Had a wonderful time out there for 2 days and the was made more comfortable by Mr Kashinath(owner) with a very warm welcome and a very fantastic food. Stay was very memorable with couple of sight seeing and bird watching. The river view was too good and my kid enjoyed the play there. Overall ..a big thumbs-up 👍
If you are nature lover you should consider staying here once. We group of 9 reached this homestay late night and dead tired after our Kumara Parvatha trek. We were treated with hot water, cosy rooms and delicious home cooked dinner served by the host himself on a plantain leaf. The stream next to the rooms sung lullaby through the night and accompanied by birds to wake us up in the morning. We could go round the areca nut plantation and see the workers in action. Got lot of information about the crop, labour, market etc from Mr. Kasinath during breakfast. idly made in banana leaf, a local specialty was served along with other items. We spent rest of our time till lunch in the stream and ended our stay with nice hot lunch before heading back to Bangalore.
One of the best homestay near Dharmasthala. Location : 25 KM (30 Mins By Car), Road quality is very good. Property : The BEST, surrounded by river and areca nut garden. Amazing view.. Kids will enjoy the fishes in the river close by. Management : Very professional, friendly and assistive. Staff : Kind and cooperative. Food : Amazing home cooked food served in banana leaves was of really good. Wholeheartedly recommend for everyone to experience the stay in "Stream Of Joy". Thanks to Stream Of Joy.
I had been to this place with my sister's family and other 2 families. We stayed here for 3 days and I feel it wasn't enough because of the wonderful view, Kapila river flows right next to the rooms, super calm environment, hospitality they offer, yummy veg food they serve everything just feels right. In fact, there were all the stuffs I love.. like doggies, cat, cows, the swing, the river, good food, good stay and what more could I ask for! I just love this place and already waiting for the next visit!
We stayed at Stream of Joy for the weekend in Feb and I must say that this is an awesome private place to spend your time with family and friends. Mr Kashinath is very friendly and humble host. Very delicious pure vegetarian food was served. The main attraction here is the beautiful clean stream of water flowing gently by the cottages which is soothing for the mind. You can spend a whole lot of time by the stream. Just peaceful 😇
2 days stay at stream of Joy was a perfect delight ,away from the hustle to a calm peaceful ,totally private homely stay. I would like to give all the credits to Mr Kashinath and his wife Mrs Kanchana for managing the place very well and great hospitality. This place is ideal for kids especially , there is so much of learning from the nature , which we often miss from a busy town. First event we enjoyed the walk around the Kapila river having great rock formation ,this claimed to be almost 10k years old. Next day we spent morning nature walk trying to figure out various kinds of birds.Bird watchers would love this place.Later half of the day we spent at the cottage next to shallow stream and a nice raft you can row. Then we went to fish feeding activity where kids enjoyed feeding 1000s of holy fishes a sack full of puffed rice.Went to couple of temples near by including Dharmasthala. Through out our stay each meal , each dish was extremely yummy and we enjoyed the variety. The place is worth the amount and is a must especially with kids.…
Visited couple of months back. It was a very nice place. Rooms are adequate and well maintained. Food is awesome. Right next to stream where you can spend most of the day. Morning walks with Mr. Kashinath will get you to see many birds.
We stayed for 3 nights at "Stream of Joy" and still felt it was a short stay due to the amazing hospitality we received and food that gave immense pleasure to our taste buds. The owner of the property, Mr. Kashinath, does personally greet every guests upon their arrival and takes all measures to make their stay comfortable and memorable. There are two attendants at the property who are just a call away always. The rooms are basic but very well maintained and immense importance is given to cleanliness. If you are looking for a 5-star room with AC, then this is not for you. But, if you looking to stay in middle of an amazing location enjoy the chirping of birds, stay from the social media and rediscover yourself, then this is the place for you. The activities are limited but they are good. you can opt to go for bird watching, enjoy rafting or just chill out at the artificial waterfall at the property. we did go for bird watching on all three mornings and were really lucky to spot some of local birds which are rare to spot in the city's chaotic life. Mr. Kashinath takes lots of interest in explaining about the birds and it is really wonderful to watch the birds reciprocate to this whistle. you can also plan to visit near by attractions like shishila, where you can feed the fishes and plan to visit south arka Ganapathi temple you might find quite a few insects at the property but they seem to be innocuous. Review will be incomplete if there are no words on the delicious food that was served. Breakfast was simple but tasty and it is mostly of local cuisine. Lunch spread is very good and the food is served on banyan leaves. again, the menu is mostly of local cuisine. if you visit the property during mango season, you will taste some delicious mangoes and variety of mango dishes. All three meals are pure veg and this place is a treat for vegetarian folks. Food is prepared fresh everyday by Mr. Kashinath's wife and she is a great cook. Best time to visit this place will be during monsoon and winter seasons. Summers can be bit harsh here but the waterfalls can make that cool for you. again, if you like to take a break from chaotic city life and like to spend some peaceful time in nature's lap, this is the place for you.…
The host showed good hospitality, and he was knowledgable. the farm tour and bird watching was good. We found lot of birds and enjoyed the bird songs, particularly the bird, who woke us up with his whistle song. The stream was really the stream of joy. We enjoyed the bamboo raft ride. The best of all was the cave exploration. Enjoyed Yummy veg home food. The visit to sishileswar temple, where we did fish feeding and leaf plate factory visit, dharmasthala vintage car museum and art museum visit are the top up. Made lot of memories and awesome experiences with #f5escapes
We had been on a temple hop trip in Dec'2018 and this was our last halt. It was really worth it. City breds like us felt so good spending quality time with family amidst woods and a beautiful stream nearby. If you ever visit Dharmasthala just spend a day here to relax and go. I'm sure you and your family would love it. And Kashinath uncle is a great host and aunty is a great cook. we got to try some new delicacies and it is homemade with care and not just for business. It is a homestay. Check for the best route to the place with uncle before you head Cottages are simple and neat, you will get a feel by the woods. My daughter enjoyed the fish feeding and bird watching nature walk. Pls note there is no wifi /signal in this place except for bsnl. Inform your folks prior. :) Best time to visit is mostly december Jan as mostly this town is slightly humid in general.…
