Wonderful setting, total immersed in the bush and surrounded by animals. Great service from Alan - and the ever-keen Jason - and very, very comfortable permanent tents. The highlight are the safaris- early morning walks in beautiful light, daytime game drives with abundant elephants, giraffes and lion, and night-time drives into the dark bush with an open-top jeep, a Masai... We were six in our party- myself, daughter, son and daughter-in-law and two teenage grandchildren. We had been on very strenuous safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and a fact-finding mission at Olduvai, and Manyara Ranch was a wonderful way to end it. There were lots of delightful touches, like the sundowners in the bush, the magical night-drives, the walking... More

Absolutely loved this place!!! Alan and Jason were fabulous hosts and we were very comfortable. I loved the Verreauxs Eagle owl, he was quite the treat. Jason took us on several enjoyable horseback rides and we were able to canter with a flight of giraffe! The tent was so clean and comfortable. The food was great. We enjoyed all the... More

Manyara Ranch is a fantastic place, Alan, Jason and the rest of the staff made our stay unforgettable, our morning walks where lovely and the night drives looking for a lion were a lot of fun! The game is right at your door, varied and awesome. Bundi is an extra treat. And speaking of treats, the food is fresh and... More

Our family of four spent two nights at Manyara as part of a 10 day safari. The camp is excellent, the tents are tents in name only, more like small high end cabins spread sufficient distance from each other that you do feel like you are alone in the African wilds. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The game viewing... More

Our family came here after climbing Kili as a base for a few days of Safari. We could not have been happier with the service, comfort of our accommodation, quality of food. To sit at the door of your "permanent tent" after a hot shower and casually observe a giraffe meandering by..., well, that's just too good to be true.

My husband and I started our Safari at the ranch as a 45th Wedding Anniversary trip and we treated like we were so special! the Ranch has so much to offer with wonderful game drives day and night. The staff was just wonderful especially Alan, Jason and Dez! We saw such a large number of animals and it thrilled us!... More

We had 3 nights at the camp - lucky for us, 2 of the nights we were the only guests. The staff were PERFECT, they had a great solution for hot showers - GOOD tents - morning evening - the food was TOO good, waistline problem etc. We had a chance to "talk" with BUNDI - their Verreaux Eagle Owl.... The land is owned by three Masai villages which receive payment for each guest at the camp, and it's nice to see at least some of the income flowing to the locals. The six double tents are well spaced but all close enough to the restaurant tent. Each is spacious and well-furnished, with big double beds, hot showers and flush... More

Most of these review are spot on. I stayed here with my family last spring. The truly great part about Manyara Ranch is that you have the place to yourself except for any other guests and Maasai herders in the park, so it feels like your own personal park. We loved the walking tours, night game drive, horseback riding, and... More
