Our Holland America Alaskan cruise uses the Hotel for part of the Land tour. It is very nice but not close to anything much to walk to. A few things were around but not much. A nice quaint GOOD restaurant across the side street that belong to a small hotel. Expensive but very good breakfast buffet.

Thank you for your kind review of our property. Unfortunately many of the attractions in Fairbanks are out of the downtown core outside of the Visitors Center which is fairly close. I hope you enjoyed your stay in Fairbanks and in our great State! Sincerely, Lee Halvorson General Manager Westmark Fairbanks Hotel

On a Alaska tour and this was a two day stop along the way. Room was very clean, and the staff was just wonderful. Came to see the Northern Lights, and we were no disappointed. We left our name at front desk for a wake up call if the Northern Lights were out. Without fail around 11pm we got the call that...

This is a pretty nice hotel, the appearance is great. I'd have to say this is one of the nicer hotels in Fairbanks and I would recommend staying here. My only problems I would say is the staff aren't very professional and don't give a professional appearance. I saw personnel in dingy sneakers and crazy hair. When I came to...

We stayed in a King room in the newer tower as past of our Holland America package, this was one of the nicer places we stayed. The room was exceptionally clean and the property offered many options - bar, restaurants, gift shop all at affordable prices. We loved the on property restaurant - the food was surprisingly good for a...

Stayed three nights with a group of 22 celebrating a 50th High School reunion. Westmark is a large facility for Fairbanks that seemed to cater mainly to tour groups, most of whom set off each morning on day trips. Hotel is clean and functional, but doesn’t have much character. It is located a bit out from the city center, which...

Post-cruise this hotel will work for a night before flying out. It isn't more than basic but it is clean and the bed comfortable. You can walk to local restaurants but you are not in the middle of Fairbanks attractions. If you aren't booked with a cruise package, you should stay somewhere else.

Dear Eacoy, Thank you very much for your review of our property. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your stay with us. Unfortunately Fairbanks is fairly spread out and the attractions of town are well dispersed so no hotel is really within walking distance of too many of them. Our downtown location is a 5-10...

Nice accommodations, I stayed in the newer part of the hotel. Very nice and clean. Cleaning staff was accommodating as well, wife needed extra lotion and it was no problem. Hassle free. Definitely would return. Some things were a little strange as far as locking the back entry at night but I guess they do what they have to do

This a very good hotel with a great restaurant. The hospitality desk was not very helpful.I wanted to find aurora borealis tours and they had nothing to offer,no idea at all. I went online and found it. The city has not much to offer in the way of entertainment,so it was great that they have several restaurants and bar.

We stayed here as part of a land tour package with Holland America. The hotel itself is fine, nothing to write home about but the AC/TV/etc worked just fine. We did not avail ourselves of the in-house restaurants because there was so much good food elsewhere. Check out my reviews for Thai House, The Crepery, and Fushimi. Other reviews suggested...

The hotel could use updating. The wifi is the slowest I have encountered in a long time. The staff is friendly. The food in the bar is okay, except the fries are wonderful. The continental breakfast is passable, but the lines to get through this morning were long.
