It's an overall decent property, but for the pice, they can offer much more. Location is great; right across from the river. It's right next to Reynold's Square and the Olde Pink House Restaurant. One can easily walk to all 22 squares in the historic district. The room I stayed was just a usual Holiday Inn room; nothing exceptional. It was clean enough. The cleaning people didn't clean our room after the first night, so we came back after a long day of touring to a room that was not made up. We told the front desk, and we were told that room cleaning was every other day. We weren't told this when we checked in. They did however send someone to clean the room when we told them that we wanted our room made. Breakfast was nothing to write home about; I'd give it 5 out of 10. One of two elevators didn't work, which made for a long wait in the mornings and evenings. The one that worked made a rattling noise like it was going to drop down. Parking is $45 per night with in and out privileges. There's a parking garage right next door for $20 per day or $2 per hour. The Breakfast ladies and front desk were always nice. For $315 a night, I expected more. Would I stay again, probably yes, but that's due to the location .

A wonderful HIE property. I was in Savannah for business for week. This is a great hotel for a multi night stay. It’s close to both business locations as well as restaurants and attractions. The staff were nice. I, especially, appreciate the staff who worked the valet parking. My room had a brilliant view of the River. Go enjoy Stay with confidence

Very nice hotel centrally located. Just there one night. Staff were amongst the best we have experienced and we had great room with a view of the river. City parking garage next door was full so we valet parked, extremely convenient and super service but $45 for an overnight a bit steep, but that may just be Savannah pricing as parking can be challenging. Breakfast was included lots of pastries and baked stuff but cooked items a bit tasteless (ladies in the dining room very attentive). Definitely recommend and will be back!

My sisters and I just got back from a trip and couldn’t be more pleased with this hotel and all of the staff, especially Gail in the eating area who was our friend and Theresa at the front desk. Gail even gave us her special recipe called peach corn muffins. Hehehe

This Holiday Inn Express was a great choice for a moderately priced hotel right in the middle of Savannah's Historic District, easy walking distance to the riverfront entertainment district and riverboat docks in one direction, and a wide array of cute shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants in the other. It's located in a safe part of town, central to most attractions. The pros: Welcoming and considerate staff, ample breakfast options, central and safe location, high levels of cleanliness, large renovated rooms with amenities such as mini fridges, nice water pressure and temp control in shower, nice outdoor rooftop spaces. The cons: Thin doors allow in light and noise (avoid rooms on left corner of building as they abut housekeeping closet and come with noise from staff coming and going continuously), rooms were not serviced automatically - only on request, hard, lumpy pillows and scratchy, lower end linens, outdated equipment in fitness room, hot breakfast items were salty/runny and unappetizing, AC compresser in room ran loudly all night like an old fridge, significant street noise in rooms facing river / front of building.

$700 for 2 nights over spring break, but only worth the cost of a motel. Bath towels were tiny, thin and hard. I've never seen small bath towels in a hotel room. You cannot call downstairs as the phone does not get picked up in the evening. Most likely understaffed. Wine glass was not allowed to be sent to room only a plastic cup which I had to go fetch downstairs myself. I was told it's because customers steal them. (That's the clientele you have staying here.) No luggage rack in the room. Hallways look worn and the rooms are basic. Our room had a strong odor of men's perfume when we checked in. The smell stayed for 2 days. Noisy if you have a room along the road. 12pm and still noisy from party people. No lounge area to sit and relax. Small bar area downstairs that looked miserable. Breakfast area was ok! Positive is that the bed was comfortable and the staff were all very nice and working hard! The valet guys were wonderful, the front desk ladies were doing a lot and wearing many hats, the lady serving breakfast went above and beyond with her friendliness, the bar tender was nice! I have not stayed in a Holiday Inn for years. I won't stay at one again and I would not stay here again!

Awesome place. They take the time to be nice to you. All employees were great. Especially Justin Cutter. A valet whose service was above and beyond any valet I have ever dealt with. Kudos to Justin. There are also many good restaurants and bars in the area.

Very goodl location. Parking 45 dollars a night. Bathroom could use a re-do and cleaning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only one luggage cart, they said the rest were stolen. ( why don't you replace them ASAP). Breakfast used to be included, now the same menu at 16 bucks per person, so we went out each morning to a regular breakfast spot. The room was noisy with the trucks passing below. We usually stay at the larger Holiday Inn on Bay but the reservationist messed up the address and we were not going to try to straighten that out. The hotel on bay is more central but the other location was fine. Make sure you check your bill at check out, lots of mistakes.

After a day full of delays and poor airline customer service, we checked in at 3 am. Dominique was working the front desk and was friendly and kind. Even though valet was on their lunch, Dominique helped get my car checked in. The hotel itself is clean and well kept and in the perfect location to explore historic Savannah by foot.

I should have done more research because being on the 3rd floor city-side you are right above a VERY busy street. The traffic started in earnest around 6:30am. The windows are single pane so it sounds like they are open. It is unbearably noisy. Higher floors might be OK, or riverside rooms are likely fine, but low floors are a total no-go unless you really love the sound of traffic. Room was fine, modern and clean. Breakfast was great except that by putting the egg/sausage/biscuit warmers behind plexiglass, the lids won’t stay up and there is no where to put your plate, so you need a buddy to hold the lid open to get any food. They should just play the music from Curb Your Enthusiasm while people struggle with a task that clearly needs three arms. I asked the staff if there was a trick to getting food and they said “no it’s always been this way”. I have two more days here, and then my ordeal will be over. Wish me luck.
