The second time staying at this location. It’s a clean and nice hotel. Good location where you can walk along the river. Down side is the parking, but the do have a good Valet (Luis). Will stay here again in the future
We stayed in Savannah just for one night on our road trip to Florida . The hotel was easily accessible and very clean . Our room was comfortable and spotless . Complementary breakfast was served buffet style with helpful personnel . Everyone was wearing masks and disposable gloves that were provided for guests too. We were very happy. Location was on the river street but just out of the loud part and we got to see container ship sailing on the river . Kids were very exited .
Hotel on the river. Lots of construction . Hotel charges 45 a night for valet parking in a standard self park lot across small street. C'mon man . Looks like the lot will be replaced with new construction. Hilton must need the $. Can't take dog to roof top area . Kitchenette had a good fridge but no bowls , platesgorks spoons etc only 2 knives. You can do better
Being part of Hilton and costing $350 on a Sat night ($150 for Sunday) I was expecting less room (due to location) but minimalist and clean. Went with my husband and two children. Sorry, but the room was dirty, mismatched and appears to be operating on a shoestring budget with minimal money going in to the rooms. The room just felt dirty when one entered. Smudges that make my skin crawl, but I always bring clorox and windex. However, the pull out couch that my kids slept on had an orange (Cheetos?) spot indicating the mattress cover was not cleaned in-between which makes me wonder if the blanket they were sleeping under had recently been washed. Our bed quilt covering was well-worn but I saw not marks on. Ugh though. Looking through the kitchen, there were two mismatched glasses but 4 plates etc. I called the front desk to ensure I would not be charged and their statement was (no name was given by said person) "you won't be charged, people take stuff all the time and we put back what we have in stock." There were mugs, but still. Towels. This was the most disappointing to me. They had 3 sets of towels in the room but we had 4 people (known from registration). I had my 9 yo son use a hand-towel to dry off with and my husband went without using a facecloth. I called our first day for towels. I called the second day for towels (1 towel & 5 facecloths). I called an hour later. Called again. We did end up getting 3 sets of towels at that point that were warm, so I guess they did not have enough. In short, nice location but don't expect more. Some front desk staff super friendly, others like a wet noodle.…
The room was clean and spacious. However, between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM Friday and Saturday night they had a DJ playing obnoxiously loud bass thumping music in the Roof Top Bar the floor above our room, making it impossible to sleep. We had an early day the next day. We complained to the front desk, and they took $40 off our bill. That was insulting to us, when we were paying $275 a night.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Check in was smooth. The room was clean and quiet. Nice balcony facing the river. Julie at the roof top bar was incredible. So friendly and provided great service. Dori was also very helpful in planning our tour of the city.
My husband and I stayed here for three nights while visiting Savannah. The first night (New Year’s Eve), we were in room 312, a courtyard view room. The next two nights were were in 512, a king suite with balcony and river views. Both were nearest the interior corner of the courtyard side of the hotel. The room descriptions were accurate; we couldn’t see the river from the 3rd-floor room but we could from floor 5. We found the hotel to be convenient and well-cared-for. We were contacted by the hotel through the Hilton app before our arrival, and were asked if they could answer any questions for us. That allowed us the opportunity to find out how our room switch would go (they moved our luggage for us), and for them to note it in our record. The beds and pillows were comfortable and everything in the room was in proper working order. Being on the courtyard side meant that the rooms were quiet (on the opposite side of busy Bay Street), and we didn’t hear noise from above or below us. Even on New Year’s Eve, it was very quiet. Breakfast and the rooftop bar were nice to have. We knew about the $42 valet parking charge, and while not cheap, it was $25 to park on River Street for a visit, so I didn’t feel it was a terrible price for the proximity to attractions, like a trolley stop, ghost tour boarding, restaurants, and shops, plus being right on the river. Pros: Typical Homewood Suites rooms and breakfast, friendly and professional staff, location. Rooftop bar also has some menu offerings available. Cons (minor): Because of construction, the only way to walk to Bay Street (or to the nearby Pirate’s House restaurant) is up a steep cobblestone street. Construction near the hotel would affect views and possibly noise levels on one side of the hotel. The bar food menu in room had different offerings and prices than the menu obtained by the QR code from the rooftop tables. There was sometimes a backup for the valet parking entry. Overall, I’d stay here again, especially with one of the quiet courtyard-area rooms.…
Nice location Great rooftop bar and heated pool Construction noise next door that we were made aware of My husband fixed toilet (which is normal behavior for him) Bed sheets were small for bed but blankets ( extra) were provided Good breakfast Conceriege was attentive and helpful I would stay there again and was good value for the money Rooms were not cleaned daily so coffee packets were not available for more than one day Full send frig was nice Had stove top and kitchen utensils Walk in shower nice size and water was hot which I like
Hotel has an amazing location! It’s close to everything and right on River Street with views of the river. The rooftop bar made our experience! There was construction happening but the hotel lets you know this ahead of time. Parking is expensive so be prepared. I will say that I expected a little bit higher quality rooms. We had a king suite with a river view. This hotel allows pets and the first night my throat was sore and I was having a reaction to either a dog or cat having been in the room. There was still pet hair in the carpet in some spots. The kitchen had not been cleaned very well and the fridge had water just sitting inside. There are lots of dings and scratches on the walls and decor throughout the hotel. They need to step it up if they want to keep their rating.
Very nice hotel. The valet parking attendants were very nice and helpful. Considering the cost of the room we were surprised that the pillows were not very good. There were a couple minor issues with the room which we informed the front desk about when we were leaving. I would agree with other views the desk could be a little more friendly. The hotel is a good walk from the district which we knew as we have stayed in Savannah many times. We like trying new hotels when we go but we found this one a bit pricier then others considering everything. We really liked the music and the lady serving deinks at the roof top bar. Very scenic view.
