We had a fantastic experience at this Hotel. From the start, the check in staff were excellent and very professional (we checked in early and our room was ready to move in) and we were taken to the room by a lady with smiles and were followed by the bell boy with our bags. The bell boy politely declined to accept our tips. The room was neat and tidy, the sheets were near new and clean and the pillows were very nice and fluffy. The room had beautiful views of the pool and also the lake with so many house boats criss crossing which was delightful to watch. The bathroom was large enough for our use and was well maintained. The house keeping staff did a great job and the room smelt good. The couch was comfortable. We requested an extra bed which was already provided in the room and the house keeping boy came and arranged it for us. The Breakfast area was clean and tidy (we were one of the earliest to go there and all the dishes were fresh and tasty, especially the omelettes and fried eggs, freshly made dosais , idlys and chapathis with many nice side dishes. Freshly brewed coffee was a delight and the desserts were great (after dinner). All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located and shops were closeby. Supermarket is just a few kms away. The Essence Spa was great too. All 3 of us had amazing ayurvedic massages and access to sauna was great too. Check out was quick and easy as well. Thanks to all the staff there.

We actually had a Heartwarming experience at Ramada. The ambience was at its peak. We enjoyed a lot spending that night there. The buffet dinner was well arranged. I should thank both - Jishnu & Akhilesh for taking care of our interests right from receiving us to the dining table. They took care to serve at our table when needed, took keen interest in cleaning the tables at the right time and guided us through the various servings Ramada offers. Jishnu particularly offered my wife a complimentary gift - a brownie cake as she was celebrating her birthday that day (the reason we being there at Ramada at that time😉). It was not at all preplanned, hence it was all of a surprise for me and my family. I would recommend Ramada to my friends and family anytime☺️.

We were scheduled to go out on a houseboat for one night but when we arrived the houseboat was different than the pictures and reviews. They did not have what we had booked and it was over $200 for a room that smelled like exhaust and the whole encounter was cagey so we bailed. Then we saw the Ramada and decided to stay there. The front desk staff was very accommodating and gave us a nice room with a view of the river. The hotel is in a good location with a pool and a large restaurant on the main level. Unfortunately we had missed their daily river/canal cruise for the day. There is not much around, a few shops, the boats that are docked and the hotel.
Most of the patrons were Indians and a Japanese tour group. The hotel is not a 4 star hotel because most of the furniture/decor has rips and needs some love. Perhaps at one time it was nicely decorated but has fallen into some disrepair. I'm giving it 4 stars because the staff was so accommodating and made sure they gave us a nice room with a view after we told them about the houseboat experience.
We appreciate that they were there as we probably would have had to go back to Kochi that day and that would not have been fun.

I would not recommend this hotel based on my recent experience. I chose it because of my positive stays at Wyndham properties in the US, hoping my parents could enjoy a similar standard. Unfortunately, this particular Ramada did not meet expectations.
I booked a room with a lake view upgrade but was assigned room 223, which has been mentioned in other reviews for its issues. There was no hot water in the bathroom, and despite raising this concern, we were not offered an alternative room. The cleanliness and upkeep were disappointing—the bedsheets were visibly worn, and the toilet had an unpleasant odor. Room service was slow, taking 30 minutes just to deliver a bottle of water, and check-out was delayed due to a long wait for concierge assistance.
Adding to the frustration, we were given a mug that had been glued to repair a leak, which felt unprofessional and unsanitary. This experience was disappointing and impacted the overall enjoyment of my trip. Based on this stay, I would urge Wyndham to maintain more consistent quality standards across their properties, as I for one will probably never again visit Ramada ever again.

Ordinary Room alloted. As I booked via MMT package I got better rooms compared to Ramada by wadhwan Room 615 door Knob was not functional Ac was not working properly We were asked to Shift after 9 PM So just a feedback kindly check door knobs Ac and rest few things And kindly provide rooms as per standards of package.

I was regretting my decision as soon as I took my 1st step inside the hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in India and abroad. Ramada Alleppey is without doubt the most hideous hotel we have ever stayed. The decor is loud and of cheap quality. Whoever did the interiors must not have finished a proper school where they lack basic ideas of aesthetics. Even in the lift the video playing in loop is cheesy and not something I would relate to a brand like Ramada. The entire property seems to be falling over due to lack of proper maintenance. Only plus with this property is its location, view of the lake and decent service. Personally this was my 1st stay in a Ramada property and for sure I will think 100 times before I ever stay in a Ramada property.
Dirty outdated bathroom fittings, floor, towels. Had to request additional cleaning but that didn't help a lot as the floors and fittings are stained due to years of poor maintenance. Creaking floor with very cheap quality flooring. The walls of the room were hideous, with un-matching glossy laminates lacking finesse, extremely poor quality furnitures, creaking bed, even the eyehole in the door was not matching with the next room. It was a mistake to book this hotel. Whoever did the interiors of this hotel has never been to a design school as they lack the basics. If you really care about your hard earned money and appreciate aesthetics then please stay away from this hotel.

