The only part of my stay that was a bit uncomfortable was the bed and the heat. The bed was a little too soft and indented, and the air conditioner only worked so-so. Aside from that, it was quiet, and the staff was lovely. Excellent location.

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review. I do wish you would have mentioned your issues to us as I am not sure which room/suite you were in. We are here to please our guests and would have been happy for you to make a change if you wished. Thank you for staying with us.

I booked a stay at the Palace Hotel really wanting to like it. The historic building promised to provide a welcome chain from the usual chain motels. When I made the reservation, I was concerned that the website only mentioned ceiling fans, not a/c. But in a call to the hotel, I was told the rooms now had a/c and...

Our staff takes pleasure in welcoming our guests as reviewed by many, but unfortunately you felt otherwise. As I responded in your review on another site, the two room suite you wereupgraded in had a king bed in one room and a queen bed in the other room, both with air conditioning units. When both units are cooling the suite...

This hotel is old, so don't expect elevators or other modern conveniences. But what it lacks in those more than makes up for in charm! We had a large room with a view of the street below and a big four poster bed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There are no phones in the rooms but that was more...

We are happy you enjoyed staying at our 1882 hotel and for making us part a your Silver City experience. Our five foot long and 15 inch deep bath tubs are from the 1928 Palace Hotel renovation which was done by the well known architect Henry Trost of El Paso. We do have our tubs refinished from time to time...

This late 1800 hotel has been refurbished in an old time theme and is quite enjoyable. The rooms were great and the bed very comfortable. Although we had to use stairs good handrails helped. We had a very good choice at breakfast and plenty of good hot coffee. The hotel location in the center of town made shopping very easy....

Stayed in Silver City for two nights. We chose this hotel because of its location. It is directly on the main street that runs through town. It is a very old and historic building and the inside is looks like a step back in time. You must use stairs to get to the rooms (I didn't notice elevators but you...

I want to thank you for your lovely review of our historic property. While we do not have an elevator, our staff is happy to take your luggage to your room for you. Also, we have quite a variety of rooms and two room suites in different configurations. The suites are two rooms and approximately 425 square feet. Most of...

The stairs are steep and there was no one to help with luggage. I stayed three nights while visiting with my sister. It's convenient to old town attractions, restaurants and galleries. Parking is in the street. You can really get a feel for what it was like in the early old west because it hasn't changed much. The fan in...

I appreciate the fact that you took time to review our 1882 hotel, but am confused by some of your statements. Our stairs are not steep at all and have been deemed safe by our insurance company. Also, there is ALWAYS a staff person who is on hand to help with our guest's luggage and I am sorry you had...

Charming, old historic hotel in downtown Silver City, NM. Very gracious staff. Big continental breakfast. Rooms are small and you have to climb stairs to the 2nd floor, but our stay was wonderful. Very well appointed. I will stay again.

My husband and i started here last weekend and just loved it! Very quiet and super clean and really feels more like a B&B, which we loved. They are also very military friendly, they offer a 10% discount and were very nice to us during our stay. If you are looking for a great location, nice cute clean rooms with...

The Palace Hotel was a perfect choice for a stay in Silver City. Right downtown, historic and quirky just like the town, and extremely pleasant, comfortable, clean and safe. We had a 2 bedroom unit, just right for the family. Nice, clean bathroom, comfortable beds, classic creaky floors, nice TV, etc. Free breakfast was good with lots of options for...

Very nice and clean historic hotel. If old hotel are for you, you will enjoy this one. If you like modernity and amenities, you will be better off in a chain property. Continental breakfast was good and plentiful and served in a nice setting.
