Breakfast is really small. But on the positive side, the garden is gorgeous and the room pretty big for the price (although a bit dirty...).
Lovely, spacious bungalows in pretty grounds with a pool. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and free drink on arrival. We were the only ones staying there for two nights so we had the pool to ourselves. If I was to be picky then I'd say the place could be a bit cleaner and it would be nice to have the room checked daily as we had to ask for more toilet roll. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance.
