Top knotch service by a great, courteous & professional
team. Wonderful transportation service was provided by the knowledgeable courteous Mr. Singh & Felix.
Front desk services by the thoughtful and always helpful Megan, Carolyn, Lesly were impeccable. We fully intend to make the Box House hotel our home away from home when we next visit our LIC family. The Housekeeping staff maintains the hotel to the very highest standards.
The hotel’s location is very close to Manhattan via the tunnel or 59th street bridge which is very convenient.
Five stars plus for the Box House hotel.

My stay at The Box House Hotel was INCREDIBLE! There were a couple of pain points, which I’ll get into below, but my overall experience here was simply incredible.
Karesha and night Audit Angelina!!!! Give those two ladies a raise! Immediately! They are extreme assets to this property! Protect them at all cost. They both made my stay so incredibly warm and welcoming with their smiles and attention to detail. They were so helpful and really took initiative to ensure I was taken care of. I owe 90% of this rave review to those two ladies. Oh and the tall African American doorman! He set the tone for my entire stay. First experience with the hotel was this gentleman!
Location: Bordering Queens, easily accessible to train stations and Manhattan. But also far enough away that I didn’t hear sirens during my entire 2 week stay. So quiet and peaceful.
Amenities: The gym sufficed. No rooftop access, AT ALL :( Complimentary pastries, juice, coffee and tea for breakfast was appreciated.
Pain-points: The wifi, when connected is great. However, every time I left my room or the hotel upon return I had to re-log onto the wifi over and over. This got annoying if I was taking a break from work, I would have to log onto the wifi if my laptop went to sleep.
There are flies everywhere! Day one I swatted 8 flies in my room. It was annoying.
Neighborhood: so safe! I could walk around any and everywhere and I felt so safe. Often times I would get back to the property after hours and would walk to the deli on the corner and felt so safe doing so at night.
Overall, great property, great staff, great service!

My wife and I recently visited the Box House Hotel on the spur of the moment to escape the loss of power at our home following Isaias. At the last moment, we were able to get a $175 rate which was very good. This hotel worked well for us since it was close to our daughter’s apartment in Greenpoint. We drove there from Long Island and found it very easy to park in the local streets. The hotel is very nice with a quirky charm that we appreciate. The room was very comfortable with room for us to spread out and was tasteful decorated. The bed was very nice with good linens. The bathroom was a good size with a tub/shower and soft towels. Due to Covid restrictions, the restaurant was closed and there was no room service. The only real disappointment was that we were not able to get into the roof top bar since it was fully booked. In similar situations, it is our experience that hotels set aside space for guests but this was not the case here. All in all, I would visit the Box House again and I do recommend it.

We were really looking forward to our stay as this type of boutique hotel is exactly what we love. We stayed at the sister property in the past on Franklin St. and loved it but there was no availability and we were eager to try this one. The room itself is comfortable but the extra charge for “balcony with a city view” was really stretching it. The event space on the 5th floor (we are on the 4th) had a wedding last night (ok, it was Saturday) but right now on Sunday around 9:30 there is a LOUD party not scheduled to end til 11- the ceiling is rattling and pounding from dancing. The music is earsplitting and I am hoping it will really be over by 11. In addition our room was not serviced at all despite the fact we hung out the door sign @ 11 AM- so have to get up at 6 to drive home AND the restaurant is closed after the weekend. Nice coffee maker but no coffee!
No clean towels. Would expect this at a bargain accommodation but NOT at this price point.

This hotel is a gem in Brooklyn, The vintage yellow cab parked outside just adds a nice touch. We always stay here when visiting family in New York. The rooms are spacious with a balcony and great views! The staff are so cheerful, friendly and accommodating, they even blew a balloon for our granddaughter! The doorman, Mr. Singh, is always so courteous and helpful.

I was in New York to assist with my daughter's back surgery. She lives in Brooklyn and The Box House Hotel is a location that is very convenient to her apartment in Greenpoint. I've stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and their customer service and commitment to quality is consistently top-notch! In my most recent visit, my daughter stayed with me in my studio room for a couple of days as she immediately recovered from her procedure. They made it very pleasant and comfortable for her, as well as the family and friends that came to visit her. Particular shout-out to a wonderful lady at the front desk who helped us tremendously with our unique needs... Kristina!

The Box House is my favorite hotel in Brooklyn and I have stayed there over 200 times over the past few years as my work often brings me to Greenpoint. However even when I’m working in another borough I still prefer to stay here if possible. The Box House is the perfect mix of classic and modern. The rooms are unique and large. You will not feel like you’re sleeping in a closet like many New York hotels. The gym is excellent and has a sauna. The restaurant and bar is fantastic and the view from the rooftop can’t be beat. Most of all it’s the staff that makes it great. You won’t get rude New York customer service here. These are friendly, attractive and attentive people that seem to have a genuine interest in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Shout out to Kristina and everyone at the desk. It’s you guys that make this hotel so special.

We came in to town for our daughter’s baby shower which was close by to the hotel. Upon check in, we weren’t immediately greeted and waited about 5 minutes, until being helped. The people behind the desk seemed to be distracted by something and were staring at their computer screens. After getting the key to our room on the first floor, we entered the room and very much liked what we saw. We had an upcoming reservation nearby for dinner, so we went out to eat and came back around 9:30. We hung out in our room for a while before going to bed. We were very comfortable until we were woken up around 12:00 a.m. by people who were partying in the bar down the hall. There was some kind of after party going on in the bar area, which became extremely loud. My husband called the front desk and the woman apologized profusely, but nothing was done about the noise and it continued for about two hours. People were walking down the hall and talking loudly, not caring if they were keeping anyone awake. We eventually fell back to sleep and slept later than expected, because of the night activity. Had we known it was going to be like this, we would have chosen another floor. Because nothing was done to control any noise or what seemed like intoxicated people walking in the hallway, I don’t think our family will return to this hotel.

We used to stay at the William Vale but a few year ago found our new BK home at the Box House. Rooms are spacious and everything you need such as shops, bars be and subway into Manhattan (1 stop on the 7 line) is in walking distance.
Caitlyn was excellent on reception and very helpful and pleasant with any queries we had and offered many recommendations to us.
As ever Dave behind the bar is an absolute gentleman and credit to the location.
Hopefully back again next year.
Thanks for having us

We loved our stay at the Box House Hotel - awesome location in Greenpoint, the hotel is beautiful, unique furniture and style, nice floorboards and lots of amazing decor and little details. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with a hint of luxury. The staff are absolutely amazing, we felt so special the minute we walked in and throughout our stay, I work in the hospitality industry and would hire the whole team in a heartbeat. We will be back next year!

Hello Shannon,
It is very easy to get to Manhattan from our hotel, just behind the hotel is the Pulaski Bridge where you would walk for 10 mins to the 7 train which takes you straight into Grand Central 42nd Street.
Go to the Williamsburg hotel(aka hotel Arlo for the best 4th of July rooftopping.
yes, the Hotel has king beds we have also utilizeed the Queen size beds in our Suite sections;
I only know that there is a roof top area for parties but if it can accomodate a large wedding you may have to contact the hotel directly.
