Conducting business in this ever re-gentrifying neighborhood and having stayed in several surrounding motels I can say with certainty that this Holiday Inn Express has set the bar for all of the others. You will not be disappointed. You have my word on it.

From check in to complimentary breakfast to check out this Holiday Inn Express experience was five star. The check in clerk was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and neat, the complimentary breakfast included hot items - eggs, sausages, pancakes and cinnamon buns; the cold items included cereal (both cold and oatmeal), fruit and yogurt. Location is great. Close to subway, food and markets. Felt relatively secure and didn't worry too much about my rental car in their parking lot. Yes, I was there just before Christmas and the elevator was broken (only for 2 days). But they had people to help with bags, so it wasn't the end of the world. Honestly, even when...

We just completed a one week (12/26-1/2) stay at the HI Express in Brooklyn and were very happy with our choice. The hotel was very clean with 9 floors, a small lobby and a breakfast area (usual HI Express breakfast). The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the 9th floor and our room faced Union Street which...

It is a basic hotel & priced accordingly. The rooms were clean & comfortable. The elevator was broken during my stay which was a pain but I was lucky to only have to deal with one level. Subway is 1/2 block away, Dinosaur BBQ is across the street, bars, shops & restaurants on 5th Avenue 1/2 block away. Staff was...

We got there on the Friday night before Chrismas at around 10:00PM. The first comment from the front desk was that the elevator was not working and that the room we reserved was on the 10th floor. We had two options: to put us at a Choice hotels in Brooklyn or to reimburse us. The Choice hotels would have been...

Good: location, excellent breakfast (more than cheap cereals and toasts), friendly staff. Clean rooms. Across the hotel there is Dinosaur BBQ, it's a must go ! This is a very clean, updated, and comfortable hotel. The rooms are small but nicely appointed including a microwave and a small refrigerator. The parking is pricey and on street parking is crowded. The staff were helpful and there is a ful, free breakfast including pancakes, omelet a and bagels. The hotel is near a subway station, too!

Walking distance of train. Free breakfast is good, and free wifi. The only negative thing was the elevator... However there is a sign that says during peak hours the elevator will take a while. Doesn't have a gym or lounge area.
