Hotel Bardo Savannah garners high praise for its ample amenities, including a stunning pool and a top-tier spa, which, along with its prime location, make it an ideal spot for a leisurely Savannah getaway. The hotel's unique ambiance and luxurious decor contribute to its welcoming atmosphere. While the rooms offer luxury and generally excellent service, some guests have encountered issues with availability and upkeep. While the cleanliness is consistently lauded, opinions on value are mixed, with some concerns about service quality in relation to the price.

Very good experience. The hotel itself is brand new and impeccably maintained, from the maid service in the rooms to the pool person mopping up water to prevent falls (note: tile is slippery!) .
Customer service is impeccable. I had an issue with my original room and the air conditioning. After the maintenance man came out two times and could not get it resolved, he took it upon himself to not only get me a new room but bought me the keys and a bellhop - All within 10 minutes.
The location itself is more where the locals are and not in the touristy center of restaurants, shopping, etc. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're looking for. But they do have a car service six days a week that will drive you to most of the city.
Prices of drinks, spa are of course inflated but you would get that at any hotel.
I don't see any need to look elsewhere for a hotel when I return to lovely Savannah.

This hotel was recently featured in “Garden & Gun” magazine and a photographer friend of mine had also just been there for a wedding. My daughter and I came to visit a college and I really wanted to stay here even though the price was a little high. Long story short-we stayed the first tonight of our trip in a very mediocre hotel and the next morning we checked out and came to Hotel Bardo. I called at the very last minute and they literally vent over backwards to get us in a room with two beds, overlooking the park and we were able to check in early. The grounds are seriously intoxicating. Every where you look is like Candy for the eyes. The hospitality at the hotel was unbelievable. From the second we walked up we were greeted “welcome home” The bedding, towels and toiletries in the bathroom are all top notch. It would be hard for me to ever stay somewhere else in Savannah! Hotel Bardo please don’t change!!!

Hotel Bardo was magical. I am big on ambiance, and this place has it in spades! The design is unique, thoughtful while also being warm and welcoming. You just just want to linger and explore all the details to take it all in... Our family of 4 kicked off the summer with a 4 night stay and we even brought our dog Goose. The staff was so friendly, they set up a scavenger hunt for the kids (ages 9 & 12) and had goodies for our pup. We felt so welcomed and enjoyed seeing other families there as well. The pool side drinks and menu were delish, drinks in the Green Room before dinner was amazing, ask about the rolodex!, and Dinner at Saint B was top notch, the dessert custard with greens was unbelievable! The location of the hotel is perfect. We drove from Wisconsin, but if we had flown, there would be no need to rent a car at this location. Everything is walkable and lots to do close by. We ran around Forsyth Park in the mornings, walked down to the river walk a few times to watch the barges pass, and explored the many historical sites along the way. We found an Oak tree that is older than the Country itself, seeded in early 1700's. Tybee Island beach is only 30 mins away with pretty sand beaches, but we only went there once... the hotel pool was just too alluring and relaxing that we ended up spending most of our afternoons poolside. We also borrowed the Hotel's bikes for quick ride through several parks down to see an exhibit at SCAD, highly recommend! If you are looking for a hip hotel without all the annoying pretention, that you will enjoy as much as your kids, this is the place. The design of the hotel is creative and stunning, unexpected, and yet every staff made you feel so at home.

My only negative was seeing dogs on the pool deck, one of which barked at some other guests and he wasn't leashed. I didn't think that was good pet owner etiquette or very sanitary... We left our dog in the room or let him hang on the front "porch" from our suite that opened up to the pool, but he was behind a fence and is well mannered!

We were excited to stay for 5 nights and booked a one bedroom suite, the floor plan of which was quite specific with a separate bed and lounge area. On arrival, equivalent rooms were unavailable and a series of alternatives were presented, none of which matched the expectations that had been set. The staff promised to find a solution, but ultimately presented the original room, so the booking was cancelled and we found another 5* hotel nearby. The staff were quite pleasant but their ability to problem solve and resolve the issue was unsatisfactory.

It felt like a bait and switch. Do not assume that what they are selling is what you will get and certainly don’t assume the pictures or floor plans will be similar to what is presented. They admitted that there is a problem with the visuals not matching the actuals. Buyers beware.

