Similar to other posts, we purchased this vacation at a charity auction. When we found out the resort was a total of 4 villas, we recruited 3 other couples and had the whole resort to ourselves. We visited in May 2022. The accommodations are beautiful and very well kept. Each room has its own bathroom and an additional outdoor shower (a real treat), along with a small gym, pool table and massage area. We took advantage of the laundry services and massages, which did not disappoint!! The staff is excellent. They are extremely friendly and helpful. We had them arrange for a suckling pig and they made a phenomenal Balinese feast with traditional dancers. It was a highlight of the trip! The driver - Made - was patient and kind and took us all around the island. We visited the Monkey Forest, Ubud, temples and took the boat over to Gilli to snorkel with the turtles. We were well taken care of and I would highly recommend this resort.

If you're reading this it's likely you're considering bidding on a package, yes you should. If you're reading it's also likely because you have bought this package, congratulations, you'll love it.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, inviting, and makes you feel like honored family. The food they prepared at the resort was absolutely delicious including the best onion rings I've had my entire life. The rooms were kept immaculate. Laundry service was amazing. And the massages are to die for relaxing.

The location to Amed was a moderate walk or a very short drive with several very delicious restaurants within a few minutes walk away. It's a quieter area, compared to Ubud, Seminyak, or Denpaser, and that was a welcome relief.

Being a tad out of the way, you can stay as busy or as quiet as you want. Diving the liberty ship was a once in a life time moment. We spent a day visiting the Gili Islands. We devoted a day just hanging out in Amed which was so much fun. We spent our last day laying on the outdoor Bali bed enjoying tropical rains. At no point were we board, at no point did we ever feel rushed!

My wife and I felt very blessed to have been able be a small part of the Jepun Bali Villas story.

The attention to detail “Bali Style” is incredible. A hillside resort composed of only 4 modern villas allows for the ultimate personal experience; this is just the beginning. The vaulted ceiling, canopied teak 4 poster bed, the inside and outside shower and beautiful stone and marble features along with the round basin sinks are warm and inviting. The sliding doors to your private Bale with a lounge bed is perfect for an evening beverage. The furniture is upscale, contemporary in the main area and the conical ceiling and living and dining area allows for gathering. Local art and hand carved statues in the rooms and in the lushly landscaped terraced property invite a peaceful and relaxing vibe. The landscape design brings many Balinese features together. Here is where the details bring you in touch with the natural surroundings. Courtyard gardens, water features with an infinity pool, as well as a cascading waterfall with its beautiful sounds and shade trees allows rejuvenation. The early morning sounds of nature are refreshing. No detail has been overlooked. The staff are incredibly talented and helpful. It compares to a Four Seasons but it’s size allows for an ultimately upscale but unpretentious experience.

I won a trip to this property through a silent charity auction and didn't do much research before arriving. Needless to say it was such a beautiful surprise to arrive at Jepun Villas and find myself in paradise! The room was luxurious and comfortable with a king size bed, a/c and large indoor and outdoor showers. The pool and grounds were immaculate and perfectly landscaped. The hotel is perched up on a hill so there are views of the ocean and the feeling of privacy and being off the beaten path even though you're right near many restaurants and other hotels. At the end of the day though the staff was what made our stay so special and filled with a lifetime of memories. Sunny, Made, Sue, Juni, Agus, Robert and Dedy were so friendly, warm and genuine. By week's end, the staff all came out to say goodbye and it was truly moving. Made, our driver, took us around the island and helped create our itinerary. We wouldn't have seen half as much without his help. At one point we requested trying out roast pork and thought we'd just go to a restaurant, but the staff arranged a dinner with a suckling pig roasted just for us. It was truly special. Can't wait to go back. Oh and although the property is ideal for couples, we brought a 4 year old and the staff made us and her feel right at home.

We had the fortunate opportunity to stay at Jepun Bali Villas for our honeymoon in July 2022. We were amazed at the luxury of the resort and with the kindness and flexibility of the staff, who assisted us in transportation around Bali as well as introduced us to food and customs of the area. Scott was a notable host. Although he was only at the villa for our first night, his fantastic hosting and warm personality made us feel welcome from day one. He was also available via phone/SMS both before and during our stay. The grounds are immaculate, and when you aren’t too busy enjoying massages with an ocean view, it is wonderful to cool off in the infinity pool. The activities offered around and outside of Amed are also varied, fun and taken care of by great people who will make sure you enjoy it 100%. We can also highly recommend spending part of your trip at the Gili islands if you have the time (Scott and his staff can help arrange a charter).

If you are seeking the warmth and friendliness of a bed and breakfast along with the privacy and high end luxury of a 5 star resort, Jepun Bali Villas is the perfect option. We hope to be back soon.

My boyfriend and I spent a week here and we could not speak highly enough about the property and staff. I was nervous about visiting in November during the 'wet season' but it only rained twice for a short time and any clouds we saw made for gorgeous sunsets. It is a unique experience to stay at a resort of only 4 private villas, but everyone we met was friendly and respectful. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool talking to the other guests. Sunny and Made were really helpful with providing recommendations for restaurants to visit or excursions to go on. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and hospitable.

