I have stayed at during my travels. I reached Hotel Singar International on 1st July by 5 pm from Rameswaram after a 6-7 hours journey along with my parents. None of us had Lunch as we wanted to go to the hotel and relax. But, unfortunately we landed at the worst hotel. From 5 pm to 7 pm me and my parents went floor to floor in the hotel in search of a room without a bathtub. My parents are elderly and we wanted a room without a bathtub as it's very slippery and dangerous for them to take a bath in the bathtub. The hotel staff were unaware which room had a bathtub and which did not. They took us to each floor 4th to 6th in search of a room without a tub. Then they said the lower category room doesn't have a bathtub but showed us a room without proper AC.  We were getting late to the Kanyakumari temple so rushed as it would close at 8 pm. I had to rush my elderly parents because of the hotel staff not knowing the room. We were back at the hotel by 10.30 pm. When asked for an extra bed , we were given only a mattress to sleep on the ground with no cot. We never sleep on the ground. So the hotel staff again searched everywhere till 1 am in search of an extra bed and then gave another room just to sleep and told us it's free of charge.  When we checked the bedsheets it had blood stains. Then again 1 to 2 hours were wasted to provide us with clean bedsheets . In the end the blankets were so sorry that we threw them on the ground and slept without blankets. My father had to sleep separately because of this confusion. Next day no hot water was coming into the bathroom. The hot water tap wasn't working. My parents took a bath in cold water. We again raised a complaint and left for sightseeing and returned back to the hotel at night 10 pm. The hotel staff shifted to a new room again by 12.30 am midnight. The next day - checkout out day, we came for checkout again confusion started. The reception person was telling us that they had billed for 2 rooms both nights even though they provided it to us due to a problem at their end. Again our time was wasted from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm as their reservation department person Santhi wasn't available till 2 pm. We had to leave for a different place. Our taxi was waiting all this while. As our confusion wasn't cleared, we came back again at 4 pm to talk to the reservation person and she mentioned that only 1 room occupancy has been sent to Goibibo, the whole day was wasted for checking this. Why was the reception informed well by Santi reservation staff. Food issue: 1 week before coming here I had spoken with a restaurant owner to prepare good vegetarian food as we don't even eat eggs. The food was not good at all. Complaint: Every day either for room change or AC issue or billing issue or blanket issue our time was wasted for 2-3 hours at midnight with my elderly parents getting tired. After all this the Hotel gave only Rs 1000 in return. For this return I had to chase almost 10 -15 days.

The hotel and its facilities are good. The receptionist - Jennifer is truly sincere and honest. She helped us to evade a scam! We checked in early morning and the receptionist - Syed Imran just gave us the keys and directed us to a room with a dysfunctional AC. After complaining repeatedly for 3 times, they changed the room but the behaviour of the receptionist Syed was very rude. The next morning we were disturbed by 8 am and asked to checkout or pay 1000/- Since it was early morning and it was an abrupt call to checkout we paid 1000/- The receptionist Syed asked us not to tell anyone about this transaction. We obliged. After 3 hours when the next receptionist - Jeniffer took charge we narrated the entire ordeal. She apologised and returned us 1000/- We were elated with the honesty and sincerity of Jennifer. I would request the managers to promote people like Jennifer and penalise people like Syed. Thanks

We were booked in this hotel only three days back by IRCTC in their temple tour. The hotel looks impressive from outside but the impression just ends there. Everything in the hotel is lousy. Skeleton staff ( the receptionist also serves you in the restaurant). Airconditioners not working, phones in the rooms are just show pieces, no hot water and worst food served. They blame every lapses to Corona. Why dont they wait till Corona ends than? Resyaurant is too far to reach from the rooms or reception.

This hotel is located not too far away from the Sunrise & Sunset Points at Kanyakumari. If you lazy to get up early in the morning & go to the Sunrise point, you can go their 7th Floor on the terrace & can have the same view of Sunrise. Breakfast was complementary in our package but we had more expectation in the variety & taste of the Breakfast. Bathroom was ok with good hot water facility powered by Solar panel. Lamp Shed could have been much cleaner Mr.Alok at the front office was helpful.

Even though I mentioned our check in and check out timings while booking online and got the confirmation, I have been charged for early check in. While check in it was mentioned for late checkout, but while checking out early, it was chaged as early check-in charges. No proper service, always behind money. Only one person controlled. No proper delegation of duties and responsibilities to the staff. Big drama and keep checking, and questioning again and again for the complmetary breakfast also.

The rooms are old, paint peeling off. The furniture unmaintained. There is no hot water in the shower and the breakfast is pathetic. The only good thing is view from the balcony. Many guests were complaining at the reception as nobody would answer calls.

As placed at a strategic location, it gets more tourists. Maintenance needs improvement. Water was dripping from the AC in the room. They were unable to manage the restaurant as it was overcrowded. Nobody to clean the tables and to refill the food items.
