Detailed Reviews
we stayed there for one day and one night.
The hotel setting as such was excellent and tastefully done. We had a villa right on the beach. The rooms were really big especially the toilet and extremely clean. Outside were hammocks to relax as well as family swings ( the type you would find in old kerala ancestral homes. The real great part was that it was just a few steps to the beach. you have a beautiful beach very nearby.
Also the food in the hotel is tasty, and much not expensive . Staff are very friendly and always around if you need them...

We absolutely loved this place, a cozy experience full of hospitality. Rooms are clean and well maintained, the staff is very accommodating. We had a room on 1st floor, giving an ocean view and overlooking the patio, with palms and flowers.Deserted and calm. It is absolutely secure. Home cooked breakfasts are offered, also one can enjoy typical Kerala plates in the menu. The best part is hospitality! The place is managed by a good young team, nice people, very friendly and helpful. They can arrange mostly everything, following your demand. We had private excursions and a professional massage in a trusted ayurvedic center.
Fully recommended!

I think the most frustrating thing with this hotel is that it is nearly a fantastic place but falls short of the mark.
Firstly the good thing: The rooms, set in little bungalows, were very pleasant. They had a porch for sitting & reading and a little outside bathroom (don't worry, it had walls around it so there's no privacy issue) which I thought was a nice quirky touch. You are right on the beach and you can walk along the coast to Alleppey beach (about 30-40mins) if you want to find things to do.
The food was good once we'd got used to the system. They give you a big menu, unfortunately most of the dishes they couldn't produce in house so would send off to a local restaurant, this meant that the food was only lukewarm once it arrived on your plate. The trick, we discovered, was to ask them what they could prepare themselves and just order that (you also had to give them plenty of notice, best to order lunch just after breakfast), that way you ended up with very nice local dishes. However it was slightly irritating that we had to work this out for ourselves.
The outdoors area could do with a bit of a tidy up, in terms of gardening, too. However the place was the cheapest on my trip so it was good value.

The good part - it’s literally on the beach.
The bad part - where we feel we got cheated - This is not really a resort rather a beach shack. The rooms are shoddy and damp, bedsheets are soiled and toilets are broken with water shortage every 2 hours. The pics that they put are misleading. Also in house dining is missing. They’re not even worth a single star.

We (three families) had booked three beach view rooms in this resort and had paid the full money two months in advance. When we reached there on 26th morning, they told us they will accommodate us in another resort. During the discussion we found out they got some foreign tourist and had let out or rooms for quick money. Sine we were travelling with kids we had no choice. They arranged for a homestay near marari beach which was neither on the beach nor a resort. So please be careful of these cheats they may dump you at the last moment. I am following it up with an official complain of cheating with the tourist police head quarters ta Kochi.

one of the worst hotel of my trip. the rooms booked was beach view AC room. but we were alloted some different room. bcoz our room was given to some one else for 3 days. .. than biggest blunder was tht it was hot and humid there and no AC was working.. i had to change 3 rooms. but in all room AC was not working.. they didnt had power back up... finally i had to tell home people change the hotel any how.. then after that they shifted me to some other hotel.. ..
this was not even 1 star category hotel.. hopeless hotel !!!!!!!

It was very nice experience at this resort. The staff assisted us very nice and all the tours operated in a very decent way by the management. Good quality food served.
yea..its nice experience...i never seen such kind of atmosphere ...that much we enjoyed..its very calm nd quite area.only the noise from lovely sea..thats very nice feeling we have...the management was so excellent.all staffs are very passionate to us.they treat like very friendly...the rate of food was affordable. We stayed one night here . We arrived late, after a 10 hour car journey, after the restaurant closed but they still spent a hour cooking us food and we were very grateful. Although there are no other food options nearby or shops.

There is nothing good. Rooms are poor and smell bad. Food is extremely expansive and served cold. You have no other option nearby. When I arrived on the spot, I realized the actual name of the so called resort is something different. The use Pozhiyoram Beach Resort name only to trap you online. Online portals should stop booking these type hotels.
