My husband and I have first time Ayurveda treatment in our life and we picked this place throughout the one of our best friends we were not sure how long we can stay in the resort but we decided to stay just one week. From the time we arrived until the last minute we left the resort we were treated exclusively. Even thought we are not a vegan even not a vegetarian, and not to familiar with Indian cuisine my husband and I enjoyed the meals a lot. Every meal was prepared based on our body system which was measured by the doctors the day we arrived or whatever we need for detox. Outstanding massage therapists especially the one her name is Sijita who was excellent and the rest Athira and Suruthi. The amazing part was between meals and massages we found a lot of great relaxing activities at the resort. Yoga, mediation, dance or music performances. Bottom line is being in India first time, having this experience is unforgettable. Thank you Amal Tamara providing a word class service and make everyone not only healthier but also happier. …

We stayed for a week at Amal Tamara for a rejuvenating Ayurvedic experience. It was a surreal experience, way beyond our expectations. Amal Tamara is a cosy 19 room property, with a widespanning soothing backwater view from anywhere. The staff is like a closely knit family, full of warmth and care, making you feel at home right from your arrival. It would be unfair on our part to name out any particular team member, as each one excelled in their roles - so a loud shout out to the entire team! Everything was personalised and customised to our specific requirements, and every request of ours was meticulously catered to. The daily doctor consultations, Ayurvedic treatments, food menu, meditation and yoga sessions, cultural engagements like music and dance performances - each one of them was tailor made for us. We stayed at Amal Tamara for a week to have ayurvedic treatments honestly it's not just a place where we can get the massages only beyond that the food , environment over here , Yoga and meditation, group and personalised activities was amazing. I think the staff at Amal makes the stay memorable,they are so obliging and welcoming all the time

What a beautiful and healthy experience. I was staying for 15 days for a Pancha Karma treatment (- my very first -) and enjoyed my daily routine of yoga, treatments, consultations, excellent food, meditation and cultural and ayurvedic education being delivered by the most friendly and kind people, always caring and going the extra service mile with a smile. The rooms and facilies are beautiful, spotless and up to western standards facing the lake and being exposed to an orchstra of birds singing. I felt energized just a few days after arrival and very much at peace at Amal Tamara and I definitely plan to return.

We spent two weeks at Amal Tamara following a recommendation by an Ayurveda Doctor. From the moment we arrived inside the resort we felt the calming effect of this place. The bedrooms and housekeeping service are on par with any four star Western Hotel and the common areas are all very clean and well maintained. Following an initial consultation with the doctor we received two treatments per day. A one hour massage in the mornings and a 30 minute treatment each afternoon. In addition we attended yoga every morning at 6.30am plus a meditation session every afternoon at 6.00pm. There were also additional private stretching and singing bowl classes provided by the resident team. The food provided the greatest joy and education. Every person had a bespoke meal provided at breakfast, lunch and dinner based on their dosha type and their health goals. It was educational to realise that our normal portion sizes are too large. We were never hungry between meals and became lighter as each day passed, ultimately shedding seven kilos of weight between the two of us over our two week stay. Impressive as we were not overweight to start with ! We never felt we were dieting and were amazed at the impact the food and treatments had on our bodies. Will we return ? I think yes, most certainly. Having stayed at two similar venues in the past, Amal Tamara provides so much more. Personally, my mind became clearer and calmer and I am now much more tolerant of the world than before I came to this place. Well done team Amal Tamara. Your first thought when you arrive is how lush and stunning the property is and you are already enveloped in a bubble of awe, the best has to come, the welcome on behalf of the staff with their smiles and discrete manners envelope you in an aura of mystical healing: you know you are in the right place and embrace your choice. Ayurveda is medicine it is a healing journey and at Amal, every minute of the day is dedicated to healing you, with the true secrets of Ayurveda. and chosen activities and above will with their medical expertise, you are handheld, buffed, and entertained with a wide choice of cultural evenings but you are also walking down a path of well-being with excellent doctors that have the expertise to find every grain in you that needs to heal. You do not choose Amal : Amal chooses you and this is something you need to remember as places like this are very rare and unique. Ayurveda is very looked for today for her magical way of making you ground yourself, I suggest you walk hand in hand with the experts and discover the elixir of well-being. At Amal, I found a very simple and honest way of introducing you to the treatments, with immense expertise and focus on behalf of the medical team. Amal is small by choice: you are receiving perfect attention and time just flows in a haze of wellness, beauty and love. The Amal Tamara experience was excellent in every sense. Most outstanding of all was the love that contextualises every action taken by each member of the team from the wonderful doctors all the way to the gentle people who clean and service the rooms. In just two weeks, the Ayurvedic consultations and treatments helped me heal a digestive issue that had been worrying me for 5 months AND I managed to drop 4 kilo's while eating superb food. What a complete treat for body and soul - I would come back in a heart beat.

A journey of healing...🤗 AmalTamara ... Ayurveda Retreat Centre (Alleppey) A perfect symphony of traditional ayurvedic concepts and modern luxury . A true healing experience for body,mind and soul. AmalTamara was 'Home' away from 'home' for us. Such warmth and care from each staff member....right from the Doctors..the therapists...the chef and kitchen crew... reception... housekeeping.... The whole staff at Amal Tamara is so warm and friendly. The food is healthy without sacrificing taste. The front desk goes out of it’s way to create personalized, memorable experiences. Dr Ajitha is wise, patient, and warm. And my therapists all week, Nikhil and Amal, couldnt have been more attentive and caring. Hope to visit again.

Wow, what an amazing true authentic ayurvedic experience. The level of professional service, the friendliness and welcoming care given at Amal Tamara is out if this world. We felt truly taken care of and pampered by every single staff. The food was prepared individually by an authentic ayurvedic master chef. Thanks to Vishnu, who we had contact with for the past months, our whole experience has been a well rounded smooth and healing journey. We recommend him highly as an entry point into this fabulous establishment. We will be back again in April 2023 for some more healing and pampering.
