The Cosy Lake Villa is a good hotel but very difficult to locate. It is very far from the main city and around 2.5 kms road is very narrow and sign board are not properly place. They have their own houseboat service, if anyone wants to avail, then must book well advance. We stayed here a night. Reception is just ok, not much cordial and bit slow in room allotment. Rooms are spacious, clean and loaded with adequate furniture. We get ground floor rooms, we have issue with inside door lock. And glass are transparent, so privacy is not upto mark. They have in-house restaurant, but one must placed order minimum 2 hours ahead. Food quality and taste are good, rates are affordable. Will recommend anyone for homely stay. But having personal car is advisable, for location issue.
We stayed there for 2 days from 31st December 2018 to 2nd January 2019 . It is situated in a village outside city. It has an amazing view of the kumarakom lake and also the birds. The rooms were very neat and clean. The staffs were very helpful and they served us the food we wanted. The manager arranged for us 1 BHK houseboat for the day cruise on the 1st January. It was the perfect way to begin the new year. With Best Wishes, Abhijit
We visited cosy lake villa on 27 Dec and stayed for two nights. The hotel is a bit inside but when we reached there we were awestruck with the view. Such a beautiful place. They prepare awesome food, especially paneer butter masala and mutter paneer were finger-lickingly amazing. We just had to inform them in advance what we wanted to eat and they took care of it. Next they have their own houseboating service also, so they facilitated a personal shikara for the 3 of us even in that busy season at a good rate. We felt very relaxed for the two days we stayed. The homely food made it even better. Whenever we come next time, we are coming here itself.
This villa is a bit far from city and you need to have a personal vehicle else anywhere you go you have to shed some money for auto/taxi as it is bit inside. The welcome that we received from the hotel staff was not warm(there was no reception as such, just a chair and a table where you need to fill the form) and we didn't feel great staying here. Our room was in ground floor just near the dining area and you could hear everyone's voice from the corridor. Not much privacy if you move the curtains as the glass are see through. We just wanted our night to be over soon so that we can checkout early and did so in the next morning.
