Property is good but we, as a family, had a bad experience of stay there. The service was not good, staff had lackluster attitude about service as a whole. Finally, the food service was horrible with very long wait for your orders. Better keep some food handy so that you can have them until you see your orders come on table. There is ONLY ONE cook and I pity that man (surely he will go to heaven for all his sufferings in kitchen). If you expect complimentary breakfast, which is default in almost all good hotels especially in almost all resorts these days, it is better you confirm it BEFORE booking you stay there. Our rooms were charged Rs 3200 plus dinner extra and for breakfast Rs. 2500 odd and items included, bread toast, few butter, 2 omlets, few idlis, 3-4 plates of puri

Visited with my family-3 nos. (wife & Daughter), in the month of March'2017.Stayed for 2 days. Palmgrove Lake Resort located on the banks of Back water/ River, we can watch different types of Boats moving at every minute from your room/or from the Restaurant. It's a treat to watch. Coming to the Resort, I recommend 100% marks for its location, the way they maintained both the rooms and premises. secured place. I have to tell about the Restaurant, being Hyderabadi(belongs to Andhra), we are really bothered about the kerala food (coconut oil and raw rice), but we really surprised with the taste of food in their restaurant was top class. I selected this resort after a no. of reviews from tripadviser. Now onwards, i can recommend this resort for my friends and relatives for their

Resort is adjacent to backwaters and the surroundings make it serene and beautiful. Located at a little distance from city ,so quiet and peaceful place to stay. Premium rooms are clean and spacious. Decent cooperative staff. Restaurant has limited options but food is tasty and served with best efforts by chef. Resort people arrange houseboats and shikara rides also. Overall a decent place to stay with family and friends. NB: Bathrooms are not closed by for walls like usual hotels. Many people like that open air concept.

I stayed here for a night . The resort provides good basic accommodation ,but by no means is it a luxury resort. Pros 1. Friendly staff 2. Clean rooms , everything was functional didn't face any problems. 3. Decent breakfast options 4. Good river views from the property , especially the dining area. Cons 1. Doesn't have a full functional restaurant , need to place order in advance , they procure and then cook. 2. Landscaping is in a bad shape , needs a lot of improvement. 3. Not sure if there are other facilities available , especially for kids Good place to stay , if luxury is not on your mind.

Room was comfortable with good facilities. Restaurant had limited food options, but in a lovely setting. The gardens are still developing and seemed a little bare. It's a little way out of Alapphuza, but helpful manager organised Tuk Tuks. Option for environmentally friendly punted boat.

The resort is located adjacent to the backwaters and you can view the houseboats and sikaras passing all the time. Adjacent to the resort, you can also see how boats are made. The location is ~3-4kms from Ramada, but is worth a stay. The bathrooms are of innovative make with one closed roof and one open roof for the deluxe rooms. The surroundings are really serene away from the hustle bustle of the town. The resort needs to improve some more on the side of recreational activities since none of them is present currently. The manager of the resort also helps in arranging boat rides and ayurvedic massage if required.

Stayed here in Feb17 and liked the overall experience. Pros: Next to the canal. So in case you are looking for Sikara boat then you can get the pickup from resort itself. Staff is cooperative and prompt Mr Viswajeet who is manager here is very helpful. He helped to find Cab, Auto and Sikara for sightseeing. Liked the breakfast. Decent options and good taste. Had lunch and dinner too. Went with Southindian curries which chef was good at and liked it. Room was clean and toilet had round the clock supply of hot water. Found it better than staying at any hotel in mid Alappuzha city. Cons: Not as beautiful as it appears in photo. Still Ok. They can have some options for kids to play, like some swings or slides. Little far from main road but I guess most of the lake resorts are

At Palm Grove Resort we had an excellent stay . its a small cozy property facing the famous back waters of alappuzha. ideal both for couples and families. coming to rooms the deluxe rooms are decent in size very clean. with double bathrooms (one open garden shower and a bathroom) though even the bathrooms doesn't have a door its just a curtain that they have separating the open garden shower and the bathroom. though the open garden shower serves you only cold water.yes the bathrooms have hot water facility. The beds were comfortable. the problem was that they don't clean the room unless and until you inform them to do so and leave the keys behind for them to access the room in ur absence. coming to the food, we had only breakfast at there restaurant on both the days its very

What a treat it was to stay here, in this oasis of green. The staff is small, which means everyone knows you and wants to help you. The property is lovely, the cottages are charming, and planned additions (pool and basketball court) will be welcome. The hotel is committed to environmental awareness, and they have a growing garden that enables them to "farm-to-table" many items for the restaurant. The rest are locally sourced. The chef and sous chef are wonderful, and your meal will be made just for you. Everyone here cares that you are enjoying your stay. The manager, Vishwajith, is ever present and helps with booking backwater tours, getting you to the beach, and, most important, getting you to a spa. Consider doing day trips on a man-powered boat and not overnight on a

I first stayed at the Palmgrove Lake Resort in January of 2010 and had a wonderful time. I returned to Kerala this year for my winter holiday and made a point of booking rooms at Palmgrove during my time in Alleppey. I am happy to say that it is not only as good as it was in 2010 but has gotten better. The new bungalows near the entrance are lovely and enhance the look of the resort. Operations manager Vishwajith was so helpful to my friend and me. He coordinated auto rickshaw rides into town, to the beach, etc., and helped us book our ayurvedic massage treatments at the nearby Visrutha Ayurveda Center. Vishwajith was personable and took time to chat with us and make sure our stay was a comfortable one. One of the things I really admired was his environmental concern with
