If you're staying in or near the NYC area, I recommend staying at the NU HOTEL -- not only is it conveniently located (right downtown, BK, near ALL trains to NYC, and Brooklyn happenings), it's the perfect, modern escape. It completely represents the new face of Brooklyn and the rooms also showcase the artwork of Brooklyn artists. The staff is...

Thanks for writing the great review! Always nice to hear great things from a fellow Brooklynite! I feel our best asset is the team we have put together at NU. These are a collection of people who genuinely care about being the epitome of great ambassadors to not only the hotel but Brooklyn. Nice to see our efforts recognized. We'll...

I stayed at the NU HOTEL in Brooklyn a couple of years ago and found the experience great all around from the staff to the room. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I am visiting Brooklyn again so called the NU and spoke with Katrina the hotel reservation staffer on duty. After I expressed my my preferences for dates and...

We loved the location since my brother lives on Schermerhorn only a few blocks away. It was also near Smith St. where they have superb restaurants. They have an awesome outdoor table area where you can take your beverages and your iPad outside and enjoy the 'people' watching. We stayed there for four nights and on the second day, we...

Thanks for the great overall review about your experience. We love people watching on the sidewalk cafe' as well. A great amenity we certainly value and encourage our guests to use. The restaurant and bar are open from Tuesday to Saturday. Our Front Desk team is always willing to serve beer or wine on off hours so next time don't...

Nu Hotel is a comfortable, pleasant, well located spot for a Brooklyn weekend. Close to the inspiring Brooklyn Promenade and Brooklyn Heights, and to Park Slope and other trendy neighborhoods it offers numerous eating and drinking options in close proximity. Breakfast is great, staff is helpful, parking next door is cheap 25$ a day. I am going back in the...

Thanks for the taking the time to review our hotel! You mentioned three of the most notable places in Brooklyn right now. You simply can't find the same experience in Manhattan. Glad to hear you already decided to come back for another visit. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally so I can arrange your next visit....

We stayed at Nu for one night and it was unfortunately too short. We had an amazing time. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location to visit both Brooklyn and Manhattan and, best of all transportation-wise, the hotel will let you rent these GREAT FREE BICYCLES!! Bike rental is very expensive in Brooklyn...

We appreciate the great review! We certainly know that bike rentals can be quite expensive. That's why we decided to provide bikes complimentary for our guests for the last two years. Best of all you get to ride around in style as they are designed and made locally by Brooklyn Cruisers! Thanks for the note on wear and tear. We...

This is a hotel with character, alright! Completely done up in shades of white, it is an interesting decor they have gone with. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful at all times. The hotel is very easy access of downtown shopping at Brooklyn, some great restaurants, and an easy sub-ride away to various parts of Manhattan.Cabs aren't as common...

Thanks for taking the time to write about your experience! You're speaking of our Friend/Family Suite. It's certainly one of our most popular suites. I completely understand with regards to some of the quirks in the room (curtain, sonos, etc). I actually agree and that's why we're revamping the offerings in the room in our property refresh that's taking place...

If you strip aside all the marketing hype about boutique-this, new-age-that, hip-and trendy-etc-etc., Nu Hotel is a very nice place to stay in Brooklyn for relatively not a ton of money. I kind of liked the lobby, where the check-in, check-out area consisted of two computer workstations set up at a high desk in the rear part of the lobby....

I wanted to love this hotel, for I enjoy more trendy, boutique hotels. However, it was VERY noisy. You heard the cleaning staff from 9-5 in other rooms, plus there was loud banging (from construction?) The drinks at the bar were horrible, and the bed was too soft. On the positive, the wifi was free and speedy, the outside lobby...
