We stayed here for the first time in January. It is a great location,in walking distance to alot of great shops, restaurants and museum. You felt like you were stepping into history and it was very nicely appointed. The breakfast offering was ok and we enjoyed visiting with other guests in the dining area. It was a real bargain too! We...

I've stayed at the Palace Hotel twice a year for the past 3 years and will be going back again this year. The hotel has so much character and the owners are lovely. It's hard to define just what the attraction is, but the atmosphere, the location and the owners just make a stay here a thoroughly delightful experience.

Enjoyed our stay here. Quaint rooms, with great owners and a decent breakfast. Close to everything going on downtown. Not your run of the mill chain and just what we wanted. The breakfast was an added bonus.

Had a King room with a sitting room. It was great. Each room is unique. The Hotel is located right in the middle of the old town. Fun to be able to walk out the door to various shops, restaurants and museum. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants something a bit different than today's motels. Be aware that...

I was really pleased to stay in a lovingly kept-up historic hotel where the rates have not been inflated to "boutique" prices. We stayed in room 61, one of the cheap rooms ($51 plus tax) which overlooks a quiet side street. It was definitely a small room but perfectly clean, comfortable and efficiently appointed with a closet turned into a...

We stayed two nights on a trip with another couple and ate in some good restaurants downtown. Our rooms were great - clean and historic. We received excellent service from both the owners and manager who overlapped on the weekend we were there. Beds were quite comfortable. Few motel "free breakfasts" are all that attractive, we actually ranked this one...

This hotel is old, and I accepted it for all its historic charm. The rooms are not perfect as we expect from a modern hotel, but if you want modern, stay somewhere else. The age of the rooms adds to the ambience. The owners were friendly and I enjoyed our chats. We had arrived later in the evening and after...

It's true that the Palace Hotel in downtown Silver City is quirky and has its charms (as other reviewers have noted). It is the polar opposite of a monotonous and predictable chain hotel; and it is not as pretentious or expensive as some boutique hotels. It's located in the historic downtown area, within easy walking distance of restaurants, art galleries,...

I stayed in the Spring of 2013 and I will probably be back in Silver City quite often to visit my brother. I would always rather stay in a cool place than a cookie cutter hotel. Cowboy hotel with electricity. Which is temperamental. The light would flicker when we shifted in bed because the outlet was loose. The bath tub...

I stayed at the Palace Hotel, Silver City NM in late May 2013. The hotel is quite a gem with much old world charm and it is a very different experience from the chain hotels. So it is old and a bit quirky. The floorbords creak. Check in went smoothly and the lass behind the counter was helpful with restaurant...
