I'm a fan of Hiltons but not this one. We booked 1 night while traveling, but knew right away that this was a bad decision. The hotel is more of a college dorm located across the street from a tech college. It's worn out, banged up and dirty. The entrance to our building was behind the dumpsters, and the hall carpets were dirty and every door was marked up and damaged. But it got worse. Our room was filthy. There was old food on the floor, sticky furniture, cushions so worn that they should have been sent to the trash, fingerprints on the appliances, windows, and every hard surface. The manager was very nice, said she wouldn't charge us and let us check out. The Hilton Guest Services were polite but did nothing for us. Just don't expect this to be a typical Hilton. Don't stay here.…
The Homewood Suites are a little outside the historic district but a short ride to save a lot of money was worth it. Even during the Pandemic they made our stay comfortable with friendly service and some simple breakfast. Coffee and tea is always available in the lobby which is a nice way to start or end a day. Plenty of stores surrounding the area so it was a good find. The TripAdvisor reviews helped us decide to stay here and we're glad we did.
Great stay if you like resting and relaxing after finding random drugs in the hallway, over-head showers from the leaking ceiling, adjustable shower heads that might fall out of the wall, premium mold-colored wallpaper, friendly roaches that will keep you company, and that sweet-sweet aroma of musk. I’ll definitely recommend to people I don’t like.
This by far was the worst stay at a Homewood Suites I have ever had. Upon arrival we found most of the common spaces were tired, dirty and needed maintenance. Our room in Building 1, especially the bathroom shower room had noticeable water damage on the ceiling and was not fully cleaned. The room furniture was tired and need replacement in our room. There was noticeable dust on the walls and on the ceiling in the bedroom surrounding the ceiling fan. The exterior windows were poor quality, dirty and needed a good cleaning. Several lights in our room did not work and upon arrival the lamp shades in the room were all askew. The room walls and ceiling are paper thin and we heard the adjacent guests and guests from above us most of the evening. The entrance/exit door to the parking lot at times was left ajar and did not lock fully. In the dining room - breakfast space most if not all the chairs were dirty and stained. During our stay I noted many members of the US military staying there. It is a real shame the Hilton name is on this particular property, as the quality and cleanliness of the hotel is not up to par for not only us as a Hilton Honors member, but for those soldiers who serve our country proud. I highly recommend not staying at this Homewood Suites. Choose another Hilton property in Savannah as this hotel is in very poor condition. The pictures on the Hilton webpage clearly do not represent the actual condition of the hotel.…
Roaches and horrible smell. I changed my room twice and was exhausted due to extensive travel. I didn't want to change my room a third time and move my belongings up and down the stairs. If this property is corporate-owned, Hilton should be ashamed!!!
For the price this hotel is in dire need of a renovation. From loud air vents, stained tubs and toilet and peeling wallpaper. The sofa in my room number 175 has clearly been around for some time. I was not comfortable sitting anything on it.
Rooms are dirty. Furniture dirty and stained. Refrigerator’s don’t work.especially the ice maker’s. And overall I didn’t feel safe. People hanging outside the building smoking weed. I use to look forward to staying at this location. But I won’t be back.
The hotel was not in a very good area. (I didn’t know prior to booking). The hotel staff was very rude - not friendly. I had to ask for my Diamond perks - we get water and a snack. Only water was offered. Room was pretty big. I would not return to this hotel.
I didn’t see this hotel on Oyster so I took a chance… bad move….Never again… Please pay attention when you have huge polar opposites in reviews. (Consistently brief 5 star ratings, Along with consistent lengthy 1-2 star). This usually means the hotel may be trying to push up the curve. This is the case with this hotel. Why? Lobby Review: The lobby is magnificently decorated in an upgraded fashion. The breakfast was pretty good and stays til 10am. Only concerns were some staining on the fabric chairs. Staff: Very helpful and pleasant, incredibly responsive to problems to get them resolved all the while courteous especially given the circumstances. Quickly helped me switch rooms when the first one was unbearable upon my first inspection. Breakfast attendant was amazing in keeping that place in order. Location: You are NEAR a mall with Macys! Can’t beat that! The area is “okay.” There are 3 separate residential buildings on the property which are detached from the lobby building where you check in/out or eat breakfast. There is access to the lobby breakfast area from each building. Unfortunately the entry way concrete is in need of pressure washing. Our access was building 1 right near a dumpster so naturally there seemed to be a lot of wet sticky concrete areas to go in/out. Room accommodations review: In their defense, a sign was posted that housekeeping was not available on Saturday and Sunday. Problem is, I checked in on a Friday night so I expected all to be in order before the weekend as that day was not posted as unavailable for housekeeping. I rate the room: Fair/ Poor condition. Why? Yes everything is dated and many small/fine details that are usually cleaned in a standard hotel room were found dirty. Dated furniture isn’t an issue if everything is clean and functional. Problems: Musky smell, Dirty Vents, dirty AC closet door (dust accumulation on the inserts), couches dirty, bathroom corners /baseboards with brown moisture stains behind toilet, paint pealing off the bathroom ceiling, dirty grout throughout bath floor, kitchen area floor (sticky with unknown red substance), bedroom lights/lamp didn’t work. Final remarks: Would I stay there again? Not in the double bed suite with fire place unless it has been renovated or at minimum deep cleaned. Perhaps they have smaller rooms available with less wear & tear that are in better condition but reviews less me too believe otherwise. I got this unit because of the breakfast, the spacious room and kitchen option. In the end, for $144 per night, I rather get a basic hotel with no kitchen and no breakfast as long as it is clean.…
We stopped for one night on our way to Orlando. We checked in and upon entering the room the first thing I saw was a roach crawl across the kitchen cabinet. At the same time I had a powerful musty smell slap me in the face. I proceeded to take pictures of the horrors of this room. There was blood stains on the actual mattress under the bed sheet because I always check for bed bugs. There was stains virtually every direction you’d look in the room. I could not believe this was a Hilton property. I proceeded to provide feedback to the Hilton customer service email. I was told that a manager would reach back out to me. Since that was two weeks ago, I’m doubting that’ll happen until I post this review. We went next door to the Hampton Inn and Suites, which was a fantastic stay!
