The title says it. Arrived from Asia and have an evening event in NYC. Tried to check in after 4 PM but was told that no rooms would be available for hours. WTF! Been traveling for years and never had this happen. Will DEFINITELY not EVER book this hotel again. I strongly recommend that others not rely on the hotel.
We had a great three nights at this hotel with a large and comfortable room. The desk clerk, Estefany Sanchez, made us welcome from the moment we entered. She helped us with our car and got us into a great room right away. The hotel is close is several good restaurants, especially Gage and Tollner which is a block away. Another desk clerk, Marianna, helped us get an affordable car to go visit some Brooklyn sights in the heat of the day. A great staff made us feel very welcome!
Cannot say enough about this hotel and front desk staff. A group of us were recently in crisis due to "Snowvember "storm in Buffalo NY and were unable to travel home. This hotel staff reassured us that we would be taken care of and they were incredibly understanding and accommodating with our day to day up on the air plans to leave. Management and Staff was so helpful and kind. As this is an annual conference we will look to stay here again in the future! Thank you Ms. Sanchez and your kind co workers!! Ann B
We love Hilton properties and stay in their hotels frequently. This hotel was clean, nice staff, comfortable rooms. Maid service every other day right now. Nice bar in lobby with food. We had nice soup and steamed veggies and a burger. All was excellent. Breakfast was nice too. My only complaint was there were not enough hand sanitizer placed around the hotel and especially at the Buffett. I think all buffets should have several hand sanitizer stations and easy access hand washing since people are sharing utensils to serve up there food and then eating with their hands. All in all a nice stay.
I really enjoyed my short stay here. This was a staycation for me. This hotel is not far from public transportation, the court houses, Starbucks and shopping areas in Downtown Brooklyn. It's a quiet nook that offers some solace and respite from the busy streets of Brooklyn. I have to give accolades for Krystal and Aznaur. Krystal was courteous and friendly. She made the check in and checkout process fast and seamless. Aznaur was busy working the bar and food orders. The food was delicious. They made the stay quite enjoyable.
The entire experience was wonderful. From the front desk to bar staff to breakfast staff to housekeeping to the person who unlocked my bathroom door in the middle of the night. Friendly, professional and clean. Great location to trains, events and restaurants.I would not hesitate to stay again. Front desk especially helpful. Thanks for wonderful experience.
The hotel public areas and our rooms were spotless. Staff was incredibly helpful. We typically stay in the Lower East Side and this was our first overnight in Brooklyn. We will definitely be back and will definitely stay here again!
I booked the Hotel for my Daughter's Wedding weekend. I blocked rooms for the Wedding Party and family. The ceremony was at the Prospect Park Boathouse and the Hilton offered a great place for all of the guests to relax and hang out. We held a brunch on Sunday that was fabulous. The Suite package for the bridal Suite was spectacular as well.
Highly recommend if visiting Brooklyn Heights and adjacent communities . Near the promenade , lovely walk over the Brooklyn bridge and parks . The hotel is clean and the staff are super friendly and responsive . Morning buffet and yummy coffee . Very accessible to a parking garage that has an agreement with the hotel. We found the check in and check out process to be efficient and easy .
We had a VERY DISAPPOINTING stay at this Hilton property. It begins with calling the hotel 3 times the day before to confirm our reservation and being told 3 times we do not have a reservation. We called AMEX Platinum Travel Services (we booked through them) and they confirmed our reservation. There were no plastic water cups or bottled water in the room when we arrived. We called the front desk and went down to pick them up. The next day, housekeeping made up the room and did not replace the towels or provide new coffee packets, cups, creams, and sugars. We called the front desk, and they said they would send some up. They had not arrived by the time we left for dinner. On the way out, we interrupted the two front desk staff who were dancing and playing around with each other to ask if these items could be brought to our room. When we got back, the towels had had been delivered, but the coffee, cups, cream, and sugar had not, so we had to go down and get them. The condition of some of the towels was hold and raggedy; see photo. The room was pretty average and had a funny smell, but the bed and pillows were good and the room was quiet. Sunday was the NY Marathon, a real challenge for cabs/ride services because of street closures. Front desk should have advised us to get picked up on State or Atlantic. That advice that would have saved us AT LEAST half an hour of being stuck in traffic on Smith street in front of the hotel. The only good experience we had was at the bar; Dior the bartender makes a great cocktail and knows how to make people feel welcome. Needless to say, we won’t be going back to this property, and it’s made seriously question the Hilton brand.…
