Lovely property situated right at the beach, very good management, it's a great place and we regret we couldn't stay longer. Rooms are spotless clean, recently built/renovated with very spacious bathroom and beautiful decor. There's attached balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast which is included was yummy and big in quantity as per two people. My mum loved the coffee so much that she talked about it for next 2 days 😂 I really liked the tiles at the property and aesthetic. Cookie in the room was a cute gesture too. Rahul was lovely and very hospitable, he also managed our backwaters sunset trip in just few minutes. It was perfect and I really recommend this place.
Except location, which is right on the beach, nothing so special or worth of INR 3500 /night tariff. Room is good in size and the host, Anoop is a nice human being. Breakfast only choice we had is to have idli with sambhar which was cold. Steep stairs you need to climb to reach your room. There is a cafe called Catamaran next door where you can have your meals if not in a mood to travel far for food as Neela Waters doesnt have a kitchen facility to serve its boarders. Cleanliness of the property is good, and seeing the sea fron the sea-facing rooms is worth a night's stay here. Rest all average.
This is a fantastic home stay. Clean a/c rooms. We only tried the Indian breakfast which was delicious. The hosts are extremely helpful in organising and advising on excursions, as well as advising on a host of local questions. They go the extra mile in service. Room tip: get a sea view room with balcony. Highly recommended.
Stayed for 3 nights and everything was perfect. Excellent location right on the beach - 5min tuk tuk to centre, 15min walk down the beach. Really good restaurants right next door. The rooms are large and have excellent views of the beach - we saw dolphins in the sea within 5min of being there! The stand out are the hosts. Big thanks to Joanna and Nachi. Extremely welcoming on arrival and helpful throughout. Good recommendations for restaurants and arranged things to do (ayurveda and boat trip and taxi transfers). Would highly recommend.
There isn't a lot to be said about this incredible homestay, that hasn't already been said....Jo,Nachi and Leila are perfect hosts.....the rooms are spotless, the views from the balcony are gorgeous and breakfast was delicious....nothing is too big a favor to ask...all homestays should be this welcoming....we miss Alleppey and Neela Waters...hopefully someday we will meet again....thank you for a wonderful stay....Marlene and Steve
Beautiful room with amazing large arched windows and balcony that take full advantage of the beach view. Welcoming family stay. Superb waterfront views. Comfortable clean AC rooms. Delicious local cuisine. Our stay has been a pleasure. Highly recommended.
This is my third visit to Aleppey and I have to stay at a nearby place as they are pretty full for next couple of months. No wonder! I have always enjoyed the vibe at Jo and Nachi’s place. When I first looked at this place on Airbnb, some reviews said that this is the best place to start your trip in Kerala. I can understand that as Nachi and Jo has been traveling around for long they can help you with a lot of recommendations. For me Neela Waters was the best place to take a break and relax. This place offers a lot. Right on the beach, there are two restaurants nearby namely #Cafe Catamaran, which offers vegan friendly dishes with some nice music and #Sea Shore for local Kerala dishes. If you are passionate about trying out some Kerala dishes this is the place as you have opportunity to take some notes on how to cook them as well. Best thing about Aleppey is that you can spend a lot of time walking around, boating, kayaking, chilling by the beach, biking around and some live music in the cafe if you are lucky. Care to have some drinks by the evening? Grab a tuk tuk to #Raheem Residency where they have tasty dinner options too. So, if you are planning to travel around Kerala, never miss this place. …
This place is a homestay. Jo and Nachi are great host! They welcomed me and my family with a warm chai and also help us find a nearby place for my family to stay who were last minute additions. The location is right by the beach and the room are pretty nice. Jo and Nachi have paid attention to small details such as keeping extra chairs, water, coffee/tea in the common area that other visitors can use anytime. The entrance for visitors is separate so that you and can come and go anytime you want to. The breakfast was great. The host provided us with recommendations for food, things to do and arranged for tuk-tuk as well. I had a fabulous experience with this home stay and I will visit again. Highly recommended!
We stayed here on a stopover for one night, using two rooms. Jo gave us a lovely friendly welcome and showed us to our room. The room was excellent, spacious, clean with everything we needed for our stay. A kettle and tea facilities were just outside the room which was nice. The room had a view of the extensive beach, with a good size balcony where Jo had placed an extra chair so that our daughter could join us there, very thoughtful thanks. The bed was comfortable and the bedding good. We had breakfast here which was filling and very nice, and the added bonus of Marmite! The tea was lovely (English style tea). Nachi introduced himself and daughter Leila to us at the nearby Catamaran cafe/bar which was nice of him. All in all we were made to feel very welcome at Neela Waters and would have liked to have stayed much longer. Should we return to this area we would definately return to this accommodation. Adele and parents.Thank you.…
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Neela waters. The warmth, kindness and enthusiasm of the hosts, Jo, Nachi and the gorgeous little Laila, is infectious and gives Neela a genuine homely feel. Nothings was too much trouble for Jo and Nachi - booking our taxis, houseboat and activities. We stayed in two beautiful rooms during our stay, both of which had stunning views of the beach and were immaculately clean. Breakfast was excellent with a choice between traditional Indian and European as well as the best coffee I had in India! I would wholeheartedly recommend Neela if you are looking for an authentic but comfortable Keralan guesthouse. Thank you, Jo and Nachi and I hope to come back soon!