Nice hotel at good location, ample parking space, just on. the backwater front, Easy to reach with good roads around. It have a huge lobby and good reception with multiple frontdesk counter. The checkin was smooth Old model lift takes time to even 2nd floor. The room size is okay, bathroom is big, however both need mordanization. View from the room was good, big pool view and backwater view together. They have a very good pool clean and clear. Table tennis, Billiards, basket ball, speed boat, and other options to spend good time here. They also provide short tour of the backwater and lake by their house boat and speed boat we can discuss the charges at the front desk for the same. They have gym and spa at 9th floor. I didn't use them so not sure of the quality. however the lift that goes to the spa is really really slow. The best part of the hotel is its restaurat, vast, clean, and lots of food options, staff too is good.

The place is a little older than the pro pictures show - nothing too unexpected for an older property.
Our room was ok. Bed had a cheaper mattress than usual, but the pillows were nice. The sheets passed the test of not smelling like they had been stored near the kitchen.
The TV had a bunch of channels but with reduced sections of satellite stations due to not having the better package. Discovery and Nat Geo worked, as did BBC world news.
The pool is nice compared to the overall building.
The hotel lost power a few times; once when in the lift. It was only for 30s.
WiFi works well but fails sometimes.
Food in the Chinese bar restaurant was very nice with very large portions. Beers expensive.
Breakfast a pretty standard mix but with a very nice omelette.

With the exception of one member (Mr Shebin the restaurant manager) we found the remainder of the staff very friendly and extremely helpful.
On Tuesday evening 25 February myself and my partner went into the restaurant and asked the manager for the menu after waiting for approximately 10 minutes we asked another member of staff who brought it to us. Again we waited for 10 to 15 minutes and no waiter came so I went to the desk and spoke to a waiter and told them I was unhappy with the service and that we were being ignored. I had even tried to attract the manager's attention but he just disappeared. There was only one other person having a meal at the time so there was no excuse for such bad service.
I spoke to the front of the house and asked to speak to the duty manager and was asked what the problem was.
I gave the young man details and he asked for our room number but no-one got back to us. This was bad. The hotel was comfortable, the food was very good and following this incident staff service was excellent.
Mrs. Parvati from Travel Desk was very polite and helpful.
Ayurvedic massage was a waste of money.

I stayed here with my family in August 2022. Over looking Punnamada lake, located at Nehru Trophy Boat Race finishing point, 5 km from Allappey railway station, it is a an ideal place to stay with family while in Alleppey. Taxy cabs charge about rupees six hundred from railway station to hotel. Hotel also picks up and drops for same charges. You may get an Uber ride at about rupees four hundred but will have to board from outside the station as taxy operators would not allow Uber to take passengers from station. The rooms are spacious, neat and well kept. All amenities that one expects in a luxurious hotel are there. Bath towels and bed linen are fresh and stain free. Plenty of storage space available. The rooms offer very senic view of Punnamada lake with numerous House boats and Shikkaras floating around. Entire staff from reception to cleaning staff are well behaved. Restaurant is huge and spacious. Buffet breakfast is awesome, with plenty of Indian and continental items to choose. Restaurant staff are courteous. Tariff is very economical for a star property like this. The only negative to mention is that Wifi connection is very poor in the room. Hotel has a travel desk that arranges local sight seeing and backwater rides. Mr. Subeesh one of their drivers worth special mention here for his very courteous and helping nature.
We had excellant stay here. Would not hesitate to choose this hotel again in our future trips.

Ramada have their own house boats. Book according to your choice timings asking the information kiosk. A lot of auto rickshaws are available outside Ramada Alleppey near the market. Ask them for to and fro or book a cab from Ramada if you want to explore interiors of Alleppey .
Not all lake facing rooms have balconies. Only the Royal suite rooms have balconies. However, there are huge windows in other rooms which overlook the lake. Regarding restaurants, you can find good restaurants nearby. You can lookup on Zomato. However, they might not be within walking distance.
There are more places to choose from in the Alappuzha area.
