Very welcoming and comfortable. The location is great if you want to go sightseeing in the city. The train is a short walk. Nice breakfast and the hospitality is great. Have stayed here multiple times.

We were in Brooklyn on an apartment hunting trip, and really got it right by deciding to stay at Rugby Gardens. Sue was a great help with our becoming acclimated to the area, and she was very helpful in advising us regarding our efforts. The accommodations were very clean, and nice. The location is very close to two subway stops....

Finding an affordable hotel in the NYC area is nearly impossible. Finding a bed and breakfast that mirrors the experience one might have in Europe is even more challenging. Finding both in one establishment IN the NYC area is truly something to marvel at! Sue and family made us feel totally at home in their cozy, colorful Victorian. We had...

We were so happy to share our home with you and your mom! Of course our Danish connection was wonderful as was our artist connection. We truly hope our paths cross again. Best- Sue

Sue and Michael were such welcoming hosts. They couldn’t have been more accommodating… everything from packing me “to go” fruit and cereal for my early morning exits to arranging for the car service I used each morning. The room is quiet and comfortable and the bathroom, though shared, has a heated floor that was wonderful! The neighborhood is a lovely...

We are very grateful to Sue and Michael for welcoming us to their enchanting home - our visit is a memory we'll treasure! Rugby Gardens is ideally located on Rugby Road, a tree-lined street just down the block from a farmers market and some lovely cafés, such as Mimi's Hummus, as well as the Cortelyou Metro station. Sue and Michael...

After a huge disappointment with a pre arrangeed air bnb stay, Rugby Gardens proved an oasis in Broklyn. It was convenienty located by the Q subway line, Brooklyn Industries shop and The Farm on Adderley restaurant.

We love consistency when we travel. It's great to stay at Rugby Gardens 2 or 3 times a year for great niece fixes a few blocks away. Both front and back rooms are comfortable and equally quiet. Parking is never an issue. On a quiet tree-lined Brooklyn street, very convenient to great restaurants, the subway, and 10 minute walk to...

We have family who live nearby so we have been staying at this B&B at least once a year for several years now. It's a great place to stay all around! It's a beautiful old house which is clean, quiet and comfortable. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating and treat us like family. The breakfast is good and the...

The room was comfortable and quiet. Luckily I did not have to share the bathroom. Breakfast was another story. The 'variety of artisanal baked goods' turned out to be a loaf of French bread, possibly previously frozen, that was put out every morning. By the third day the bread was so stale it was difficult to saw through. The orange...

“Rooms are adequately furnished with comfortable beds, and a robe to wear to lounge about. One of the owners is an artist and there is artwork throughout the house that gives this B&B an eclectic and welcoming flavor. The rooms are up a few flights of stairs, so you need to be able to navigate stairs to stay here. Enjoy!”