Because the location is 2.5 - 3+ hours from the airport, we booked a hotel Seminyak for our couple nights after our stay at Jepun Bali Villa. I would recommend doing that for anyone traveling as far as we did (from New York). That way you don't have to start your cross continental travel day driving across Bali. I would also recommend taking out cash wherever you can find the cheapest exchange rate, because you want to be able to tip at the end of your stay.

We had the most relaxing time here, would recommend it to anyone.

This resort is hands down the most beautiful place we've ever stayed...and we've stayed all over the world. The villas were absolute perfection - from the incredible outdoor shower to the netting covered, solid wooden beds with the best pillows and softest bedding, to the beautiful art work and wooden sculptures. We felt like we were visiting family. Every staff member treated us with such kindness and generosity. The chefs were incredible...best food we had on the whole island! We were pampered every waking hour with the beautiful ocean views, the perfectly situated pool, and just the right combination of sunshine and shade from the flowering trees throughout the property. The workout room was perfect as well, and the location just right...Close enough to some activity but has the village feel. We are so grateful to have experienced Bali at the Jepun Bali Villa and we will definitely be back! Thank you for the perfect vacation!

The property is absolutely gorgeous. Review based on a stay when all 4 villas were in use and a child present:

Location: Amed. Mostly for those who just want to lounge and do water activities (boat rides, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving). Not the best place for a 1st timer in Bali who wants to see sites. It is very far from the airport.

Property: very lovely. The pool area is great. The stairs are steep but just pace yourself. There are lovely ponds around with live fish. Definitely a treat. It is not right on the beach. The closest beach is directly across the street but unfortunately it is a beach with rocks and not sand. For a beach with sand, you can have the driver take you about 15 minutes away.

Transportation: Made is a great driver and very patient. He explains things clearly. The included transportation only includes transport to and from the airport, and within Amed. There is no clear cost of transportation for sightseeing and it is a bit hand-wavy when you ask for an exact cost. It was very difficult to plan even when we tried to go around with other guests.

I would highly suggest considering including some sort of sightseeing package as an add-on or included for guests with explicit pricing.

Massage: very affordable and relaxing if this is your thing. The ladies were great.

Meals: only breakfast is included in the cost. The options are very limited. Drinks in the villa refrigerator and all other meals are marked up significantly compared to surrounding restaurants and markets. Dinner and lunch menus offer more options.

Value for cost: low. It would be much better to stay close to Ubud if you want to see sights. But there are also better options in Amed in terms of cost, activities, and accessibility to other areas.

Thank you Diva for your review- appreciate the mention of the staff and how lovely the grounds are and massages as well. Yes we are not in the hustle bustle of some of the other parts of the island but for many that is perfect as our area is often referred to as the "Real Bali". I do understand it is not for all but the charm and to see the locals up close how they live in the village is not seen in many of the other areas unfortunately. All the best and thank you for your visit to Jepun!!

My husband and I just had a wonderful stay at Jepun Bali Villas. Our villa was beautiful, and the indoor/outdoor showers were a nice touch. The property is well manicured and filled with lovely accents and water features. They have Jepun flowering trees throughout the resort, so there are always beautiful flowers scattered throughout the property. The staff are committed to making sure you have everything that you need throughout the stay. They prepare amazing meals and organize any excursions/adventures that you would like to do. The driver, Made', handles the transportation to/from the airport and any other trips you would like to take throughout the week. We went to the Lempuyang Temple, a Luwak coffee plantation, the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, Monkey Forest in Ubud, an amazing woodworking store, and a beautiful waterfall. We also went to Sunset Point in Ahmed for dinner while watching the sun set behind the Mount Batur Volcano. We went scuba diving at the nearby beach with the instructor, Sama Rasa, and we went again with him the following day to scuba dive at the USAT Liberty shipwreck in Tulamben. We had an incredible experience, highly recommend!

Jepun Bali Villas is an intimate resort with 4 private villas, a beautiful pool and an helpful, efficient staff! Although it is private, it is also a great place to meet and share experiences with others. The resort offers breakfast daily, which is great time to plan your day by sharing knowledge and excursion plans. They offer a driver (more if needed) to get you around the area or the island. We chose to learn about Bali with other guests and we enjoyed it immensely! Some highlights were a day at the White Sand Beach (about an hour away), massages at any time of the day, a day trip to Gilli T island and just seeing the amazing villages/countryside. I have already recommended this resort, and Bali, to a number of friends!

Thank you very much for your review and the mention also of how great it is that it is only 4 private villas and a great way to get to know some new friends and have some wonderful experiences with them as well. The day trip to Gili is always great fun for the guests and the white sand beach is one of the favorites for the guests that want to find a little piece of heaven on the beach. Thank you again for your visit and hope we see you back at Jepun one day. All the best- Jepun Team
