The Thunderbird was a great place to stay. The price was great, the service was great and it was close to the places we wanted to visit. Donna at the front desk was super helpful and was always friendly and ready to answer questions. I would stay here again! Thanks!

We've stayed here twice now and we love it. It's about a block from the place where you can board the Old Towne Trolley. For being so close to downtown, you can't beat the price. It's old, but clean... I love the retro decor. The staff is also really friendly. We've never had one issue with anything. The bathroom is...

My wife and I traveled here for our anniversary and we loved the location to all of Savannah. Once we pulled in the parking lot, we didn't move our car until we left. The moon pies were a great touch and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful to tourists. I would recommend staying here, especially for anyone...

When we first saw the low price and the location, we were concerned we were setting ourselves up to be murdered. However, I honestly can't say enough good things about this stay. First of all, for a 50-year-old budget motel, this one is in great condition and I could tell they're doing the absolute most with what they have. All...

Hey so, I stayed at this motel and it was a great value during the Savannah music festival. I think it was ~$100/night. Now this is a motel. In fact it doesn't look like much from the outside. They've done the best they can with an old motel facade. So I give them props. Inside your room, there is a...

Family of three adults stayed at the Thurderbird on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Found our room clear and comfortable. Not really big but about what you would expect. We had no problem with noise. Room was clear, very comfy bed and pillows. Staff was nice and helpful. There was no microwave in the room but we wanted oatmeal for breakfast.(...

The retro theme drew us in, the friendly staff, comfortable beds, and the most excellent location sold us. We visited Savannah during the storm that blew up the east coast this Thanksgiving (2014), and ended up staying there instead of driving further north as we planned. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants, the museums we decided to visit,...

The beds are clean and comfortable, service is friendly and the amenities are great. Location is really excellent - convenient to all of downtown Savannah. The retro style is presented as an "experience," but honestly, for me, it was not a big factor. However, this was certainly an adequate hotel for the price. There isn't much in this price range...

Great visit. Retro type of place. RC colas and moon pies waiting for you in arrival. Very clean room and bath; comfortable beds. Plenty of towels and toiletries. No noise through the wall, although I knew there was a party next door. Staff was pleasant, their knowledge of area and access to information was quick and helpful. I'll be staying...

Great place... great location, and the best staff ever! For location and price you can not beat it. Loved being downtown and close to the river. Would recommend to anyone who is budget minded but wants to be in the middle of the action and wants a super experience in a Retro Motor Lodge right out of the late 50's,...
