This camp built up on the rock kopje is a delight. Great location to get out and about in Tarangire NP but also to return to in the evening for watching lovely sunsets over the park and distant lakes. Our comfortable tent had beautiful day and night views from the veranda and the dawn chorus was amazing. The staff were... More

My wife and two daughters stayed for two nights in Mid December and it was a fantastic start to our holiday. The views upon arrival are breath taking and the welcome from all the staff was most appreciated. Our tents were comfortable with views over the valley. The food at dinner was very tasty and afterwards we were able to... More

We spent two nights at Maweninga Tented Camp in Tarangire as part of a 15 day safari arranged by the UK firm, Go2Tanzania. Our tent was quiet and comfortable with great views. Service and food were both good.

We stayed here in October 2015 for 3 nights, the camp has amazing views, a lovely big fire pit and good food. The camp did have a lot of big groups of french tourists and they did their best to help us stay slightly detached form the group so as to not detract from our independent stay.

The camp is is the National Park on top of a hill. We stayed for two nights and were made to feel very welcome. The staff are so friendly and willing to tell visitors about their lives and family. The tents, service and food were all excellent. We saw lots of wildlife in Tarangire up close. A very special place... More

My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights on our trip to Tanzania. Our tent was excellent and provided everything we needed. We really enjoyed hearing the different animals at night. We also loved coming back to this camp to enjoy the peaceful sunset views. Tarangire Park does have a lot of tsetse flies but once we were... More

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our safari holiday. We had a great first days safari seeing lots of different animals including lions and a cheetah. We arrived at the camp and were stunned by the amazing views both from our tent balconies and from the main communal area. We watched the sun setting over the... More

We started our safari with two nights at Maweninga in Tarangire and it was wonderful. The views are stunning, and sitting with a beer on the rock watching the sun go down will be a lasting memory. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the tents comfortable in a great location. The camp was recommended to us by African... More

We stayed at Maweninga Camp for two nights and it was a great experience. The people are very friendly and the view is amazing. We had a triple room tent, and though it was a little crowded for three beds, but I didn't see one bug in the tent and the shower worked fine - hot water and good pressure.... More

Wow is all I can say about the scenery. It was a great place to start our safari. The drive up to the camp is a steep and bumpy one. There were also a lot of tsetse flies around. We hadn't seen any on our trip up until that point, and it was quite an experience. We were greeted at... More
