Amanzi is an experience!! It is a one of the best gateway to peace from hustle & bustle of Mumbai. I was traveling with my wife and 7month old kid. The room, the view, the food was splendid. Tip: take room 705 (premium delux villa) it has one of the best unrestricted views of Lake & mountains.

Spread across on 4 acres , Amanzi is totally magical .. in all aspects … the view , the food , the service and cleanliness is totally gold standard . As it is situated at 1800 feet above sea level , the weather is extremely pleasant , best place to escape from Mumbai heat. We had booked the deluxe villa , which has one of the best views , it’s covered by trees , but if you want the best view , then go for the Premium Deluxe Villa … perfect for a couple and gives you that Swiss wooden cottage vibes . As we were celebrating our anniversary , we had booked a private dinning at an additional cost . It was a wonderful experience and totally value for money . Can’t wait to return in monsoon season .

If you're looking to transport yourself to a totally different world just 1.5 hours away from Pune, look no further than Amanzi. This small boutique resort has extremely beautifully designed rooms with all the amenities. None of the rooms have televisions, which I loved because it allowed us to spend quality time with each other. They also have a spa, swimming pool, and a beautiful court where you can play basketball and badminton. We also experienced the trek to the nearby fort called Tikona. The best time to go is at 7 am, and it's a simple 2-hour trek. The views from the top are just unbelievable. If you like water sports, you can try boating on the lake. The highlight of our stay was paragliding, which is done by the company called Temple Pilots, located 2 kilometres away from Amanzi. I would recommend calling them in advance for reservations. The food was just awesome, and the service was top-class. The entire team was extremely courteous and always ready to help. Very poor food ..limited options.. one one to listen your problems.. Very high handed manager.. No gym, no play area.. one badminton court is there but not functional No entertainment, no TV in rooms, Avoid this hotel Many better options are available in Lonavala

Dear Bhavin, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay and providing your feedback. Real constructive criticism is meant to make you better and is well received when done on a personal basis, writing a review on a social platform without attempting to have a personal conversation face to face or even a phone call is not constructive in any way but just criticism. Please know that we would be happy to accept your call and listen to your feedback at any time. Your review sounds more like a vendetta than constructive feedback, where never even once did you approach any team member when you and your wife were having a wonderful time in the property. We would like to commend your excellent writing skills and we truly wish that your experience at Amanzi-The Boutique Resort could have inspired you to pen positive words like it has for hundreds of discerning and well travelled guests who appreciate peace & tranquility in the midst of nature, over the last 7 years. It is regrettable that you have chosen to attempt to dissuade future guests by presenting an inaccurate view instead. In the meantime allow us to shed some light on your points of concern. In terms of very poor food, you stayed with us for 2 nights and at each meal you were asked by your server Mr Rintu if you were happy with the food and were also asked if you would like any items of your choice to be prepared and each time your reply was that the food was good and you did not wish to opt for any other options. The manager is there all day and not once did you approach her to share any of your problems that you claim you had. If you had, then they probably would have been able to address your concerns. We do not understand when you say high handed. If you have not spoken to the manager even once during the stay then we fail to understand your opinion or would you be referring to the fact that at the time of check out you walked directly from your room to your car without going to complete your check out formalities. The staff politely requested you to please make your way to the checkout desk. That is the procedure, when you enter a resort you go to the check in desk complete the formalities and then go to your room. The same way when you checkout, once you vacate your room you go to the checkout desk, complete your check out formalities and then move to your car to leave the resort. We are sorry if that is an alien concept for you, but we just assume that guests are aware of check in and check out procedures. We have never falsely advertised nor claimed that we have a gym. The multipurpose outdoor court is absolutely functional and all the equipment is present there 24/7 so that guests may enjoy the facility. When you say not functional we are in a dilemma. It is a court where you have a net, a basketball, a volleyball, badminton rackets and shuttle cocks are placed. All it needs are people to come and use the equipment to play the sport. For guests who wish to enjoy outdoor activities, there is Tikona fort trekking, boating and paragliding just within a 20 minutes radius of the property. To enjoy these activities the guests would have to attempt to at least leave the resort premises. This is not a place where there are karaoke nights, rain dances or any other entertainment of that sort if that is what you are referring to. We are a peaceful and quiet place and people who love the peace and quiet, reading books, watching beautiful sunsets, playing indoor board games, enjoying a spa, are the guests who enjoy their stay here. We have never falsely advertised nor claimed that we have televisions here.In fact it is mentioned very clearly on our website. Not installing televisions is a conscious effort by the owners, who are extremely passionate and are more nature centric and they love the fact that like minded guests who also share their passion for nature choose to stay at the resort. We assume that a couple such as yourself spending their anniversary at the resort would love to spend their time of 48 hours bonding and having meaningful conversations, rather than being glued to the television. This resort should definitely be avoided by guests who like lots of noise, lots of public, dj nights, rain dances, game nights etc. We unfortunately are not the place for those guests as we will definitely fall short on their expectations of a holiday. As you rightly mentioned there indeed are dime a dozen places in Lonavala offering these activities as entertainment. Every person is entitled to a holiday of their choice & this can only be done if guests would really do the research on the properties that they book, especially if they have specific points they wish to tick off on their holiday list and not assume that the resort they have booked would be like every other place they may have booked in the past. As a unique boutique resort we try and put all the information on our website, but we can only put it out there, it is then the guests responsibility to at least take the time to read through the information provided and then make a decision to go ahead with the stay or not. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your opinions, unfortunately we were unable to fulfil your expectations but we sincerely wish you pleasant holidays in the future which meet and surpass your personal expectations. Amazing Place with a very good view of the valley and the lake. Tikona fort clearly visible from the property. Swimming Pool facing the valley is a fabulous experience specially during sunset. The staff is very helpful and the food is nice.

