Kalappura homestay is situated in a peaceful & silent locality in Alleppey Town which is 200m away from the canal side. Also the Homestay is around 5 mins walk from KSRTC bus station and the ferry/boating area and 5 mins walk to the busy city center & market as well. Ours is a wonderful homestay with all the facilities what you get in your house.Its a Home away from Home.

Clean homestay, with staff that really go out of their way for you. One of the best things about this homestay is that it’s completely mosquito proof. Also, the hot water worked without any problems which was not the case for the other homestays I stayed in in Kerala. Delicious keralan food is served on request for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Jose has a houseboat so can arrange tours of the backwaters. It’s also well located - not too far from the main city but the homestay itself is nice and quiet.

The stay at Mr Jose's place was amazing. The location and the home is lovely. The food was authentic kerala homely food. The talks we had with Mr Jose were interesting. We had really good time at the stay. Would recommend this to everyone visiting Alleppey. Backyard, garden and property is scenic. Great vibe. Highly recommended.

It was lovely staying here, felt homely at kallappura homestay . The owner was very helpful with the iternary,food ,house boat everything .Food provided by him was amazing (home cooked Kerala local cuisine),Being a vegetarian it was heaven for me . Rooms were spacious and worth the price.

Such an amazing Homestay that really feels like you're being welcomed into not just their home, but your home whilst you're here, Jose and his family are so lovely and it's the best nights sleep I've had in MONTHS in a hotel/guesthouse, the beds are so comfy. The food, the service, everything is absolutely top notch, would highly recommend staying here if you come to Alleppey. Jose can also organise a boat trip for you down the backwaters, which is beautiful!

No RO water, No mirror to see your face if we ask he says mirror is already one in bathroom... Fully money minded! I would just to see the hotels near to collectorate location. For fresh up also he was asking me 500rs.

We had a pleasant stay at Kalappura Homestay. We went during the off-season (April), and it was great value for money. The rooms were spacious, and the bathrooms were clean. Jose was a fantastic host and a knowledgeable local guide. He was always available to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The highlight of our stay was the sumptuous dinner with an elaborate spread. Additionally, Jose has his houseboat, and he organized a backwater ride for us with breakfast. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a worry-free homestay experience.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights in April. Our host Jose was fantastic - from helping us book a kayaking tour, to chatting through the hewt of the afternoon, to information and driving us to the bus station on our final morning and ensuring we got on the right bus, he was brilliant. The setting is a short walk to the center of town, but is wonderfully peaceful. Our room was comfortable, clean and the aircon was powerful (which was very needed in April!). Oh and the food was delicous! Thanks Jose!

Really lovely, clean rooms close to the backwaters and excellent service. The host is incredibly helpful and speaks perfect English. We went on a houseboat trip for the day which was an amazing experience. The food was great and the captain and chef were lovely. Would really recommend, they are extremely helpful and accomodating

I highly recommend Kalappura Homestay. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay there. Jose and Rooney (his brother) are very nice, welcoming and helpful. Your well-being is their top priority and they are going to do everything possible to make you feel at home. You just need to let them know if there is any sort of issue and they will solve it within a short time. They also genuinely dispose an electric racket for mosquitoes which is awesome. The house is well placed (nice short walk to several restaurants) and very quiet at night. They propose a lot of activities like kayaking, houseboat (Jose has is own company and propose really good price), canoeing ect… Jose also helped us getting our bus to Munnar, drove us there and made sure we got into the right bus. If we come back to Allepey we will go back there 100%! …

The highlight of the stay was the warmth and kindness extended by the host Jose and his family and also Robin and Rodrick. His kids Annie, Angel and the cute little Andrew were a delight to meet. The rooms are spacious, clean, fitted with mosquito nets. The house is surprisingly cool. We stayed there towards the end of Feb yet we didn't need the a/c. Food is authentic Kerala food which is delicious and the quantity sumptuous. Jose is very resourceful and could arrange almost everything that we needed for sightseeing. Thank you Jose and your family and team for making our stay comfortable and hassle free.
