We needed an affordable place to stay while visiting family in Brooklyn. The Sofia Inn is a treasure. We booked the Parlor Suite,( which had a private bathroom) and it is utterly charming and beautifully decorated...almost like a movie set of old New York. The...More
I went with family on a work related trip. We stayed in Brooklyn at the Sofia Inn. It was a cool little place that was totally 'New York' to this California girl. The whole area reminded me of a TV show. I loved that the...More
The Sofia Inn was great. It is located within walking distance of a metro stop so it made the city very accessible. I thought it was going to be weird sharing a bathroom with strangers but we never even saw the other guests. The room...More
I stayed at the Sofia Inn in February of 2016 for almost a week. The gentleman that worked there was very nice. I only wish that the second-floor bathroom was a jack and jill like the third floor; walking through the hallway in my pjs...More

No, the bathroom on the second floor is in the hallway and the bathroom on the third floor is kind of like a jack and jill bathroom. I was worried about sharing a bathroom when I got there but found that I never ran into my floormate and both were VERY clean. If you inquire about whether there will be others on your floor they will tell you and I think knowing helped! I absolutely LOVED this place and will stay there again if I ever have the chance to get back to the Brooklyn museum of work again!
