I am a returning guest who was very disappointed at the lack of service during my last stay. Housekeeping has been reduced to every other day, which meant we didn’t get our room service unless we requested it. There were two plastic, and two paper cups in the room for three people. I know we could have asked for more, but if there is no daily housekeeping, the rooms should be better stocked. Especially at $440/ night plus taxes and parking. We asked for coffee for the second morning. The front desk had 1 packet left. Unfortunately I am booked for another stay in October. I’d gladly cancel, but there is no availability in the area.
Courteous team, clean property and room, great location. I was here supporting a boston marathon runner and enjoyed everything about the stay! Coffee, breakfast bar/snack bar offers great service. Housekeeping was fabulous. Front desk folks were super friendly.
My family and friends spent numerous nights at the hotel for my son and daughter in laws wedding and used several rooms. They overcharged us. Their billing and reservations were complicated so I called in advance to make sure I reserved the correct number of rooms. We were charged for an additional room because the hotel made a mistake. I spent hours explaining that we did not request or use a room that they charged us for. They tried to put the burden on me. They were unprofessional in handling the dispute. In addition, when we were there, the front desk was chaotic, they did not provide maid service on Sunday (and did not notify the guests ahead of time) and they double charged a family member but fixed it after she called to complain. I wonder how many others they overcharge. Also, there were two people including me that left a phone charger in our rooms and they both disappeared. I am very disappointed with this branch of the hotel.…
Clean and comfortable room but needs update (shows little wear) Lovely lobby and sitting area. Professional staff and an excellent location to explore the Brookline neighborhood. It’s near great cafes and restaurants! We had a great stay!
Recently we had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Courtyard Mariott in Brookline. We spent two nights there, as we had medical appointments at a nearby hospital. We would not use the word pleasant to describe our stay there. The room was fine, but the window looked on to a major construction site. There was noise from morning to evening, trucks backing up, things thrown in big trash containers etc. All sorts of noise that you don't expect in a nice hotel such as the Marriot. And if this was the only thing, I probably wouldn't complain too much. But it wasn't. There was such lack of attention to detail, that I was shocked at the price we paid to be guests in this dirty dump! The hallways were clean, but our room needed more attention than it was given before we arrived. There were rings on the side tables, left from glasses that had been placed there. The refrigerator leaked onto the floor in front of it. And the bed was pure torture for us. Hard mattress and hard pillows. Very uncomfortable. Besides, a good dusting would have been necessary to the room. The bathroom was equally dissatisfying. Not only was the shower door filthy, but we had to ask for hand soap which was not provided. Also, a light was burned out on the mirror. When we returned from our appointment, we came back to a room which was in the same condition we left it in the morning. Bed was not made, trash was not removed, and towels were not replenished! I have never stayed at the Courtyard Mariott before but will NEVER stay there again! It is totally overpriced for what they promise. We were charged for parking, which is also something that I don't understand. Must be because it's in the city. All in all - an experience that I would not want to repeat! And to pay for it as well, is laughable! My back still hurts from sleeping on that BOARD they call a mattress! Sincerely, Travelers from Maine…
During the 6 days we were here the hallways smelled as if they were overtly hotboxed. Our room smelled like weed was seeping through the doorways. Staff did not even presume to act as of they were going to find the culprit. Just said that is was impossible to tell where the smell came from (even though cleaning service could 100% tell where it came from based off the rooms they cleaned). To the hotel's credit they did move our room to a separate floor, only to have that hallway smell of weed two nights later. Normally I would not care as much, but given that I am pregnant, I did not want to pay so much for a good night's sleep only to get myself high. Finally, upon leaving, we saw a mouse partying it up by the lounge seats in the entrance. (Two feet away from my feet). The concierge did nothing but look amused at that. This was not our first time staying at this hotel, we have been here before and used to choose it for its location, but this is the first time we have had such a dreadful experience and unfortunately means we wont dare to stay here again.…
I had things stolen from my room. Representatives at several levels of this Courtyard franchise repeatedly told me that I must not have closed my door securely, and that “they can’t be responsible for actions of a third party.” They told me at least three times that their insurance company would contact me. I never heard from anyone.
It's an old hotel with dirty stained shower curtains/tub, air conditioner box units, and basically microwave breakfast options. Staff is friendly. Room was clean and bathroom mirror good for makeup. Wouldnt stay longer than a night or two for work trip. Will go elsewhere next time.
Thought I was going to stay one night while friend had surgery but ended up spending 5 nights. Room was fine, only complaint was a slow drain in the bathroom sink. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I would stay here again.
Stayed here during 2nd week of October. Rooms were dirty. My room smelled strongly of weed. Front desk refused to change the room. I had to open the window of the room at night, while outside temp was 45. Hallways were dirty. Furniture is very dated. Customer service is hopeless. Forget about getting room turned over, they don't have courtesy to bring any supplies to your room. Front desk staff will tell you rudely to come and pick them up yourself. This is on top of horrendous and abhorrent charges that you have to pay. Overall a disgusting experience
