We had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before out trip to Alaska. This find turned out to be such a gem. John gave us a lovely introduction to the city with a map noting all of the highlights. You can tell that he truly loves and is passionate about hosting guests and ensuring they enjoy Fairbanks! The rooms...

The host, John, made staying at this B&B one of the best things about Fairbanks. My friends and I felt taken care of and well fed. John delighted us with stories of his amazing life. He's such a pleasant, warm-hearted guy. After trekking to Denali and seeing the northern lights late at night, it was great to get to sleep...

When you stay at Ah Rose Marie its part about your accommodation and part about the experience. Yes the rooms are very warm and clean and the bed very comfortable but there is an added bonus and thats John and his housekeeper Debbie. They are very friendly, well informed people who can give insights into daily life in Alaska or...

We were on a girls trip and I booked with John. Prior to arrival he communicated clearly, and clearly. He also gave us extra information to look into prior to arrival. If you paid ahead of time or during your deposit he sent you a back a map of the city which was cool. When we go into town he...

This location has a true character that immediately embraces every guest. John, the owner and host, craftily creates your breakfast with true enthusiasm. And the friendly feline in the main house, will greet you with a subject "meow". A seasoned Alaska home that offers each visitor their own adventure.

John is a great host and very generous with his time and advice. The B&B consists of two houses side by side. Both have been thoroughly renovated and are very clean and everything works. The beds were comfortable. Guests have the use of kitchen facilities and refrigerator space. Breakfast includes pretty much anything you might want. John's omelettes were popular...

John, the 'Innkeeper" cooked the best breakfasts every morning, and it was HEALTHY. He did provide the usual pastries/cereals/toast as well but his omelettes were delicious. We stayed in 'the green house' and had the use of a whole kitchen with 2 enormous fridges as well everything else. Fantastic place to stay!

I wanted to spend a few nights in Fairbanks; close to the centre of town, and not spend too much money. Ah Rose Marie Bed and Breakfast came up in a quick google search, and it turned out to be a good choice. It's operated by John, a man in his eighties who has an amazing knowledge of Fairbanks and...

Stayed on a recent trip to Alaska. John is a great host, and wealth of local knowledge. Took his advice on a couple of places and was pleasantly surprised. Great breakfast and comfortable room. Walking distance to several points of interest. Quiet quaint neighborhood as well.

“They have 2x 2 story buildings. If you have issues walking/climbing I would request a first floor in main house (which is where breakfast is served). If you don't have issues the green house is right next door and not an issue to walkover for breakfast in the morning.”
