It was nice able to be in the middle of the river and overlooking the Brooklyn bridge.
Kids had a great time walking the boardwalk and swiming on the roof top overlooking lower mahattan.
We are hoping to do it again in the fall.
Amazing hotel with fantastic staff, great rooftop bar and restaurant. Would definitely recommend to everyone. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, great decor and amenities and fantastic location.
Stayed there cuz the hotel has a great location and nice roof top. But the service was just the worst!! They charged me 4700USD but the room I booked should be around 1700USD and already paid. Terrifying !!! No second visit for sure!
Excellent Hotel. Very relaxed atmosphere, views are unreal. I sent someone a photo that we took and they thought it was a picture hanging on the wall! Neighbors Cafe was great for breakfast in the morning or just to relax with a cup of coffee....More

I am not sure if it is open at Christmas, my guess is that it will be as this is a popular time to visit Manhattan. We did not stay at the hotel, just visited the roof top bar, which had spectacular view of downton manhattan and brooklyn bridge. Any room on the skyline side of the hotel would be great. There is a promenade on the water side of the hotel, popular walking, bike. The homes along the path have spectacular views, as well due to the path clearances. I don't think you would have a problem not having a view even if you were on the lower levels of the hotel. This area is beautiful, peaceful, and lush with greener, as is the hotel. We did have problem getting an uber ride at the hotel entrance, for some reason, the uber drivers had difficulty with their navigations finding the hotel entrance. This is a beautiful hotel and would definitely recommend staying here, easily accessible to subway too. The downtown DUMBO are is trendy and classy and a short walk from the hotel.
