The hotel is situated at a vantage point no doubt, and looks very impressive from outside. It has a spacious lobby and its rear has a stunning view of the confluence of Bay of Bengal and Arabian sea, together with the Vivekananda Memorial. So its sea facing rooms are highly preferred. But tea kit, kettle are not provided unless asked for. Food is expensive and highly spiced. And the washroom is HORRIBLE. Fitted with a dim yellow lamp from the 1950s, it lacks ventilation and STINKS. It is an ordeal to even brush one's teeth or shave.. the place is so dingy. The sanitary fittings also belong to the 1950s.. heck they are a disgrace.
We stayed for one night at this hotel. The location is just superb. Once can see the sunrise from one of the rooms. Alternatively, the view from the terrace is much better in the morning. Saves a lot of time/hassle. However, the rooms look a bit old/dated. Atleast our bathroom, didnt have proper exhaust facilities and there was mould at some places. Overall an ok place.
Had been on vacation to see the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari and found this amazing hotel. There are many hotels next to this one but, this was the best one on all aspects viz. the cost, the view from the room, the staff and covid protocal. The best part is that you can enjoy the Sun rise from the room itself and sunset point is 5 mins walking. For the tourists who don't understand the language, the staff at this hotel can speak Hindi and English. Hotel has restaurant facility so good food is available all the time. Mr. Nelson at the reception is very helpful. I am sharing some pics of view from the room to tempt you.
Comfortable place to stay. We stayed just one day but the service was so good. In whole kanya kumari this is the best place to view and the view from room will be awesome. The breakfast was average but the room and service was very good. The breakfast can be improved.
Absolutely terrible, not recommended for Western visitors. Bathrooms are filthy, rooms smell, sheets stained, bathroom full of mould, window frames have holes so a gentle gust of wind turns into a whistling wind tunnel. And the ‘bar’, good lord...it looks like a murder scene basement under construction. The only positive is the view (staff are friendly), but honestly, not worth the trouble of coming here. Save your time go somewhere else
Breathe taking views of the ocean from the room. This was my second visit and the restaurant was significantly better about 3years back however has terrible service and food quality is below an average.
We spent 2 days at the Seaview. Rooms are a bit old style wise. Soon they will have to be renovated. Nevetless they are large in size. Showers have hot and cold water, no bucket needed. Breakfast is mostly Indian as is almost everything else in Kunyakumari, however they do serve toast with butter and jam, an omlettes with Indian coffee. You will not find better in this town. The restaurant is very good. It is always busy. Food is delicious and a bit pricey. We stayed here for 2800 rupees a night that included breakfast. Very good deal. They also give you a newspaper in English!
We stayed in this for 1 night. we had sea view room on 5th floor. It has excellent view where we can able to see sunrise from our bed itself. Vivekananda rock memorial boat terminal is at walkable distance. Breakfast was good. Food is okay as we had dinner here. Staff are good and helpful. Overall very good.
Pleasant stay. You must take the sea facing view room to see both the Thiruvalluvar Statue and Vivekananda Rock Memorial for the window. Place of taking ferry of this is just walking distance from the hotel. Do the Vivekananda rock memorial early in the morning as at time due to high tide the ferry rids shut down.
The hotel has major location advantage - most attraction, jetty in walking distance. The rooms are moderately furnished. Best is to ask for sea facing rooms. They have amazing view. You can see sunrise from your room only else you can go on the terrace and see the mesmerizing sunrise of Kanyakumari.
