Stayed here for 3 nights in November. As they don't have king size beds we had opted for singles. Our first impression on arrival was positive and remained so for the duration of our stay. The front desk people, the Concierge and porters were very professional and courteous at all times. Complimentary wine and cheese in the lobby each evening...

We were in Savannah for 2 night on our way back home from a cruise. The rooms were nice, the staff was great, but the location being right downtown is what makes it. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. They have access to a parking garage for $15 per day and valet service, and trust me...

We were in town for my daughters wedding. A party of nine stayed in this hotel. My room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The wine and cheese in the evening was very nice. The breakfast wasn't the best, more like you would get at a Motel not a historic hotel. The coffee and juice were great the...

The Planter's Inn is a beautiful property located in the historic district of Savannah. You can walk to River Street and many other places you would want to see. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed linens were comfy and cozy. The staff was very kind and helpful with all we needed. Our heat was not working properly and...

The Planters Inn has been through a lot of refurbishments over the years – my wife compared it very favourably to a stay she had 30 years ago! But the building (and the location in the historic downtown preservation area) limit what can be done. The building footprint is very cramped and that is reflected on the inside. The foyer/reception...

Met and exceeded our expectations. While we did not see any ghosts (ok, not expecting that one) we had a lovely room in one of the most beautiful and classically Savannah hotels imaginable. The happy hour every evening allowed us to mingle with other fun and interesting guests, and the hostess Karen was awesome ! She was charming, informative, and...

We arrived very late and were greeted with open arms. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was yummy, even if the room it was served in was cramped. The location is excellent for exploring Savannah and I very much appreciated the cheese and wine reception from 5:30pm. Overall I was impressed. The bathroom was a little dated and the...

Lobby small but lovely and decorated very nicely for Christmas. Staff was consistently very helpful and pleasant. Room very nice and quiet and tastefully decorated. Quiet. Great location. There are no views from rooms - rooms face a parking garage. In the publicity photo it's only the portion with white 'awning' area that's the actual building. May be a few...

Alternate review title: 'Rooms That Are Lit Up All Night By a Noisy Parking Garage.' Only book a room here if you're willing to make a phone reservation ensuring that you don't end up facing the brightly lit, noisy parking garage where the curse words of drunk people echo loudly at 2:00 am, and 3:00 am, and 4:00 am. I...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
To sleep in the epicenter of the city's beautiful historic district, book some time here, on Reynolds Square. The Planters Inn offers elegant rooms, great service, and a jovial wine and cheese reception where people linger each afternoon. For a view, ask about one of the rooms overlooking Reynolds Square Park. Better yet, step outside the inn and get lost among the azaleas and architecture. Just make it back for your dose of wine and cheese. ... more   less
