We stayed for 4 night at the lodge in room 4 (downstairs). There were 4 of us total with me, my wife and our 2 kids (26 & 14). We arrived one day 1 and the room was very clean and roomy. With 4 of us sharing the room I had worried it might not have been large enough. Well... More

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. Accommodations were unbelievable. Mok made our visit very easy. Driving to the lodge was safe and clear roads. We got to see the Northern Lights on all 3 nights. Very convenient walkie-talkies in the room to notify us when the lights come out. The room was very lean and comfortable. The kitchen... More

The accommodations are clean and have everything you need in the kitchen to make your meals. I was a bit nervous because I am a person who likes to stay in luxury places--it is rustic, but for viewing the Aurora, awesome! On nights when tour groups come here to the lodge to view, Mok gets on his walkie talkie to... More

I read about this on trip advisor, and had to wait a year for an opening, because it was booked when I originally wanted to go. Booking was quite easy, and Mok was easy to work with as we sorted out the details. We flew in, got our rental car, and then headed out. The directions were flawless, guiding us... More

Mok is great! This is our second time here. We came around February two years ago, and now for New Year's Eve weekend. Absolutely lovely accommodations. This time we stayed at the Chalet and loved the privacy with the private balcony. We asked the kids (ages 12 and 14) which trip they wanted to repeat and hands down it was... More

We did not know what to expect. Never been to Fairbanks. Never tried to see aurora borealis. We liked Fairbanks. We saw northern lights -- not a foregone conclusion so be ready. Mok, the proprietor could not be nicer or more helpful. Second floor room was well situated for viewing and well equipped for being locked up in subzero weather.... More

Best lodge with the best northern light view at Clearly Summit. It’s about 30-45 mins away from town depending on the weather and road condition. It’s not the cheapest in town but it definitely worth the price and advance booking. Our other friends stayed at Chena and they totally regretted it. You will see other people and tours coming to... Mok, the owner, was very responsive to my 3 months of emails trying to get the right dates for our trip. We booked room #2 on the top floor. He greeted us shortly after our arrival and answered all our questions. Even gave me good camera hints like needing a tripod and wide angle lens. I guess I should of... More

We have just come home from a 6 night visit at the Aurora Borealis Lodge, located 20 miles north of Fairbanks. It was fantastic. We saw auroras for four of the six nights, and the two nights without were because of rain and snow. The last night we were there, the Aurora covered the sky and appeared to actually dance,... More

Words cant explain how amazing Mok is at the aurora borealis lodge. He has kept in touch with me over the past 18 months of planning our trip to fairbanks to see the northern lights! His lodge rooms have an overlooking view so you dont need to sit outside but its worth the cooler weather to get out there and... More
