I visited Savanah for an impromptu girls trip. Upon our arrival, we encountered a problem with the room. I called the front desk and spoke with the manager. Without any hesitation, Glenn, the manager, jumped right into action. We were transferred into a room and were given the best of service. He even followed up with us to make sure that we were comfortable and adjusted. I would definitely come back. I think I've found my comfort spot!!!
We stayed here for three nights this month. Wonderful service. Beautiful venue. Our favorite was the hotel restaurant and lounge. The staff was amazing and provided impeccable service. We dined in the restaurant at least 3 different times. Room was perfect. Balcony could have used an upgrade.
Savannah was gorgeous. This hotel is near the river. Plenty to explore in the area. Hop on the Ferry (free) for added adventure. My company came here to host our meeting. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Glenn and Isaiah. Glenn checked me in. I asked for a recommendation for food, it was after Midnight. My co worker and I just got in on a late and delayed flight. We were both tired and hungry. We ordered some pizza from Stoners pizza nearby. It was perfect for the late night meal. Glenn was very conversational and made us feel very welcomed. The Room (6th Floor-facing the Atrium) I had a room with two beds. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also clean and modern. I had a balcony with two chairs and a small table to sit out in the atrium and enjoy the view. The room came with a refrigerator and coffee maker. There was not a microwave in the room. I think there was one in the market area. Iron and Ironing board provided. Plenty of drawer space. There was no in-room safe that I saw. You were also provided with lavender spray for your pillows to promote sleep. Tech and plugs There were plenty of USB Ports and plugs throughout the room. No issues there. Wi-Fi is complimentary for Marriott Bonvoy members (do not forget to sign up). I was doing work on the complimentary Wi-Fi with no issues. There is a channel guide on the TV. You can sign in to your YouTube or Netflix on the TV. They also have a channel on the tv for sleep sounds (Beach, Rain, Firewood), to help you fall asleep. Along with the ability to dim the tv so it is not so bright. Bathroom Was spacious. In my room, I just had a shower. They provide Shower Gel, Shampoo, Conditioner and Lotion. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. Shower was nice and hot. Housekeeping My room was cleaned every day and I was thankful for that. Most hotels you have request when you want service. This was a nice added normality to my stay. Meeting Space (The Plaza and Savannah Ballroom D) The meeting space was nice. Our group had breakfast, lunch (light), dinner and cocktails throughout our time. There are restrooms right near the Savannah Ballroom breakouts. The breakfast we had was fresh and tasty. We had fresh fruit, eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage, pastries with fresh juices, tea and coffee. I asked for some hot sauce and the banquet team got that for me (Thank you). We had dinner and a cocktail hour, everything was delicious. Compliments to the chef and their team. The gentlemen that did our hosted bar was nice and made a great suggestion for a drink. The lunch on Thursday was just missing a few utensils for the potato salad, which I requested our banquet team to retrieve. They did so quickly. The Lunch was good and fresh, along with the desserts and breaks. Restaurant/ Bar/ Breakfast at Blue The waitress was great. There were a lot of people having lunch, so given service was a little slower. It was more than likely not anticipated for the large group. The servers were polite and calm especially with that many people. In the evening the bar tenders were great especially with two groups in the bar. They did a great job on getting everyone drinks as requested. Breakfast was good. I had the Brioche French Toast with eggs and bacon. The eggs were added, as that meal does not come with eggs. My only recommendation if you are staying on the atrium side is to request ear plugs. When people are at the bar, the sound carries making it difficult to sleep. The night of my arrival I called to ask for a Shower Cap, Isaiah said they did not have any. I was confused because it was a request on the Bonvoy app. I asked again, you do not have shower caps? No. I worked for both Marriott and Hilton and most hotels carry shower caps. I proceeded to start an Instacart order to get a shower cap at 1 am! Before finalizing my order, I called down to the front desk again and I got Glenn (the one who checked us in) and I asked him for a Shower Cap. He said they had them, I told him about what the previous gentlemen said. I guess the other gentlemen was newer, understandable. Glenn brought the shower caps to my room!!!! I was so thankful for him 🙏🏽It really made the night/morning for this weary traveler. They do not have any special coffee drinks on site (Starbucks, or anything to get a Latte, Cappucino, etc). I would recommend Stevedore’s Bakery (Thomson Hotel- back) a short 5-10 minute walk. I tried the Oatmilk Latte with Maple Sage and vanilla Syrup. Overall a great stay and would recommend on a future trip. Thank you Glenn for your hospitality!…
Two different stays within a couple of months. 20 nights in total. Would not recommend. Next time I will definitely be choosing another hotel. Poor service. Really bad breakfast. Noisy AC. very dark room. The worst laundry service I have had in a hotel. On the positive side, spacious suite and ok bed, but for the night rates, really disappointing.
I lived in Savannah for six years and always look forward to coming back for a visit. I only wish I'd discovered Magnolia Spa sooner. The spa manager Johnnie truly took our vacation to the next level. I've gone to many spas and the guest service has never stood out to me as it did with Magnolia Spa. From start to finish, Johnnie went above and beyond. I first spoke with her when I called to book our visit for our group. She took the time to go through different options we could select to customize our visit; leading up to our trip, she stayed in touch to make sure it was a seamless experience. We had a fabulous time on the day of, complete with mimosas organized by Johnnie; sauna; and absolutely incredible massages. Two of us were with Johnnie, and the other two with Susanna. I look forward to coming back to Magnolia Spa during my future visits. Aside from the guest service and amenities, the spa was pristine and relaxing. I just had a 50-minute massage, needed some distressing! Johnnie Nesbit was wonderful! One of the best massages I’ve ever had. She listened to my concerns and focused on my needs. I highly recommend her! Not much more I need to say!!!!!!!!!!
This hotel is expansive and right on the water. You can see cargo ships go by from the balcony. There is a spa here. If is close the river walk. Rooms are big and quiet. There is a nice bar and offers food and room service til 11 pm. There is an attached parking garage too.
The Magnolia spa was a highlight, much thanks to the awesome staff. I took advantage of the Out of Town package and received a 50-minute massage and 25-minute facial. It was soo relaxing. Massage therapist Jonnie and esthetician Erin provided fantastic service with southern charm.
My sister and I had another wonderful experience at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront for our annual girls' weekend. The Magnolia Spa was the highlight of our stay. Johnnie, Sommer, Audrey and Erin made our visit relaxing and memorable. Johnnie is an excellent Spa Manager and personally ensured our experience was a pleasant one with her usual grace and warm hospitality. We dined in the hotel restaurant one evening, and Nathan was our server. He was helpful and attentive. Our compliments to the room service team, front desk and housekeeping. Thank you for a memorable stay!
I don’t usually leave reviews but I can’t say enough good things about Nathan who was our server. He made sure our dining experience was everything we expected when we dined in. There was a little mix up with our food but it was promptly corrected and absolutely delicious! Thanks Nathan!
