We booked a room for two nights at this hotel knowing fully that it’s a no frills, no restaurant, but we are going to get a sea view room. We also knew that it’s in an excellent location at the heart of the prime attractions of Kanyakumari. Eventually we realized that the Bhagavathi Amman Temple or Goddess Kanyakumari temple, Sunrise point, Triveni Sangam, Vivekananda Rock memorial, Thiruvalluvar statue, and other tourist attractions and shopping areas are within walking distance. However, watching Vivekananda Rock memorial and Thiruvalluvar statue surrounded by the sea from our room window was a pleasant surprise.
Room is clean, decent with a large comfortable bed, reading table, TV, open wardrobe, dressing table, and sufficient number of charging points. Bathroom is clean with almost a new commode, wash basin, and individual geyser. They provide only one liter of water per day and mini soap and shampoo at the toilet. Bed linen, pillow covers, and towels are very clean. They maintain a highly secured and guarded parking space just opposite to the hotel.
Though the establishment has no restaurant, the Saravana restaurant opposite to the hotel is very neat and clean and serves very good reasonably priced food.
It is worth to be noted that they have problems with the lift and for most part of our stay we’d use stairs.

Nice property with good rooms. Walking distance to vivekananda rock memorial & thiruvalluvar statue Ferry counter. They don't have restaurants but you can find some good veg restaurants opposit to this property. Washrooms are very neat and clean.

I stayed in Hotel Samudra during August 2012. Rooms were fairly clean. The hotel staff were very courteous. The food in the restaurant opposite to the hotel was average, but I found excellent food just a few meters away near the main road. I never tried room service. Location is very convenient to visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Amman Temple. Not far from Railway station. In fact, I walked from station to the hotel as I had only a backpack. A good mid-range hotel for a holiday. Don't expect high-end facilities.

Hotel samudra very good budget hotel situated very near to sannthi Street kanyakumari. Very close to the market and sightseeing points. We had not booked this hotel earlier, booked it on the spot and i must say that the money worth spent. Rooms were clean with lovely views of sea specially the sunrise part from terricce. Also the trivvalular statue and vivekanand rock memorial clearly visible from hotel.Market and all the near by sightseeing spots are reachable with in 1to2 kms of walk. kanyakumari Mata temple is just 200 mt from hotel.There are numerous of food points near to this hotel and also a lot of shops to buy the stuffs. Overall it was a great stay.hotel sarvana is Infront of this.Its buggeted hotel and can suggest others to go for this.Also the staff was friendly and cooperative and suggest ideas for trip to other areas.👍👍👍

The best location in terms of nearness to Kanyakumari temple, ferry starting point to Vivekananda Rock memorial. Rooms are simple, clean, spacious, good housekeeping and wonderful view of Rock memorial nestled in sea. There is no restaurant in hotel but the Saravana Restaurant opposite to hotel more than make up for it. It’s a must try for dishes ranging from South Indian, punjabi curries, Chinese dishes. All just yum. Wonderful preparation.

One of the best lodging where we can see sunrise and sunset within the room. Great view of Swami Vivekananda Rock and the oceans. Very effective AC, clean toilets with individual geysers. Very helpful staff.
Note that there is no restaurant here. So one must go outside for food.
Excellent location very near to all places and shopping in the town. Loved it.

The location of this hotel is more than awesome. The rooms were very neat and clean with all facilities. Open the windows and you will feel like relaxing in titanic. Staff were also very nice. Best rooms with affordable prices. If you are going kanyakumari don't miss this hotel.

We had a pleasant stay at Beleza by the Beach, highly recommended. The property is beautiful and very well done, the rooms are spacious and well designed modern layouts.

Property right near the sea, very close to the temple and boat boarding point. My room was 504 with view to the Vivekananda and Thiruvalluvar rocks. Rooms are clean and large with clean bathroom. Sufficient parking opposite to the hotel. No restaurant in the hotel. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Definitely a value for money stay.

A terrible experience as I have been denied accommodation by Hotel Samudra on arriving at their reception around 2:30pm on 23/10/15 and also being rudely behaved by their staff.Seeing all reviews, I booked through online, received confirmation voucher from chobs.in also. Nothing worked as i feel it was rush everywhere due to puja destival and hotel people people selling rooms at abnormal high rates. I was with my family and it was height of harassment and embarrassing. I have to arrange my own accommodation, called Mr.Rajbardhana, person from Chobs, and told to refund back my advance. Will not ever recommended anybody to go for booking through CHOBS or personally to try for accommodation in Hotel Samudra.
