We recently stayed at Lewen-Essens and were blown away by the fantastic location and beautiful views. Our hosts, Res and Anita were friendly and made us feel so welcome. It was like home-from-home. The breakfasts were varied and the rooms were extremely comfortable.

Lewens Essence is the perfect get away for Cape Tonians. It is only an hour drive from Cape Town and nestled on the beach front in Yzerfontein. If you are looking for an relaxing atmosphere to rest and breathe fresh sea air, this is the place for you. The owners were super friendly and we felt very at home.

Our room was spacious, well equipped with sliding doors opening up to the front veranda, overlooking and right on the sea's footstep! Birds flying around, even a Jackal Bussard roaming. Ria has a passion for people and we had to drag ourselves to our room, she and her partner are so delightful and enthusiastic! Sleeping and waking up with the...

Their attention to visitors needs are exceptional. Small things like enough plugs to charge all your gadgets. A decent mirror and seat for hair drying. A double sized bench to put...

We used Lewens-Essens as a base for daisy gazing in the nearby Westcoast National Park. It proved to be very well positioned for the exercise being 20 only minutes away. We saw some of the best flowers ever! After years of travel the breakfast provided was of the best ever received, literally a work of art with enough substance to...
