My husband and I stayed at the Gunflint Lodge for a three night stay to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in cabin #4. The cabin was perfect, well kept and had all the amenities needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Beautiful views, dog friendly, great food, and plenty of activities to enjoy. We loved our time there and...

I was here from Montana on the Women's annual retreat from Appleton, WI. Our accommodations was a 2 bedroom house with 2 queen beds each. It has a real wood burning fireplace (fully stocked with wood, kindling, paper and fire starters), dry/wet sauna, W/D and a full kitchen with coffee maker, dishes, toaster. There is also a tv and dvd...

We went a long time ago, for our April 2013 honeymoon. We hoped for beautiful weather, but of course, we got slop and mud, ice and snow! The drive up is beautiful. We stopped in Grand Marais for our groceries, because husband and I are totally cheap like that. We didn't pick out any special packages, just booked our dates...

Thank you for your comments from your visit in 2013. An April visit to the northwoods is at the whim of nature, and we have to work with what we get. We do our best to tell everyone that there will be ice on the lake in April but it is not considered safe. Our cross country ski season has...

This was our second trip to Gunflint Lodge, the first being our honeymoon 10 years ago. Such a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful place!! Fantastic for anyone who loves the outdoors and who wants to just get away from it all! Our cabin was clean, comfortable and came with a beautiful view of the lake. The food at the lodge is...

My Husband and I purchased a trip from the Gunflint Northwood outfitters and stayed at the Lodge as well. Everything about the trip was amazing and plan to return again some day. The staff are super nice and helpful with every aspect from buying a fishing license, suggesting something wonderful off the food menu, to planning a mapping out a...

My entire family spent Christmas week at Gunflint. The "cabins" are so large and comfortable our families could have moved in permanently. The natural beauty is unrivaled and the lodge itself is cozy. The food in the lodge restaurant is great as well. This place should be in "The top ten places to stay before you die."

This was our first trip to the north shore and we had a blast. We had the Romantic getaway package, which includes all activities and meals, so it felt a little like a very high-end summer camp experience. Beautiful cabin right on the lake, looking across the water to Canada. Great meals with beautiful views, the sound of loons at...

My husband and I visit Gunflint Lodge at least once a year. We absolutely love our stay each time. There is always something fun to do from hiking, cross country skiing, to fishing. Each morning it is a must to enjoy the breakfast in the bistro. We love the nature center activities led by Naturalist John. The cabins are always...

We've been going to the Gunflint Lodge for several years just for their Sunday evening barbecues during the summer. They are terrific! This year, we decided to stay a few days during our annual trip to the North Shore. It was lovely, peaceful and calm, just as we had hoped. We stayed in one of their Romantic Cottages. They are...
