Stayed with my family in a room large enough for 5 people which was ac. Room very clean, owners friendly but the best was their boat house. The only problem was that we could not book the boathouse online, and we had to pay advance for it. For overnight trip, it cost us rs.14,000, which we thought high compared to other boats we could book online. But we trust this place because of other reviews and after stay, we are fully satisfied.

Mr. Johnson was extremely friendly and helpful. The houseboat was lovely. Clean, peaceful, and well run. The meals were fantastic. Mr. Johnson can also arrange an evening canoe trip which is very beautiful as well, followed by a great meal at the house of the very sweet host.

I want to give a big thumbs up to Mr Johnson from Johnson’s Eco Houseboat. We had a planned trip to Alleppey for 28th to 29th March 2020. We had done advance booking for one night at Johnson’s Eco Houseboat and another night at his 2 bedroom deluxe houseboat. Through WhatsApp he had given us reasonable and good choices for our stay in Alleppey. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip to his hotel and his houseboat due to the corona virus problem. He was absolutely prompt in giving us full refund for the advance we paid without any questions. He is a man of word and trustworthy. We will be planning a stay at Johnson’s Eco Houseboat soon.

Johnson's houseboat is an amazing experience. The staff are very endearing, humble and friendly. The chef is amazing. He made us delicious Keralan food, traditionally served on a banana leaf. The privacy on the boat is great. There's a small upper deck with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the scenery. Less noise from the engine up there as well. This is a big advantage because from watching other houseboats, I learned that an upper deck is definitely not a standard. The bedroom is perfectly clean and there's a small bathroom too. The boat moors at night in a quiet village where we walked around and found an amazing spot to watch the sunset. This is also something special because a lot of boats moor in busy docks. I would highly recommend Johnson's houseboat for a backwaters tour. …

We stayed one night in Johnson's home stay, followed by one night on the Eco houseboat. I highly recommend this. Johnson gave us the best advice of places to go to in Alleppey and the Eco Houseboat was absolutely AMAZING. The staff were lovely and the food amazing! One of the most relaxing experiences, should have stayed 2 nights on the boat. Highly recommend letting Johnson organizing your time in Alleppey :)