Amanzi is a serene, peaceful place with kind and welcoming staff. The rooftop pool and the view from the glass house was amazing. However, the food was extremely disappointing and could be rated as simply ‘average’. With the room tariff of the glass house, we had expected better food and service standards. The door knob for one of the rooms simply came off when trying to unlock the room. There was no wi fi in the resort and network was poor. It is good for a detox from electronics and the internet. Overall a decent stay but the way the resort is marketed online , we had higher expectations from the food and overall quality of the villa. Nothing much to do beyond a one night stay.

Food is such a personal choice, where majority of our guests rave about our food and share their absolute pleasure, we are unable to satisfy all our guests such as yourself. We truly are sorry that we did not meet your expectation regarding the same. Amanzi is a resort where guests come to relax and unwind, rightly said by you "It is good for a detox from electronics and the internet",however we are not cut off, your own network 3G,4G works very well here. The amenities we have in the resort - a lovely library with a wonderful collection of books, swimming pool,board games, outdoor multipurpose court to play volleyball/basketball/badminton and spa services. Just within a close 20 minutes radius of the resort guests can go for trekking, boating, paragliding & visit caves. It really depends on how one wishes to spend their stay while visiting Amanzi. You can either relax and do absolutely nothing or if one is an outdoorsy person then they can step outside and enjoy the activities. I had a wonderful stay at Amanzi Resort. Had visited this property for our Anniversary celebration. It is a perfect getaway from the city. The staff is extremely helpful, hospitable and go all out to ensure that our stay was comfortable and memorable. We stayed in the Luxury Suite with a private plunge pool. The room is high quality and very clean. This room offers a very luxurious yet cozy feel. Very spacious. All meals are included in their package. Food was great. Total value for money. To make our experience even more special we opted for Private Dining and the dining room was so well decorated with balloons and flowers on the ceiling. They also served a cake after dinner. This added so much delight to our day. Totally recommend the Private Dining option. Overall loved the location, room, staff and everything this place has to offer. A must visit property.…

If you want to get away from Mumbai’s heat, there is no better place than Amanzi!!! We had booked a room called the Cocoon. It is truly a unique designed structure and in reality it looks much better than the pictures on the website . The resort is very Eco friendly. We met the owners ( very passionate ) and they described how the resort has been constructed and also most of the vegetables are sourced right from their garden. If you want a detox from all the gadgets in the world, this is a perfect place. They have an amazing collection of books, which is from the owners personal collection. The food is just amazing. Being vegan and a health freak, they went over and beyond to cater to our requirement. A big thanks to Manoj who was handling our table. The highlight was the swimming pool and mesmerising and serene views and the weather was just awesome Just loved the stay overall. If you have to spend a quality weekend , look no further than Amanzi. just 2.5 hours drive away from Mumbai , its the most gorgeous place we have stayed till date . We had booked the Luxury Suite , tastefully decorated which has its own private pool . This room gives you privacy and has forest view . It’s perfect for a family of 4 adults as it has 2 spacious bedroom and bathroom . All the meals are part of your package and it’s totally worth it. Food - one of the best we had in years, huge variety too ! Booking process was super smooth , right from Rahul in reservation to Ayesha at check-in , everyone one was super helpful . The minute you enter Amanzi, you are totally transported into a different world. The vibes and the ambiance is totally therapeutic. We stayed for 3 nights in garden villa and were totally rejuvenated without actually doing nothing besides eating delicious food and experiencing amazing spa, on the last day we did trek at the near-by fort called Tikona … the views from the top were just out-of-the-world. With all meals included it’s totally value for money .
