We booked this at the last minute as our other accommodation fell through, and we were very pleasantly surprised. You need to travel by boat from the “reception” area to the actual accommodation across the river which was very fun and different. The grounds were very nice and quant and there were tables and chairs to sit and watch the boats go by. The room itself was a little shabby, but reasonable for the price. The South Indian breakfast was generous and tasty. It might be helpful to put a sign at the reception area letting guests know that they need to call the manager to be taken across to the accommodation (we were very confused when we arrived).
Wonderful resort, great hospitality, good food, courteous staff, very obedient and always ready to serve. Vimal supervisor was very courteous and friendly. The resort chef cooks good quality food. Cleanliness is also very good. However, the backwater channel approaching the resort needs cleaning by the concerned authorities as it is full of water weeds and plastic wastes from the houseboats. Overall very pleasant and comfortable stay....
First and the foremost the name is very misleading. THIS IS NOT A RESORT. It is more like a small hotel or homestay. The property is very very small. The rooms are very small and the back water from the hotel is also not good.its like a cannal. I would suggest do not opt for this place. There are many other hotels or resort in alleypey which is actually a resort opt for those.
Hi, I stayed with my family we were 3 adults and 1 child age 2 yrs , the stay was comfi we wanted early check in and late check out so the manager team gracefully provided us that, just rooms are bit smaller in terms of size mostly fits 2 in a room but the management with thr attitude and never say no attitude will make your stay comfi
Alleppey is breathtaking ! Especially in Monsoons... it is indeed God's Own Country ! For people , who absolutely love the monsoons and want to visit Alleppey to enjoy both the sun and the rain, August is the perfect month. And if you are looking forward to experience the real backwaters of Alleppey, wake up amidst nature, enjoy sitting in the porch and sip coffee/tea or have breakfast, get some luck trying fishing, satiate your taste buds with authentic Kerala cuisine and experience extremely warm staff and their service to provide you the best they can to make your stay memorable ----- all within a pocket friendly budget , Bamboo lagoon should be your destination then ! The USP of this place is the location, view of backwaters, some of the dishes, which is cooked with love and finally warm and friendly staff to cater to every bit of your needs. In short - its absolutely worth the experience, if you are not expecting a 5 star level treatment :P Note: Just in case, you have not planned your day in Alleppey, ask the resort manager, and he will get it absolutely sorted , right the way you would want it to be , with all the required arrangements !…
It's not a resort but a beautiful property by the waterfront. The food options are limited and not exactly cheap, but are freshly made. The staff is courteous and very helpful. They arranged me a pre-sunrise kayak ride through the backwaters. Highly recommended. :)
It is a small sized room hotel with few limited food options and activities.the place is good and lovely to see the back water canal. The room was the most disappointing thing. It is ultra small just enough of a single person to walk inside. I highly doubt how this got too much rating and ranking that I believed and went to the hotel .
Although the resort is good, with excellent ambience, rooms are a bit small and costly. The food quality is good but costly. The staff is courteous. They also arranged shikara for us. The rooms are very compact and not worth.
I don't know if this qualify as a resort, property is very small and rooms are very congested. There's hardly any space to walk around in the bed room, 95% of the space is occupied by bed and one can hardly walk. Very neatly maintained property though. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food menu looked really jaw dropping on the costwise. Never expected such an expensive menu in such a small property. Food is really very homely one and tasted good, but that doesn't justify the price (a quarter plate of peanuts masala costs ₹180 pheww...😥😥). This resort (if you can call it a resort) is not on the lake (backwaters) but on the banks of punnamada river which is only 50 metres wide, you have to walk almost a kilometre to see the Vembanadu lake(backwaters).
If relaxation is on your agenda this is a great place to go. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. As much as watching the houseboats go by was entertaining, we really enjoyed the dragons boats training for the Nehru games. We took advantage of the free canoe ride to the mainland to eat out and experience the ayurveda massage found in town. Booked 3 nights, extended to 4 and wished for more.
