Upon arriving we thought it looked very poor from the outside. Definitely not impressive. But check in was a very smooth process. We got an end unit on the creek view side with our own private balcony. So that was very nice.
We entered our room and I started my checklist of things when I stay at a hotel. Bathroom looks updated and clean. The beds were clean and very comfortable.
The mini fridge has this.. sticky residue inside, which really grossed me out. There were dead lady bugs on the a/c unit inside.
The balcony is small, but nice. Chairs were provided and there is a wall of privacy plexiglass separating the two rooms.
Don’t know that we would stay here again, but for the price we paid it was average.

If you expect a resort experience at this price point, this is not the place for you. I stayed for one night in a clean room overlooking the river. I looked at the photos ahead of time and it was exactly what I expected. Everything worked as it should, and the bed was very comfortable - felt new. I caught two small trout behind my room the next morning. The owners were present and explained that they have been renovating over the past two years since acquiring the property. Super nice people.

As for trash, I saw some smoker's flick butts towards the river and did see some other cans, etc. I lay that on the litterbugs as it was full while I was there and unlike Disney, you can't have constant parking lot cleaning. The desk attendant was very friendly and opened my door when I forgot my key inside. I was able to walk to Ole Red which had live music and good food. By being off the beaten path, I was able to get to the National Park via a by-pass road and cut way down on traffic. I would definitely stay here again!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights as we explored the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I chose this place because it offered a balcony overlooking a creek and it wasn't ridiculously over budget. We paid about $100/night - not sure if it was entirely worth it now that I've stayed there.

Overall cleanliness was acceptable for a motel and all the basic amenities you would need are provided. I think the room could use maybe a full-size mirror and armoire/wardrobe. There was one part of the room that was totally under-utilized.

Beds were weird in that it sunk in slightly in strange areas. But because it was soft, it was bearable. The fridge wasn't quite cool enough, although the freezer worked fine. Towels provided by the motel are also a little rough on the skin.

What really dampened my stay was that I didn't get to enjoy the balcony as much as I would have liked after a long day of hiking/exploring in the park. Our neighbors were hanging out/smoking/chatting loudly on their balcony until past midnight all 3 nights we were there. And with just a set of railings dividing us, I did not feel comfortable hanging out there myself. It does sound like some balconies have a privacy glass between balconies, soI wish this was built in for all rooms. If you're looking for privacy, make sure to ask for a room with the privacy glass on the balcony. I was staying on the first floor.

Avoid this place its horrible

823262355

Stayed there this Christmas 2021. The room had a very overpowering smell of some sort of cleaner , we had to leave the doors open at first . Bugs in room . Bathtub is the narrowest one I have ever seen . I couldn't lay down in it . 350 for two nights is a horrible deal . also someone came in our room and stole . They brought a roll of toilet paper that we didn't ask for but im sure that's how they justified coming in your room. The beds were not made just a mysterious roll of toiletpaer appeared. Only thing good was the creek . The hotel is in a scary location with abandoned houses next to it . They also had their cars took apart next to the lobby . No pool . Only one crappy snack machine .Trash in parking lot . Run from this place . Go see it before you book so you do not get took like we did.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountains National Park. All rooms offer a charming "creek side" view of Bear Creek. The sounds are very soothing. The room was complete with refrigerator, microwave and ironing board. Everything about the room was great including the newly remodeled bathroom.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, etc. We really could not find anything to complain about. Are there fancier hotels nearby? Of course but why spend the money?

The walk to the center of downtown is about 12-15 minutes and is enjoyable.

Myself and my partner were road tripping between Atlanta, Gatlinburg and Nashville for our Honeymoon. We didn't know much about Gatlinburg but wanted somewhere to get our heads down for 2 nights to visit the surrounding area. We loved the fact on the reviews this little Inn was based on the river, it is easy to find from the main route and about 5/6 minutes walk from Ole Red at the end of the main Gatlinburg front street. The inn is easy to find, we arrived late, we parked up and headed to reception were we were greeted with a friendly guy who ran us through the form to sign for the rules, handed us a quaint little welcome pack with some snack bits and a car pass which we popped into the car when we unpacked. We had a room on the 2nd floor, my honest opinion (from someone who works in travel) if you are looking for a 5* hotel this is not the place, however the room was large, very clean we had 2 double beds.
The room had a coffee maker, tv, microwave and fridge. It was large in size, the whole place felt very safe and secure, we didn't seem to find a safe which we would have liked however. The bathroom is basic, clean - there was a big well lit mirror, sink and hairdryer perfect for getting ready and doing make up. No issues with the shower.

My favourite part was the balcony, the door opens to reveal a wonderful river view which was relaxing & tranquil, may be worth packing bug spray however we had no issues but guess this depends on seasons too. There was ample space on the balcony, on the evening we sat our when we got back, even though the weather wasn't on our side they are covered. The added bonus was the following morning whilst chilling on the balcony, a bear appeared down on the river side, a fantastic up and close experience!

The walk to Gatlinburg front street was a nice one, lots of shops and bars and things to see and visit as you reach the main part. Overall great little stay, clean and lovely staff. Would stay again!

This was our first trip to Gatlinburg, where instead of renting a cabin, we decided to stay closer to town. There are so many hotels, motels, inns, etc, to choose from. We chose Bear Creek Inn, because we liked the location, and the fact that every room has a balcony that overlooks the creek. Upon our arrival, check-in was easy, and the desk clerk was very friendly. The room was clean, and contained the usual amenities, (coffee maker, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, etc). The beds were quite comfortable. After reading reviews that stated the room lacked anywhere to hang clothes. We brought a couple of over-the-door multi hooks, which worked out just fine. It was a nice surprise to find 3 extra outlets, located on the front of the night stand, where we could charge our phones. The weather was pretty accommodating, and we were comfortable without running the heat/air unit during the day, but set the temp at 70 for the nights. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs on the balcony. It made our stay extra nice. We would definitely stay there in the future and would recommend it to others. We could have spent twice as much on a room, somewhere else, but I couldn’t justify it, when Bear Creek served our purpose and did so very nicely.

Pros: able to check in late, night clerk very kind, convenient location, and best of all the creek was amazing. The sound was soothing and peaceful. Located just beyond the main strip away from the traffic is great.
Cons: The room and place were dirty! Cheap bed, lacking pillows, cob webs all over, trash in the room under the ac unit, left over soap, cob webs in the windows ugh, and the towels were small and rough. Don’t be fooled by the other reviews of cleanliness. Saw nothing related to COVID for cleaning masks. Not enough parking.
If you fixed the dirtiness and comfort items this would be the best place to stay hands down!

The inn was nice and I really enjoyed the view of the creek right outside on the balcony. It is close to several of the trails I wanted to hike in the mountains and walking distance to downtown. I appreciated the refrigerator and microwave amenities as well. My only issue was I saw some bugs when I first arrived but they went away shortly after with some Raid. Maybe they came in when I went out on the balcony. Also, there was no one available to check out early on a Saturday as the door to the office was locked. I had prepaid so just left my keys in the room.

Stayed here Saturday, July 8, 2023. The Gentleman taking my payment etc was very nice! The room was Clean, Bug Free, and no odors. Nice little set up for something within walking distance of the strip. The cutest little bear was greeting us as we walked into our room🧸The sound of the creek from the balcony was nice as well. The place filled up rather quickly! Would stay again.