The sad part is that the decor and environment is beautiful, but service standards and accuracy is way off what you should expect at the price point.

We had the most incredible experience at Hotel Bardo. From the most friendly staff to the chic interiors, amazing restaurants and beautiful pool, every detail of our stay made it feel like a real retreat. The hotel is located in the perfect location in Savannah, whether you want a relaxing weekend near the park or want to stroll through the town. Hotel Bardo goes above and beyond with the amenities, from the serene spa to the full gym and workout classes. I traveled here with my husband and one year old baby, and we cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you to the entire staff for your amazing hospitality!

Great new hotel still figuring out some kinks. Stayed here for Labor Day long weekend. Hotel is stunning. Rooms are beautiful . Design is modern and sleek. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a brand new hotel that is still figuring out some things. Seems to be understaffed. They advertise free continental breakfast but it really wasn’t breakfast. It was coffee and some pastries likely bought at Costco. We woke up early not to miss it and was disappointed. A feature I really liked about the hotel is that they lend bicycles so you can explore the city . All in all a great hotel

Awesome venue! The F&B program is top notch, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and the little touches like the water stations on each floor and Dyson hair dryers are killer. Matthew up front made the experience even better with accommodating our early arrival.

We will return again.

A beautiful centrally located new modern hotel. Very friendly staff, very concerned about the guest. Rooms were very clean and spacious. When we come back to Savannah, certainly back to the Bardo. There is a swab in the rating because: it was an event over our weekend in the city and the hotel restaurant was fully booked, also because it is fully open for non-hotel guests. We didn’t get a place in the main restaurant for the entire stay of 3 days.

Dear Valentin_0258, Thank you for sharing with us your experience at Hotel Bardo! It's heartening to hear that you encountered such warmth and attentiveness from our team members and that the accommodations were both pristine and spacious. Regarding your feedback about the restaurant experience, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you encountered due to the event and the high demand from non-hotel guests. We understand how important it is for our guests to have access to dining facilities during their stay, and we regret that we were unable to accommodate you in Saint Bibiana throughout your visit. We have stayed here with a family of several generations from 2 years up to 80 years old for a family reunion trip. We chose the hotel for the pool and proximity to the huge playground right across the street and were happily surprised to also find a grocery store for baby items right behind the hotel. The food at the restaurant was one of the best food we had in years. The pool, the proximity to everything, the modern new design, and the treasure hunt for the kids was just amazing for our family. The kids loved it here and were sad to leave. There were some smaller issues with the rooms but the staff was so incredible. Things can happen, right? That’s when a business truly shows its true colors in the way it handles matters. The Bardo staff blew my mind, and I can’t remember a restaurant or hotel were every single person you encounter was amazing and just wants to make things right. From Omar who really made us feel so welcome to the manager who is just as incredible.
I rarely give hotels 5 stars but this one deserves it. Families are not only welcome here but will truly enjoy their stay. Thanks to Omar again for playing with my son while we talked to front desk. He also fixed my son’s broken plane. Omar made this a 5 star hotel in our eyes.
We will stay here again when we visit Savannah next year and also give other Bardo hotels a try.

OMG I don’t know where to start. This was, hands down, one of the best hotel visits I have ever had. The staff is sincerely top notch at every level from the front door to the pool and beyond. We booked thru Fine Hotels and Resorts and were upgraded (thank you Shannon) to a corner king, which was huge, spotless and beautifully decorated. Frette linens? Dyson hairdryer? YES PLEASE. Julia at the front desk answered 1,000 questions with a lovely sense of humor. Rafael, one of the hotel drivers, squired us everywhere. We met Mackenzie at the pool — which is AMAZING— and she cheerfully helped us sort out some things. Fabulous cocktails everywhere. We checked out to stay at another highly rated hotel down the street and were immediately homesick for the Bardo, so much so that we called Amy at the Bardo to tell her again how much we loved our stay. There are absolutely no gaps in the service here. I’ll never stay anywhere else in Savannah. And if I forgot to mention a staff member I am so sorry because you were all flawless AF. 😘😘😘
