Our group of 5 just returned from a wonderful stay at Batu Tangga. It's a stunning villa with mesmerizing views at every level, fantastic pool and quality furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms were all super comfortable. There's a handy street level entrance or you can enter via the carpark with stairs down to the pool level. The wrap around ocean views are amazing especially with the spectacle of all the local fishing boats returning with their catch each morning. Sari and staff were very helpful and efficient in providing us with reasonably priced motorbikes and other supplies. Amed is our favourite getaway in Bali and this villa is a great way to experience it!

Villa Batu Tangga is a bed bug infested nightmare, me, my baby son and wife all got bitten. We stayed only 2 nights and at first I didn’t think too much of the tiny bites which I noticed on my son the second day, but as I have learned now from the doctor, bedbug bites are painless at first, but later after few days turn into painful itchy fluid filled large blisters. The view is great, and this vila was probably great before as the reviews say, but unfortunately villa wasn’t cleaned before our arrival, because the owner didn’t even inform his staff they had anyone checking in, the staff started cleaning the villa when we arrived and that was only sweeping the floors with brooms for 15 minutes, the owner unfortunately is also a liar and doesn’t take any responsibility for the infestation. After reading a review I left him on another website he immediately contacted me and requested I remove the review and made some ridiculous claims where we got the bites, and completely denied it could have been from the bed bugs in his villa, but the funny thing is he immediately blocked his calendar for the villa for the next 40 days. Lets hope he fixes the problem, but if he doesn't want to admit the problem and take any responsibility for the infestation and confirm what actions he will take to fix it, then this villa is not worth the risk of having hideous permanent scars form the bed bugs!…

It was like a dream, after all the hustle and bustle from the South of Bali and Ubud, ending up in this amazing home was a delightful experience. Six people only having to worry about what to order to Sally for lunch and dinner. The rooms, the decoration, everything was perfect. The pool and that view were only the peak of the iceberg. Thank you Sally. Fue un sueño, después de todo el bullicio del sur de Bali y Ubud, acabar en una villa tan increíble fue una delicia. Seis personas con la única preocupación de tener que pedir con antelación la comida y la cena para que Sally la tuviera lista. Las habitaciones, la decoración.. Todo era perfecto. One of a few times when everything looks better than in pictures. Villa is located near fishing village Amed and it is complicated express in words how kind and welcome are people here. If we just stayed in Seminyak or Kuta we never knew what Bali is in reality. We really experienced authentic Bali and balinese people. Villa is gorgeous with infinity pool, clean and well facilitated but what it makes outstanding is Sari. All fives days she took care of us, her cooking skills are excellent, she has superb sense of humour and we all loved to have a chat with her and find out more about balinese culture, religion, daily life and their habits. She made all arrangements for the activities and everything went smooth. Many thanks Sari from all of us. We also invited Sari and her family for a dinner and had a great evening together. Nature around Amed is beautiful and you will not meet crowds of tourists here. This is absolutely different Bali than Nusa Dua or Kuta from all points of you. We were travelling 3 families (7 persons). …

Four of us stayed here last week. We were met on arrival by Sari, the wonderful housekeeper and cook. She made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was a problem for her! She is an excellent cook, and being able to stay home for dinner without having to cook, was a real treat! She and her helpers made sure the villa was spotless each day. Would definitely recommend.
