I spent most of October at the EVEN, and having been my 5th stay, you can guess I really do like it here. Whether you’re a IHG regular or it’s your first visit you are given a warm welcome by personable and professional staff (Monique, Anastasia, Ariana and Tiffany especially!) Any issues are resolved speedily (if there are any issues ) and staff are always keen to ensure that patrons are happy. The restaurant staff are always on standby, the food was of a great standard. My room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable, the pillows to die for! Housekeeping are a great team. The location is perfect for travel, you’re a stones throw from great shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty and the Barclays centre 5 mins walk away. You have 3 subway stations to make anywhere accessible. Just be mindful that the front desk area can be a little busy during check-in , as the area is small. The gym has two floors (no pool!) and has excellent amount of equipment that is clean and operational. Thank you EVEN Brooklyn…
Our experience at this hotel started out all good. Check-in process was quick. The reception employee requested a credit card, as is normal procedure. We had booked a premium king room and were pleasantly surprised. The room was a bit larger than we had expected. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable with high quality linens. Bathroom was modern and quite sufficient. The hotel is situated in a convenient area of downtown Brooklyn that seems to be going through gentrification. There are two subway stations within 5 minutes walk of the hotel through which nearly every subway line in the city can be reached. The area felt reasonably safe, certainly during the day, but I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel for a single woman traveling alone who needs to be out and about in the evening hours using public transportation. Until a billing issue arose, I would have given this hotel a very good review. And now the bad - When I arrived home, I noticed through my bank statement that the hotel charged my credit card the sum of $1,012.80 on the day we checked in. Upon check-out, after adding a porterage fee for storing our luggage, the reception employee printed a final invoice at my request. That invoice indicated a final total of $921.15. That's $91.65 less than the charge that appeared on my credit card. Upon discovering that I have been overcharged, I immediately emailed the hotel requesting the appropriate credit. I never received a reply. I sent a second email to the hotel and still no reply. This is unacceptable behavior. And for this reason, I cannot recommend this hotel. …
Just wanted to thank Anastasia and Monique who went to great lengths to help my son in law and I when we arrived at the hotel after a 16 hour flight, exhausted and desperately looking for a room, although we had booked but not strictly eligible to check in, so we could refresh before tackling a busy business day. Between them they worked out a solution. Much appreciated 👍
Great location. Wi-Fi worked well, although my phone would not remember the network and the access code is changed on Sunday! Reception helpful sorted out safe. Cleaning good although a bit erratic when replenishing coffee/sugar etc. Room small but adequate.
I was supposed to stay but they canceled my stay because they were sold out that night. I will never book again based on that. I called the hotel and I was told that the card on my profile was declined. I have no idea what card that is since it was several years ago.
Had a great five day stay with family members. Rooms were comfortable and clean - Sanjeja was excellent! She was very friendly and took care of us well! Breakfast was awesome - much better than the standard continental breakfast. Beds were very comfy.
An overdue but important review. Wanna give a big shoutout to Anastasia who compassionately helped me switch rooms to a higher level not facing the main road. I am pretty sensitive with noise and did not realize how hard it would be to sleep on a lower floor facing the main road. After Anastasia helped me, my stay was so much nicer. Thank you! The facilities themselves are quite nice, the bed is comfortable, I enjoyed the in-room workout equipment, and am impressed with the huge gym for a hotel. I'll be sure to use this hotel again when I revisit for another business trip.
Good location, very confortable & spacious room, people working at the hotel are very nice. We have the only room with a terrasse and it was worth it… what a view. In the lobby there’s a self served mini market, it’s pretty cool if you have a crave during the night. There’s a lot of private parking space near the hotel. Special thanks to Desiree our room was perfectly clean
I stayed at the Even hotel several times, including a month-long stay. It was always a pleasure to be there - clean rooms, accessible to subways and shops. Mostly, I want to thank the warm and attentive staff, who I got to know over my repeated stays, especially Jibreel, Anastasia, Tyffany, Jose, but everyone is very pleasant. Overall, I warmly recommend the Even!
This is a great hotel in downtown Brooklyn. It's close to Barclays Center, CityPoint, Atlantic Terminal and lots of great bars/restaurants within walking distance. After staying at most of the hotels in the downtown Brooklyn area, this is definitely my favorite hotel based on location, price, room comfort, and service. If you're looking for a good hotel with excellent customer service, then look no further. The front desk is very efficient and welcoming, especially Monique, Anastasia, and Trinita. They always greet you with a smile and make sure to handle the check-in process quickly. Each time I come to the Even, it feels like home away from home. I've even had to extend my stay several times and I didn't have any problem as long as they're not sold out. They will definitely make sure that you have a wonderful stay. I'm already looking forward to my next stay!…
