Thank you to Solaluna for a fantastic week in a large room with a great view. The afternoon coconut pancakes were a real treat. Enjoyed the breakfasts. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, a mms we look forward to returning.
This hotel is fantastic! Absolutely one of my favourites that I have been to in all of SE Asia! Everything is awesome, but the thing that really stands out to me is the owner and his staff. They are what makes this place exceptional. They do everything they can to make sure you have an awesome stay. They provide exceptional service from the delicious mid-afternoon pancake they serve you to the breakfast that is served in the cafe in the morning! Whatever you could possibly need or want, they can arrange. One morning we were watching the fishermen come in with mackerel. Made asked us if we wanted fish for breakfast and they cooked it right up for us. They are the friendliest, most helpful people you can meet! Made and the rest of the crew really made our stay memorable. The location is fantastic. Right on the beach. It is quite and peaceful and such a joy to interact with the surrounding locals. There are many great restaurants within a minutes walk and the hotel's really great mini-mart - Solaluna where you can get everything from flip-flops to snacks to fresh produce. Prices are excellent! Our bungalow was beautiful. It was large, spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable. The outdoor seating space was wonderful and overlooking the ocean. I've never slept better in the three months we have been travelling! The room comes with everything you could need. A fairly large fridge with two free large bottles of water which can be refilled for free. They even have two ice cold Bintang beer glasses waiting in the freezer! It is also stocked with soft drinks and beer which can be purchased for a very reasonable price, coffee and tea making facilities, beach bath and hand towels and even a hairdryer! The room also has exceptionally strong wifi. Breakfast which can be taken either on your wonderful patio or in the cafe was lovely. There is a good choice available for your main and it is served with either coffee or tea, juice or fruit salad. The property also has great amenities. They have free stand up professional paddle boards for the guests use. You can rent snorkel equipment for a very reasonably $30K per day. They have scooters available for rent and can arrange for any type of tour you want to do. This property and it's great owner and it's wonderful staff far exceeded my expectations!…
King room looking right out onto the beach--beautiful views, great aircon, and relaxing. The staff were all wonderful--friendly and professional and very warm and welcoming without being awkward. Truly welcoming and they make the stay (and I am not a people person). Breakfast was yummy and filling, and the views from the top floor of The Cup are gorgeous. Close to Warung Enak, shops, diving and right on the gorgeous beach with a view of Agung. You can get a (great) massage on the beach or in your room, and if you want to snorkel or go fishing the staff is happy to arrange it. I quickly got spoiled by the watermelon juice and delicious snack that appeared each day at 4pm. and lunch one day of fresh caught mackerel with Balinese spices was super yummy. There was noise from a new bar the Sunday night I was there, but the owner is already installing more soundproofing and the village is looking at new hour restrictions.…
Great staff, lovely room and veranda. Food at restaurant in front was great and the breakfasts yummy and filling. The salt farm next door was interesting to watch over the week. The very helpful staff organised sailing in the spiderboats, paddle boards etc for us. Cooked us pancakes for afternoon tea each day and fish straight off the boats for lunch.
The most special thing about Solaluna is the staff. Bali is renowned for its hospitality but this is a step above anything I have experienced. Traveling on my own for the first time, I was made to feel welcome and safe. The rooms are basic but the location is sensational. The large trees at the beachfront are perfect for providing some shade while enjoying the ocean view. I recommend the boat ride to Coral Garden and Jemeluk Bay for some snorkeling. So many different fish! The food is fresh and tasty at the adjoining restaurant.
We had a great time once again! Solaluna Homestay provides very clean bungalows, excellent service and the people are friendly and ready to help you with whatever you need. They organised our pick up and drop off from and to the airport with very good drivers. Having a café (The Cup) just behind our bungalow was great for those days we were too tired to walk to any of the warungs of the main street. (The coffee there is excellent!!). The place is perfect for those who like snorkelling. Just walking 200 m East you can launch in front of Camessa Hotel and swim East until BarRacuda. There, the visibility usually decreases. This is a damaged coral reef, now slowly recovering. The coral in some patches is very good, and there are large numbers of diverse tropical fishes. You can spot turtles frequently. However the best spot for snorkelling is Jemeluck Bay which requires just 15-20 min walking East from Solaluna, with great visibility and calm waters most of the time. You need to be aware of currents if you venture towards the end of the bay, which you should not do without good gear (fins!). Usually you can let yourself drift the current and then swim back with a bit more effort. The diversity of fish and corals is amazing!…
We had a perfect stay on the beach in Amed in our two Bungalows at the Solaluna! The staff (Made in particular) were fantastic as well as the rooms and food in the restaurant.... Every afternoon we received a snack on our balcony and most evenings we had a massage arranged for us,... the last evening they prepared for us a grilled tuna for free... Just a short 100 meter walk to the right of our Bungalows there were fantastic views in the corals while snorkeling.... We recommend the Solaluna!

Perfect, 10/10! We stayed for two nights in the beach bungalow that has direct view to the sea and mt. Agung. The room was very clean, ac working good, excellent wifi and very nice bathroom, coffee/tea/water for free at all times in the room. The staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming(!). Complimentary fresh banana juice upon arrival, fresh caught fish cooked for dinner (for cheap price), breakfast served at our patio (included in our room price), private beach and if you get lucky like we did, had the place practically for ourselves at some of the time. Excellent and cheap food/beverage at their restaurant (best spring rolls we have eaten so far). If you want to RELAX and chill and get the most perfect service, this is the place! Recommend highly and will defenitely return!…
