Checking in was a breeze. Being a Marriott Platinum Elite member I received a free upgrade to a king corner room with a balcony. Kenny, the front desk person was very friendly and informative about Gatlinburg . The room was very spacious and clean. Walk in shower and large bathroom. The hotel is a great location where you can walk to everything .
The hotel was well located, and the lobby area was nicely decorated. The king room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The mini-fridge was VERY small and had no freezer section. A microwave is a plus! The early morning noise from the construction behind the hotel was hard to escape (unless the A/C was running). I think I would avoid staying here until construction is complete, unless the price was competitive enough to convince me otherwise. It's very walkable to nearby restaurants and downtown area. We walked one night to nearby Shamrock bar for karaoke. Some really impressive singers were there! Favorite hikes include Charles Bunion, Alum Cave (Le Conte), Baskins Creek Falls. Bring layers because even in May it was a little cool up in the mtns.
Overall a reasonable stay. Room was not ready till 4:45. Breakfast offerrings were only coffee, yogart, bagel, egg sandwich. Did not have any coffee cake, fruit, etc. I am tiring of the "pandamic is causing problems".
Wow room is Great. Clean an Comfortable. Staff upgraded us as we are Bonvoy Platinum Elite member. The fire pit an outdoor courtyard was nice. Hot tub looks inviting but it is 14 degrees out. So maybe next time.
My room was spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room (not at all standard in the United States). The staff at reception was extremely pleasant and common areas also were clean. The location is good, fairly close (walking distance) to the main Strip in Gatlinburg.
Think twice before staying!!! My husband and I stayed at this courtyard 4 years ago for our anniversary and loved it. Little did we know how much had changed!! We brought our family back for a short mountain get away and the experience was AWFUL! The air conditioner in our room rattled and knocked all night so we didn’t get any sleep. The next day my husband spoke to the manager on duty Leah she was rude and informed us all the air conditioners in the entire hotel sounded that bad so I’m guessing she was proud of that! This was a lie being that my family member was in the connecting room and there air was quiet. Also in the front room there was a mini waterfall dripping inside the wall that sounded like a noice maker which we had no idea where was coming from! Then when riding in one of the elevators to the sixth floor the elevator abruptly stopped made a loud bang we were dropped down almost to the next floor then It went back up. This was the most terrifying thing I have ever experienced in my life and my children were even more frightened. That evening the maintenance guy came to tell us how this happens quite a-lot and his own manager was dropped from the 6th to 1st floor a couple of weeks ago. That they have it serviced but they should be replaced. That was very upsetting because they put our lives at risk! Then he checked out our air conditioning and said how it’s not supposed to sound like that but after we check out they will probably just replace it. He said he heard us all scream and they closed the elevator. When I went once again to speak to management Leah said well there is nothing I can do about that. Her lack of care or concern for the danger my family was put in was so shocking! Then the power went out because of the snow storm there was no courtesy of any kind offered to guest. Im just appalled by the lack of hospitality shown at this Marriott. I wouldn’t let me dog stay at this hotel! The best part of our stay was leaving.…
We’ve stayed at this Courtyard many times since it opened and every time it’s fantastic! This Christmas was just as great as the rest. The hotel and its associates are wonderful. It has a great location and excellent amenities. Nice, warm indoor pool and a HUGE hot tub (which is even great during the cold winter months). Everything about this Courtyard is top notch. One of my favorite Marriott properties worldwide!
The property was a block off the main drag in Gatlinburg, which was just perfect. Hotel was clean and had plenty of free parking for guests. Check in was easy on-line including the ability to "chat" with hotel so that our request for extra pillows were already in our room. Very close to park, so easy in and out. Big breakfast area which was a little understaffed, but still was able to get my morning coffee without too much trouble.
Pros: Great location, easy walk to main strip, clean and friendly, rooms big. Cons: noise easily heard from other rooms, beds are small (maybe full instead of queen). Lobby is nice and open and has drinks/snacks in the morning and evening. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool.
This is my 4th hotel in 5 days and the very first one to have actual glasses in my room. Why can't we have real glasses in our hotel rooms again. We have them in the hotel bars. Thank you Marriott Very nice room and view from the balcony. Short walk to main street
