The Drifter Motel was just recently purchased by new owners, and is in a huge remodeling process! We have installed brand new internet services, and are in the process of upgrading them because we feel it's not fast enough. We've included free breakfast, and implemented suite rooms which include amenities like microwaves, refrigerators, coffee machines, hair dryers, etc. We've also added brand new TVs to the suite rooms, and remodeled all the room furnishing. We're excited to give a brand new experience to all our guests, and make them experience the best stay we have to offer.

The moment I stepped into the room the cigarette smoke and old mustiness hit my nose like a torpedo. Looking around I could see the dirty baseboards and walls and stained blankets, behind the door was a filthy used towel from the last resident. I went to the front desk and asked the owner for a refund, I could not stay there and I told him why, he immediately started yelling at me, called me a liar, claimed I must have stuck the dirty towel behind the door, the man was INSANE!! DO NOT book this dirty motel, leave it to the roaches and the crazy owner!!

Old and smelly motel. We stayed in 226. Bathroom was dirty, the room smelled like soap, and no WiFi internet. It’s only works at the front desk. The owners lied to us that the internet connection works everywhere. It clearly didn’t. Go to Holiday inn- it’s the same price and better hotel!

The restaurant is currently closed but the room, bed and front desk people are excellent. The price and location are very good as well. Every thing was clean and although the motel was busy it was still very quiet except for the traffic on the highway going through town.

I was greeted by a very courteous staff and assigned a room that I found out to not be refurbished and finished updating as was told by the staff that it was when I made my reservation. My room did have a fairly new mattress, HVAC unit and television; however, it was in dire need of a complete/good cleaning, painting and furnishings. The tub/shower was well beyond its use in that its glazing was completely worn off; the room's base board and wall texturing was either cracking or damaged; and, overall, the condition of the room was not a healthy environment to be in. I will not stay here again nor do I recommend this facility to anyone. My primary place that I had intended to stay as well as the two other facilities were completely booked and this place, the Drifter Motel was my fall back of sorts and I thoroughly was disgusted with this facility.

This is a simple and inexpensive place to stay which is comfortable and clean. It reminds me of the places my family would stop at back in the 60's when I was a child. Nothing fancy at all. But the beds are comfortable and the noise is tolerable and the breakfast excellent. I would stay again.

This motel looks an absolute fright from the outside, it's an older type, desperately needing some work, peeling paint, rubbish laying everywhere, the car Park is downright dangerous being full of pot holes and the office is a complete and utter disorganised mess....however.... our room was sparkling clean with a comfy bed, nice linens, towels and toiletries. The included breakfast was an eye opener ! It was great.. choose what you like from the restaurant menu, cooked fresh to order and very nice servers and it's busy with locals too, again it's tatty with old furniture and signage but the food is good. I do hope the old place gets done up, it deserves too.

Our room was somewhat small, just one bed, the bathroom is really small, but new TV, there was a big fridge, microwave, and coffee maker thingy. Very quiet air conditioning. The best was the free breakfast at their restaurant. It is a la carte and we really liked it.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Drifter Motel in Silver City. The owners are on-site and very friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the location can't be beat! Their towels are as plush as anyone's and the bed made for a great night's rest. I highly recommend the Drifter Motel and we will stay there every time we're in the area.

I was running late to getting to the hotel room. I called the hotel to let them know and they said that they would save my hotel room. When I finally arrived the front Dess was very happy to see me even though it was very late in the evening. This hotel has been totally remodeled!!! The breakfast was a sit down order from the menu with a waiter. I had the Denver omelette with hashbrowns toast and coffee at no cost to me. When my grandchildren come to visit I will be going there when we visit Silver City
